I Love You, My Possessive Alpha -
Scene 2
I ran through the forest, my paws treading the damp earth, the tall grasses sliding the dew onto my coat. My thoughts were fuzzy and my body was getting weak… I wanted to scream my hatred at the world. At the flax, a concrete road brought me to my senses. I couldn’t break down now. I decided to follow it, while remaining somewhat hidden in the forest. I preferred to take precautions in case someone spotted me. I suppose, seeing a big white wolf covered in b***d walking near the road must attract attention.
I’d only been running for a few hours and could already see a village emerging from the mist as I went along. In my head, a dilemma appeared: should I stop to regain my strength or simply keep going or get as far away as possible? My aching, bruised body seemed to decide for me. Wandering around for a few minutes, I came across a small, abandoned-looking cottage. I broke the window of this house and entered still in my wolf form. When I was inside and sure I was alone, I transformed back into my human form. I used the walls to progress through the house. I reached a bedroom where I stole some clothes from a chest of drawers and took a shower in the adjoining room.
Feeling the warm water on my skin felt so good, I got dressed and collapsed on the bed. After half an hour, I woke up with a start and got up. I was aware that falling asleep here had been a very bad idea and that I’d been lucky the owners hadn’t returned. I started rummaging through the furniture, looking for weapons or anything useful. I found some money in a jar in the kitchen. I took some food from the cupboards and left. I walked into a hotel and ordered a room so that I could end my night in peace. The receptionist tried to make conversation with me, asking what had brought me here at such a late hour. I coldly replied that it was none of her business and that I just needed a room now. I put a bill on the counter and gave her an insistent look to hurry up. She lost her fake smile and showed me a door upstairs. I climbed in without a word and lay down on the bed. I fell asleep immediately, such was the strain of the day.
I opened my eyes the next morning and remembered everything that had happened the day before… Looking back, I felt miserable. I’d run away. I’d abandoned my whole pack. I knew that blaming myself and moping over past events wouldn’t do me any good. I couldn’t blame myself for obeying my Alpha’s last order. However, I was terribly angry. He was dead because of me, right in front of my eyes. And what’s worse, I was so weak that I hadn’t even defended him… I was also confused… One question kept circling in my head: why had he asked me to run away? I assumed that his macho male spirit had taken over to protect the sweet little fragile female that I was…
I could have sobbed, but crying my eyes out was rather unusual for me… I got up from my bed and left the hotel.
I wanted to go back to the battlefield to see the damage, maybe it was stupid, but a strange instinct compelled me to do so… I turned into a wolf, tore off my clothes again and walked for hours, following the smell of b***d… When I reached the edge of the plain, I was shocked… Cain’s descendants had piled up all the corpses of my pack members and burned them. At the foot of the mountain of corpses lay Tom’s, without his head, with a symbol drawn in his own b***d: that of Cain, that of Ares.
I can’t stop myself from screaming.
– You bastard! I shouted in pain.
– I’m grateful. A deep voice answered, startling me.
I turned and saw Ares himself…I was petrified. He jumped on me, tackling me to the ground, preventing me from making the slightest movement. I was at his mercy.
– It’s not very loyal to run away during a fight, even if you know it’s already lost. he continued.
– My Alpha ordered me to run, so I obeyed! I retorted with my manly voice and changed eyes.
– Except that now I’m your Alpha. he said.
– I’ll never obey your orders! I replied.
– Change! he ordered.
At his words, my body changed into a woman. I tried as best I could to hide my naked body. Ares looked at me in astonishment.
– So the coward is a coward… What other trick can you do? asked Ares.
– None but this… I lied
– Of course, it takes a weakling like you years to learn a trick as easy as disguising your voice. he declared, looking down on me.
– No, he didn’t! It took me a sem… I cut myself off, realizing that I mustn’t say too much for him to continue underestimating me.
– A week? Impossible! Only Alphas can learn in such a short time, and you’re nowhere near the shit of an Alpha! Now stop lying and follow me! he barked.
– Never! Never! I’ve already told you! I shouted
– Then you won’t mind if I remove the head of that kid who came to see if there were any other survivors. I was going to keep her as a trophy but…if you make me… he sneered cruelly.
He grinned evilly. He wasn’t joking… The little girl in question was surely one of the only survivors of my pack. I’d seen her playing with other children in the village…before… The little redhead was crying, her pretty white dress stained with b***d. Probably her parents’.
– Gard! Kill! growled the Alpha.
He was talking to a big, dark gray wolf.
– No! Stop! You win, I’m coming with you. I m****d
– Swear to obey me until you die, or she’ll die because of you! he announced.
