Chapter 204 Ungrateful

Lily led Harper to the hospital room, where Paul had already woken up. He was in the midst of angrily berating Benjamin with Scott. "That little traitor, is he trying to start a rebellion? Has he forgotten everything the Mitchell family has done for the Martin family? Now he dares to be ungrateful?"

Paul became so agitated that he began gasping for breath, his face reddening and his neck bulging with coughs.

Seeing this, Harper quickly stepped forward to pat his back, helping him catch his breath gently. "Grandpa, please don't get worked up. Your health is more important."

Paul grasped Harper's hand and gave it a gentle pat. "Harper, I owe you an apology. I'm sorry for the trouble."

"Grandpa, what are you apologizing for? This isn't your fault..."

After all, Harper was the one getting divorced. Although it was Benjamin who initiated it, she insisted on going through it.

She couldn't blame herself or Benjamin.

But she never expected Benjamin to go to such extremes.

Harper was so angry with Paul that she ended up in the hospital, so she didn't want to bring him up again and worsen his mood.

However, Paul took the initiative to assure her, "Harper, don't worry, I will take care of this matter for the Mitchell family."

Harper just nodded slightly and said softly, "Grandpa, no matter what you do, please prioritize your health over everything else. Don't stress out Lily and Scott, okay?" Paul nodded, and Scott and Lily also vigorously agreed with Harper's words.

Just as Paul was about to say something more to Harper, the door of the hospital room swung open again.

Benjamin was in a dusty black suit, his hair slightly disheveled, entered, his face drawn tight and gloomy.

Harper looked up, her eyes meeting Benjamin's gaze.

Before anyone could react, Paul impulsively grabbed a water cup nearby and hurled it at Benjamin. "Get out! You dare to come back? Just get out!"

Paul was visibly agitated, his expression stern and severe.

The cup struck Benjamin on the right arm without him attempting to dodge, making a dull thud, yet he didn't even flinch.

Seeing this, Lily quickly stepped forward to hold Benjamin back. "Can't you at least announce yourself when you enter? Look how upset you've made Grandpa."

Benjamin, expressionless, his deep

eyes shimmering faintly, walked over to the hospital bed, his voice husky. "We've fought, and we've had the shouting. Can you calm down now?"

Paul was so furious he couldn't utter a single word.

Scott's voice was deep and stern, and he said, Benjamin, stop upsetting your grandfather. Resume the partnership with the Mitchell Group immediately and clarify that it was just a mishap in the project department."

"Dad, what kind of authority will I have in the company if I take back my words now?"

"You..."

"This decision wasn't made in haste. It's been in the plans all along, so nothing anyone says can change my mind." Benjamin's words were like an irrevocable royal decree.

Harper looked at his cold face, feeling as if something was clenched tightly in her heart, making it hard to breathe.

Paul didn't want to hear another word from him, while Scott and Lily, worried about Paul's health worsening due to his agitation, pulled Benjamin out of the room.

The room fell silent immediately after, and only then did Paul turn to Harper, and he said apologetically, "Harper, I..."

"Grandpa, you shouldn't worry. Just

take care of yourself because who will

arrives?" Harper said, lifting her eyebrows with a slight smile.
