I Am Unstoppable
Chapter 414

Chapter 414

Everyone had the same question in their minds.

Jonathan said in a deep voice, “The revered ancestor has left me a silk pouch. If we face anunavoidable crisis, we can seek refuge in Fog City.”

Fog City!

Walrion asked, “Is there a secret place in Fog City that we don't know about?”

Beatrix answered solemnly, “Even if there is, we don't have any more time. Anakin and the rest arecoming soon.”

The sounds of footsteps grew louder, indicating that they were about to arrive.

Jonathan had no other way.

He scanned his surroundings, but he could not see anything amiss.

At that moment, Fog City began to change.

The fog in the air started to gather toward where the revered ancestor was cultivating.

It was gathering at such a rapid speed that it immediately formed a huge vortex.

“It's a passage toward the dimensional space!” exclaimed Beatrix, delighted. “The passage can onlylast for at most ten seconds. Everyone, enter now!” She was the first to leap into the fog vortex.

Jonathan said to Yeverie and Aurora, “Go ahead.”

Aurora and Yeverie were touched that Jonathan let them escape first even during such a criticalmoment. Not daring to delay any longer, they quickly jumped into the fog vortex.

“Mabel!” yelled Jonathan.

Soon, Mabel jumped in as well.

“Walrion!” continued Jonathan.

To avoid wasting any time, Walrion hopped in as well.

At that moment when Anakin kicked the door open, Jonathan swiftly jumped into the fog vortex.

By the time Anakin's party entered, the fog vortex gradually disappeared. It eventually dispersed intothe endless fog that filled Fog City.

“F*ck!” spat Anakin furiously.

Larry and the rest entered too.

“Your Highness, where did they go?” he asked, confused. We followed them in! They can't possiblyhave disappeared into thin air, right?

Anakin's face contorted with fury as he yelled, “Leahra, that b*tch! She left a passage to the

dimensional space here! B*tch! I'm her descendant. How dare she hand over our kingdom to anoutsider?”

With his anger reaching its peak, Anakin blew up Leahra's throne and obliterated it with a single blow.

The onlookers, including Larry, were seized with a mixture of shock and terror. They thought thatAnakin was too arrogant and disrespectful toward Leahra.

“What should we do now?” asked Larry.

Anakin took a deep breath, trying to quell the flames of anger burning within him. “How manymarquises are still alive?” he asked.

Larry answered, “Only four remain, but they're all wounded.”

Anakin said, “Very well. Tell them, if they are willing to pledge loyalty to me, their past transgressionsshall be forgiven. If not, they will be instantly sentenced to death.”

“Understood,” replied Larry.

Anakin continued, “And announce that Jonathan and his companions have died. Do not let the slightestwhisper of their escape get out.”

“Got it!”

Anakin turned to his subordinates behind him. “What about you guys?”

“Understood!” replied everyone instantly.

On this fateful night, a definitive shift in power among the Dietrich family unfolded, with Anakinemerging as the unrivaled victor.

Solorel's lifeless corpse was hung outside the castle walls.

Caught between the choices of life and death, the Four Marquises decided to pledge their allegiance toAnakin.

It was not a surprising choice, for everyone fears death.

Moreover, the Four Marquises had their own hidden motives. They believed that their king had notperished. Should he return in the future, they wished to remain in his service and be useful to him.

Anakin understood that as well, so he did not fully trust the Four Marquises. Only the most tiring andtedious tasks would be entrusted to them.

If he succeeded in killing Jonathan, he would still be able to win the Four Marquises' loyalty.

Anakin had lost some capable warriors in this endeavor as well. The princes were becoming restless. After all, those vampire viscounts and dukes were far from virtuous subjects. To consolidate his ruleand hold on to his power, Anakin knew he must strengthen his subordinates' powers.

Since the Four Marquises were quite capable, he spared their lives.

The night passed quickly.

In the Alberbridge Range, Lesley's condition was getting worse and worse.

When the first rays of morning sunlight shone on his body, he felt an overwhelming sense of fatigue. His hands and face were covered with the marks of black poisonous gas, which was just short ofinfiltrating his heart.

Once that happened, even the gods would not be able to save Lesley.

Resting upon a rock, Lesley gazed upward, his eyes fixated on the breathtaking morning sky. Theclouds were gorgeous and the beauty of the dawn was unforgettable.

“Farewell, this beautiful world,” Lesley murmured before closing his eyes.

Feeling the poison slowly attack his heart, he knew that nothing could save him anymore.

Will there be another miracle? No way. How can there be so many miracles in this world? Even ifthere's a miracle, how special must it be to be able to save my life?

Lesley could not envision it.

However, at that moment, an unexpected miracle happened.

A small black speck was flying toward him rapidly.

This tiny dot, which was no larger than a mosquito, suddenly flew into his nostril.

Lesley's eyes widened in an instant. He knew that something had entered his body.

F*ck! What's up with this series of unfortunate events? Why do these strange animals just keepthrowing themselves at me?

Yet, what followed was even stranger. Lesley felt that bug-like thing devouring the poison within his

body. It was devouring the poison happily. Soon, Lesley could sense that the toxins within him hadalready disappeared completely.

All feelings of discomfort were gone.

He could hardly believe that all of this was real.

Have I gone from hell to heaven in an instant?

Lesley abruptly sat up and could see what was in front of him clearly.

Slowly, a woman dressed in a blue fairy dress approached.

She seemed to be in her early twenties and had fair skin and a beautiful face. She moved toward himgracefully like a princess straight out of a fairy tale, exuding an air of nobility, elegance, and gentleness.

When she reached Lesley, she scanned the surroundings before finally resting her gaze on him.

In that instant, Lesley was captivated.

He had seen many beautiful girls before, but none had ever stirred his heart quite like how she did.

At that moment, countless phrases flooded Lesley's mind. Love at first sight. The first magicalencounter...

The girl scrutinized Lesley before greeting him with a gentle smile, “Hello.”

Although she was Chanaean, her skin was exceptionally fair.

“Hello!” Lesley replied dumbfoundedly.

“This is strange. How did you end up all alone in this wilderness?”

Lesley snapped back to reality, feeling somewhat embarrassed. “Um, I'm here to travel... No, actually,I... Well, the truth is, I'm a vampire. But since I don't want to feed on human blood, I came here.”

He wasn't naturally skilled in lying. Furthermore, he did not want to lie to the girl of his dreams.

The girl was taken aback by his words. She asked abruptly, “Will you drink my blood, then?”

“Of course not!” Lesley's face turned red. “I really won't. Even if you kill me, I'll still refuse.”

The girl smiled warmly and introduced herself, “You're so interesting! You're even blushing. I'mCharlotte Schwein. And you?”

“Chocolate Wine?” Lesley was surprised.

Rolling her eyes, the girl retorted, “It's Charlotte Schwein. It's a name that signifies freedom.”

Lesley rose to his feet. “I'm Lesley Quinton.”

Charlotte extended her hand warmly. “It's a pleasure to meet you!” Lesley eagerly shook hands withher.

She asked, “By the way, did you see Webzie?”

“Webzie?” repeated Lesley curiously.

“Yes, Webzie. It's an ancient magical mosquito—a rare breed that feeds on all sorts of poison. We'vebeen tracking down the highly poisonous Scorpion King for the past few days.”

A sudden realization washed over Lesley. I probably ate that scorpion! He had also been disorientedfor the past few days.

Just then, he felt a tickling sensation in his nostril. To his surprise, Webzie, the magical mosquito, flewout from his nose and toward Charlotte.

Her face lit up with joy when she spotted the magical mosquito, which swiftly nestled inside an emeraldpendant hanging from her chest.

There was a hole that was large enough for it to sleep inside.

“Why did Webzie enter your body?” asked Charlotte curiously. “Are you okay?”

Lesley chuckled wryly and replied, “Funny enough, I owe my life to Webzie. Otherwise, I would be deadright now.”

“What happened?”

“I had some health issues before that required me to consume fresh human blood. Reluctant to do so, Ifled to these mountains alone. Just when my condition was worsening and I was on the brink of death, I

encountered the Scorpion King that you mentioned. When it bit me, I drank its blood and fell victim toits poison. Just moments ago, it was about to infiltrate my heart. I thought I was doomed, but Webzieflew over and sucked all the poison from my body.”

A sudden realization dawned upon Charlotte. Smiling, she said, “Webzie is particularly fond of theScorpion King's poison. It was drawn here by the scorpion's scent.”

“Thank you for saving my life,” said Lesley.

Charlotte beamed and replied, “There's no need to thank me.” Pausing for a moment, she continued,“Where are you heading? I won't hold you back any longer. Goodbye.”

With that, she prepared to part ways with Lesley.

However, he was extremely unwilling to let her leave. He knew that if he let this opportunity passwithout getting to know her, he might never see this girl again.
