His Alpha Female
Chapter 31

SELENE

"Princess!" My dad exclaimed, exasperated at my question but I kept a stoic look on my face. He then turned to my mum who was already staring at him. They both held each other's gazes for a while before my mum sighed and turned to me. She stretched out her hand across the dining table and grabbed mine "We love you, Selene, not being your biological parents doesn't change that" she reassured me and squeezed my hand gently.

I immediately placed my other hand on hers and forced a smile on my face, "I know that mum, and I love the both of you as well but this is something I need to do. It's for me, so please let me know" I pleaded and my voice cracked with each word I said. They both looked at each other again and my dad cleared his throat, "I'll tell you as much as your old man can remember" he said with a wrinkly smile on his face and my face immediately brightened up. "Thank you, Dad, I'm listening," I said and he began speaking.

"Well, it was a few hours before I called you. I was with your mum when a strange old woman came out from nowhere, it was really strange cause we had never seen her around before but she walked around with an air of familiarity and power" he said and my face scrunched up in confusion, "I wanted to call the pack warriors and order them to send her away, but I couldn't seem to move my body. Everything that happened at that moment was really strange, she lingered around for a while before she sat on the couch and stared at us with a creepy smile on her face for at least 3 minutes before she said and I quote, call your daughter and let her know the truth about who she truly is" he paused and looked at my mum, whose face was contorted in fear as if she was reliving the

moment.

"I wanted to speak and ask her who she was, I had a lot of questions to ask her and things to say but I couldn't move any part of my body. It was a scary experience, princess" he shuddered and shook his head before he began speaking again, "well, she repeated her instructions, and just like she came she disappeared into thin air. We spent hours looking for her but we couldn't replace her, so out of fear..." He paused and cast his eyes down, "out of fear, I had to call you and request for your presence" he mumbled, and if not for my enhanced hearing ability, that surprisingly didn't leave when Eliana disappeared, I managed to hear what he said.

My heart sank at the weakness and shame in his voice and I didn't feel like probing for more details, so I glanced at Drystan and he gave me an assuring smile "you've got this" he mouthed as if he read my thoughts and a smile surprisingly made it's way to my face, and I nodded my head then turned to my dad.

I slowly removed the hand I placed on my mum's and grabbed dad's, "it's fine daddy" I said and Drystan suddenly started coughing.

We all immediately turned towards him and he waved his hand dismissively, "sorry about that, I'm fine. Please continue" he said in a hoarse voice and I shook my head at him before I turned away and faced my dad again.

"You don't have to feel ashamed or embarrassed, I'm your daughter. I don't need you to feel weak or embarrassed when telling me the truth, it doesn't change who you are to me" I assured him and turned to my mum immediately, "and you too, mum" I said and a bright smile on her face.

"Well, I feel much better now! And I'm ready to answer your next question on how we saw you and picked you up" He said and I smiled heartily.

"Before you start, the woman that compelled you to tell me the truth... Was her name, Elphaba?" I asked sceptically and their brows furrowed, they looked at each other and then back at me before they shook their head.

"She didn't give us a name, why?" My mum asked and I chuckled.

"It's nothing ma, dad please continue," I said, instantly changing the subject.

My dad took a deep breath and relaxed against his chair as he began speaking, "well, it's a long story princess".

FLASHBACK (third-person POV)

Alpha Reid and his young wife had just finished the pack training and wanted nothing more than to go on a long run away from the pack and spend some time alone

"Are you ready?" Reid asked his wife and she nodded her head eagerly

"I am" she responded instantly and they both discarded the clothes on their body and ran into the woods, they both took off running and visualized their wolves as they ran, and in a few seconds, just right about the same time they both shifted mid-air and dropped on all fours

Reid's huge and brown-furred wolf; Desmond, walked closer to Elise's white wolf and rubbed against her sensually while she purred, "I want to take you right here and right now" Desmond said and Alaska was more than ready to let him have her, but Elise had other plans and before Alaska could stretch out and flaunt her a*s to him, she took control and dashed off

"Catch me if you can" she yelled through the mind link and kept running as fast as her four limbs could carry her. Alaska protested greatly in her head and Elise wanted nothing more than to block her out but because she was in wolf form, she couldn't do that "stop whining, you know he's going to catch up with us soon and we can do all we want to" she muttered and Alaska's whining died down.

Reid howled behind her as soon as she said that to Alaska and she knew he had heard them, so she turned to see where he was and saw him right behind her and she shrieked and made to increase her tempo and run faster but she immediately stopped when she turned and saw what was right in front of her.

Her abrupt stop didn't give Reid enough chance to stop, so he bumped right into her and they nearly came crashing down on the little child that lay right in front of them, but Elise expected that so she put in enough strength on her forelimbs to keep them from crashing

"I'm sorry for bumping into you, but why did you suddenly stop?" He asked and walked away from her back to stand beside her, she didn't get to answer his question because he saw the exact reason for her abrupt stop the moment he stood beside her, "what the f**k!" He cursed out as he stared at the child that was looking up at the both of them with wide doe eyes sparkling in curiosity.

"Who would leave this bundle of joy out here, and that too, all alone" Elise muttered and shifted back into her human form. She picked the little child up and cradled her to her chest. Reid followed suit and shifted into his human form, then scooted closer to them and rubbed the child's cheeks

The baby giggled at the contact and shoved her fist into her mouth in the process, "oh my God! That's so cute, oh my God" Elise cooed as she stared at the baby

"I can't believe someone would abandon this cute little thing out here" Reid mumbled and grabbed her hand in his

She looked away from the child and stared at her husband, "you think she was abandoned? What if the parents just went to you know, lay around or.. I don't know" she said, trying to replace the right words to justify the baby being left alone, but when he gave her the oh really look, her heart broke at the fact that someone abandoned the baby

"We should take her home" she stated after a few seconds of staring at the girl, and Reid nodded immediately in agreement

"We should"

They stared at the baby for a little while longer and just decided to go, but just as they turned on their heels to return to their pack, the baby's drape fell off on the side.

Elise giggled at it and picked up the drape to cover her very well but she paused mid-air and stared at the baby's stomach in shock, "what's this Reid?" She choked out and looked up at her husband, who immediately bent to get a look at what she was talking about. His eyes widened when he saw the birthmark on her side, it was a full moon with an orbit around it, "we tell no one about this" he stated after a while of staring at it in shock and she nodded her head rapidly in agreement. They couldn't let anyone know about such an odd mark.

They both took the baby home after that, and all the years they lived and grew together, they never mentioned the birthmark to anyone up until that very day. ****** PRESENT-DAY ******

"A birthmark? What birthmark, I don't have one?" I asked as soon my parents were done telling the story, and my dad shook his head and shrugged.

"The older you grew, the birthmark became less and less visible until it vanished," my mum said and I turned towards her immediately.

"But what could that mean?" I asked and this time, Drystan answered.

"Well..."
