Chapter 219 He Do Not Know

After hanging up the phone, Lysander felt stuffy in her chest.

Adrian said, “Let Daphne ask. She has many friends, so we’ll know soon enough.” “Oks

“Come on, let’s play ball while we wait.”

As they chatted, Lysander’s phone rang.

Adrian asked, “Is it Daphine? She’s quick.”

“No, it’s my boyfriend.”

Adrian’s expression stiffened. “Oh, is he here to pick you up? Go on, answer it.”

Lysander smiled apologetically, walked to a corner, and answered the call. “Zachary?”

“Lysander, I went to the hospital, but your colleague said you went to a party?”

“Have you finished your work?”

“Yep, just finished. I originally wanted to pick you up so that we could go home together. Is your side ending soon?”

“Should be.”

“Send me your location, and I’ll come pick you up.”

“Okay.”

Lysander sent him the address.

Adrian said, “The hospital isn’t far from here. Have him come inside and play for a bit later.”

Lysander replied, “He’s a geek who lives in his bubble, so he probably doesn’t know how to either.”

“It’s fine. We can get to know each other. Many people in the hospital know that I’ve been pursuing you. If he hears it from the others, he might feel uncomfortable. It’s better to tell him directly, so we can all get along more comfortably in the future/

Lysander thought about it and felt that it made sense.

Thus, she sent another message to Zachary, telling him to come inside when he arrived.

About ten minutes later, Mirage’s door was opened again.

The pool table was a bit far from the door, so he didn’t look their way at first glance, instead, he saw Harry and the woman in pink.

When the two men met, they fist–bumped each other, seeming quite close.

Adrian immediately raised an eyebrow, “Your boyfriend seems close to Harry.”

Lysander wasn’t aware of that.

However, she, Daphne, Zachary, and Harry all graduated from the same high school, so it wasn’t unusual that they knew each other.

However, Adrian’s gaze toward Zachary carried a hint of scrutiny, considering Harry’s poor character.

Lysander’s phone rang again.

“Lysander, I’m inside. Where are you?”

“Look to your left.”

Zachary stood, finally seeing her standing by the pool table. He smiled and waved. “I see you. I’m coming right over.”

When Zachary crossed the room to her, he noticed a man standing beside her and politely asked, “Who’s this. Lysander?”

“Oh, this is Dr. Sutton from the anesthesiology department of our hospital.”

Zachary stretched out his hand. “Hello, Dr. Sutton.”

Adrian didn’t move..

Awkwardness washed over Zachary as his hand was left hanging in the air, unsure whether or not to withdraw it.

Fortunately, Adrian didn’t hesitate too long and generously reached out to shake hands with him. “Hi, Mr. Powell.”

Zachary’s eyes lit up. “How do you know I- Did Lysander tell you?”

“Sort of”

Zachary withdrew his hand and casually held onto Lysander’s hand. “You seem a bit familiar, Dr. Sutton.”

Adrian glanced at the two’s clasped hands and quickly moved his gaze away. “The hospital recently used my photo as an advertisement poster and stuck it at the hospital’s entrance, where everyone passing by can see it.”

“Oh, that’s also possible. For you to be seen as the hospital’s pride at such a young age, you must have a bright future ahead.”

Adrian laughed, neither confirming nor denying his claim. “Do you know how to play pool. Mr. Powell?”

“Sure, shall we go for a round?

Adrian looked at I sander his expression nlayful as if questioning her earlier statement about Zachary
