His Luna’s Already A Luna -
Chapter 29
Lucinda
POV
She'd heard the Alpha Suite door lock behind them, with a chime sound of noise and when she turned to look at the door, noted there was a key pad right next to it, odd. Alpha Corey and Luna Lindy didn't have that and when she thought back to Alpha Jude and Luna Felecia neither had they. She wondered why it was there?
Lucinda had not gotten a look at the place on arrival due to being unconscious, she still couldn't believe that Alpha Corey had done that to her. She would have gotten in the car eventually, she did actually know her place, as much as she hadn't liked it at the time. The hall way was long, they were about halfway down it. The floor up here was again that dark wood, this man liked only dark colours it seemed. If she was to stay here and their bond did work out, she would have to make some colour changes. They walked past a sweeping set of stairs and she could see all the way to the ground floor, wow that was a nice staircase, very grand. Again all dark wood, like his floor, with a wrought iron railing and a nice white pine handrail, broke up the darkness she guessed. The open space to look down, on what she could only think of as the foyer of the pack-house, it was massive. She could see a set of double doors, that were the front doors, people were coming and going. There were several large lounges and singular tub style chairs. All in reds and blues.
Large windows with white curtains over them, would likely show the grounds outside the front of the pack-house, probably a parking area for him and his unit, plus visiting packs. She noted the windows had full shutters for the locking down of the pack house. Good. Hopefully they would work as intended.
He stood next to her while she took it in, gave her a run down of where everything was situated inside the pack house. It surprised her that he had done so right away. Thought he was to much of an "almighty and powerful Alpha" to really care about showing her around.
When the Omega's looked curiously at her after bowing with respect to him, he actually announce without hesitation that she was their future Luna, surprised her completely. Thought he would wait on that, till he'd Marked and Mated her. It was clear to her from this morning, with him and his attempt at playing with her, that he did have every intent of doing so.
Just like he'd stated back in her pack, he wouldn't be accepting a rejection from her.
She saw the three women's eyes widen in complete surprise too, clearly they were not expecting this turn of events. They turned and showed respect to her just like they had done him, she showed it right back, bowing to them as well. One of the smiled at her softly, the other two just moved away.
The smell of the food was killing her, she was absolutely starving. The minute a plate was in her hand, she wandered off to replace food, leaving him to do whatever he would normally do. There were so many different things to choose from. Lucinda would usually eat in her home by herself, rarely eat in the pack house dinning room back at the Half Moon Pack. To many wolves made for a grumpier Ky'ra.
She could feel several eyes on her, this was going to get some taking used to, perhaps it would die down, he had told her he would show her around and introduce her to some people. Maybe they would all stop staring at her, Ky'ra was already prowling inside of her mind, she could feel she was becoming annoyed by the constant stares. Something she hated.
'The first one to come at me, dies.' she snarled at Lucinda.
'No one will, calm down. Their Alpha is your Mate!' 'Die I tell you. Rip his head clean off.'
Lucinda smiled at her wolf but shook it off, ignored the looks she was getting and focused on putting all her favourite foods on her plate, she hoped he wasn't expecting her to eat next to nothing, she liked her food and with the amount of energy Ky'ra used needed to eat a fair bit, most of the time.
There were so many things to choose from, from danish to fresh fruit salad, pancakes and waffles with a multitude of syrups to choose from. Bacon, sausages, hash browns and six different type of eggs. A bunch of cereals and toast. A dozen different juices. But it was the smell of freshly ground coffee beans that drew her attention the most. Thank the Goddess there was coffee, yes she would be having a large cup or two this morning.
She turned to see where to sit and found him standing watching her, from a few steps away, holding a plate of his own she was already sipping from her coffee, Goddess it was good. A beautiful dark roast with a hint of hazelnut she thought, delicious indeed. "Come and sit with my Unit and I'll introduce you." he stated.
She followed him to sit down at the table, Jeremy was already there and two other men, they were all watching her with interest. He had a space for her between himself and his Beta she noted.
"Sleep well?" his Beta asked with a snicker, clearly amused by her transportation to the pack, and knowing where she had woken up this morning, knowing she wouldn't have been happy about it.
She leaned down to his ear before sitting down and snapped her teeth at him "looking to get bitten again." she shot back and then winked right at him, amusement filling her tone, when his eyes turned on her a little shocked.
"What?" the other two men at the table asked together.
Nicholas smiled at that "Ah I seen he left out, the getting bit by his Luna, didn't he, only relays what's amusing to himself."
Lucinda used her foot to hook the chair in front of her and pull it out to sit down.
"Ky'ra took a nice chunk our of him." she smirked at the Beta "He tasted real good." she chuckled. They were all staring at her now, three amused faces and one frowning. She ignored Alpha Nicholas's frown "She might just do it again, yet." then snapped her teeth firmly through the pancake she was ready to eat, and eyed him off with a smile. Jeremy actually laughed right at her. "Oh you and I...we're going to get along just fine."
Alpha Nicholas cleared his throat and they all looked at him, he still looked unimpressed by her light playful tone with Jeremy. "Kevin my Gamma" he nodded to the man sitting across from her.
He looked to be about the same age as Alpha Nicholas, had strawberry blonde hair pulled up into a man bun on the top of his head. Looked like he hadn't shaved it a couple of days. Nice looking man with dark grey eyes that were on her, he was assessing her as much as she was him. Tall too, though not as tall as his Alpha or Beta for that matter.
He was leaning back in his chair like he didn't have a care in the world, sipping a cup of tea, she noted. Interesting choice. She could see from his very tight fitting light blue shirt he had, on that both his n****e's were pierced, cross bars it looked like, he also had his left ear pierced, a dark Green stone in it, an emerald she guessed.
"He's the most sensible one of the unit."
Jeremy snorted, but stifled the laugh when his Alpha shot him a glare of annoyance.
Something was going on there that was for sure. Perhaps the Alpha didn't know his men, as well as he thought he did.
"Braidy my Delta." he nodded to the man across from Jeremy.
Again looked to be the same age, they all probably were. He had brown curly hair, which was neatly brushed back, with a bit of hair gel, she imagined it was probably unruly at times. He had light brown eyes that were assessing her like she was him, about the same height as Kevin she thought, he'd had his nose broken before it was a little crooked, the man held a deep tan, she could see tattoos on his neck and that his arms were sleeved as well, forests with wolves and a full moon down one and a tribal sleeve on the other. "Influenced easily by Jeremy." Alpha Nicholas shook his head.
Ah! so two trouble makers then, she just smiled at him and give him a wink too. He smiled right back at her.
"And you know Jeremy, my Beta."
That she did, he was almost as tall as his Alpha, only a few inches off, with dirty blonde hair messily styled to the right side, he had both sides shaved short. Dark chocolate brown eyes, he too had sleeved arms, one sported a beautiful woman with a moon behind her and long flowing hair, with several wolf pups around her, likely a representation of the moon goddess herself. The other had wolves fighting each other, but one standing over the rest. She recognised his own wolf's image. Looking over the fight.
She leaned back in her chair and just looked them over, Noted that Thomas and all the boys from her Unit were bigger than both Kevin and Braidy, build wise, "You boys don't look like you train enough." she stated flatly.
The whole table went dead quiet and she found four sets of eyes on her.
"They train every day, everyone does here, regardless of rank. Even the omega's train." Alpha Nicholas informed her his tone implied he hadn't liked her statement.
"Hmm. she shrugged "My unit is bigger and more impressive."
"Your old unit. You don't have a unit now." he informed her.
"Then slot me into your retrieval team right away." she glared at him. Not liking that he had told her, she had not unit anymore.
"The Alpha Unit handles that kind of work. Not that there is much call for it."
She was staring at him now, if he thought she was going to sit around, that would cause him more trouble than he could possibly imagine. A pretty penny too, in replacing the stuff Ky'ra would destroy, in her board-em.
"I'll take border patrol till you replace something suitable then. Which is the border that sustains the most rogue attacks?"
"Not going to happen today. We can discuss that once you settle in." His voice was firm and she got the feeling he wasn't going to even consider it at this point.
"Alpha Nicholas, if you think I am just going to sit around and look pretty, this fork will be embedded in you. I'm not one and neither is Ky'ra for that matter, for sitting around doing nothing."
"Today, I told you I'd be showing you around the pack. We can discuss your job or what you want to do, once your initiated into the pack. Please also call me Nick."
'We're going to be bored!' Ky'ra piped up, annoyed.
'I guess he'll learn the hard way! Lucinda replied to Ky'ra.
Nick, she thought as she ate the rest of her breakfast and watched the members of the pack move about doing there thing. Omega's clearing plates, making sure there was enough food, for the still incoming wolves. She noted a few of the she-wolves glaring at her. Raised an eyebrow at one in particular who was really trying to give her, what Lucinda could only class as a death stare. Her hand tapped the knife she was holding on the table absently, as she stared right back at the woman. Tall with blonde hair, not wearing a great deal, either came from training or was showing off her body.
She felt a hand on her and then the knife was removed. Her eyes moved to Nick's "there will be no knife throwing in this dinning room." he told her, clearly saw what was going on.
"Then tell your" she glared at him and moved her eyes back to the she-wolf, she didn't want to really insult the woman, but even Ky'ra was growling now, at the way the woman was glaring at her 'Bed buddy, to stop glaring at me, or Ky'ra will have a piece of her." "They all already know, I have found my Mate. It won't be an issue." he stated as if that was the end of the matter.
"You're right." she ignored his tone. "it won't be if she keeps glaring at me like that. I'll put her firmly in her place."
"You will do no such thing." he shot at her and saw that stupid she-wolf smile smugly at her, she'd heard the entire conversation and was certain she was fine, that as his former or current lover she was protected by him.
'I'll rip her head off."
'I'll let you, if she doesn't back off. Lucinda smiled, she felt Ky'ra push forward to really look at the she-wolf, her whole body was standing with Ky'ra right there on the surface.
Heard Nick tell her to back down.
It was enough, that she-wolf was nearly laughing now, she slammed her fork down into the table prongs first right next to where she knew his hand was, while still staring down that b***h of a she-wolf, it didn't stab him, wasn't meant to, just a warning. "Boss." she heard Jeremy speak "Might not want to piss Ky'ra off day one. Mate's can be excessively possessive."
Oh it was too late for that, that smug b***h was still smirking at her, oh she was going to under estimate them too. Because Lucinda was so small, well she would learn the hard way. Ky'ra was all on the surface now. Spoiling for a fight with the stupid she-wolf. She felt a hand touch hers, soft and gentle "Lucinda...Honey, calm down." a wave of calmness washed over her, she shook her head and frowned, turned to see who was touching her, Kevin the Gamma, he had a hand on hers, his fingers were stroking the back of her hand lightly. She frowned at him.
Blinked a couple of times "It's alright...just calm down, you know you want to." his voice was soft and silky smooth, rolled out with a southern drawl.
What the hell was going on. Ky'ra had laid down in her mind even, settled and willing to do as the man said. She herself sank back down into her chair with a frown and stared at him, couldn't take her eyes from his. Knew he'd done something to her, but what? It was the darnedest thing she'd gone from furiously angry to calm and so quickly. Even Ky'ra was calm right this minute.
He smiled right at her, his dark grey eyes seemed to be looking past her and into her soul, he was wielding some kind of power over her that much she did know. "All better now yes?" he asked softly
"What did you do to me. What are you?" she asked him needing to understand.
"I'm the Gamma." he smiled right at her releasing her hand finally. "you're Gamma."
"so, what did you do to me?"
He laughed softly "I can calm you down, I can calm nearly any she-wolf, its my Charm."
"Don't you ever do that to me again." she snapped at him "I didn't like it."
Kevin just winked at her "I'll be a good Gamma, I promise."
She had no idea what that exactly meant. Turned her attention back to the she-wolf in question, who looked pissed off but was no longer looking at her 'I'll put her in her place' Ky'ra told her with a huff.
"I've warned her." Nick's voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Your latest f**k I imagine." she snapped at him angrily. Then got up from the table and stalked off. It did bother her, they might not be Marked or Mated, but she was to be the future Luna of this pack according to him and that she-wolf was out right disrespecting her. She banged her dishes into the sink and stalked out of the room. Felt a hand clamp around her wrist "If you're done throwing your tantrum. I'll show you around." Nick was standing next to her.
