I'm Not Yours, Alpha
I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 1

In a world divided by castes where the alphas rule, the betas work and the omegas obey. Dominic was at the top and in the prime of his life. Coming from a multi-millionaire family with a legacy of powerful, dominant and empowered alphas, he had the luxury of doing whatever they wanted and more. Who would oppose them? No one. Few could stand up to those who had their name.

Besides, with an appearance worthy of his status and the strength worthy of a full-fledged alpha to tower over many, he had no reason to complain at 32 years of age.

Although

Unlike all of his high caste, Dominic wasn’t looking for his destined mate, he didn’t want anyone who would make him lose his head to the point of wanting to give it all up. He liked to be in control. His life, right now was, quite simply, perfect.

That didn’t take away from the fact that he was a responsible man when it came to business. He had recently bought a new company, not so big and not so prestigious, which was in mortal decline and focused mainly on the world of makeup. Well, that only betas would work there.

That meant zero problems and more productivity.

First thing in favor, she wouldn’t have to deal with the classic fights between alpha ranks that used to happen or the tense atmosphere that was always created. Second, no omega or omega would make a pass at her using her zeal or pheromones as an excuse to go after her money or status.

That was something he could not afford. By his side he already had an omega, with enough status and power to be able to stand by his side and who would give birth to her strong and healthy cubs. Although he had to take away the detail that he had not yet branded her. That would be after the next wedding. Before that it could cause problems.

Nor would he be stupid to refuse his destined mate should she ever appear in his life, but for the moment it was better to be safe than sorry. If he wasn’t looking for her, she wouldn’t have to show up.

The car pulled up in front of the building that needed more than a touch-up, something he would do and put it at the top of the market, so he would no longer have to hear that he was living off his parents’ money. In his world appearances, name, recognition, and your own achievements came first. Being alpha wasn’t so easy either, and although he was already generating his own millions, his parents’ billions were always in the shadows.

-You’re leaving me alone already?” the girl next to him rubbed against his arm.

Despite being in a relationship two years ago, Dominic wanted her, but he didn’t love her, she was just the one. He could consider himself lucky, she was a beauty with huge blue eyes and abundant dark hair, still, there was something missing.

-I’ll be back as early as I can,” he gave her a quick k**s on the lips and left. If he stayed too long she would keep insisting and from experience he knew she ended up being unbearable.

One of the staff was already waiting for him at the entrance to take him to the meeting room where he had called one in the morning. He was quick, he didn’t like detours and he needed to make his points clear. He was in charge and what he said would be done.

His secretary, a beta

His secretary, a beta male two years younger and smarter than he looked, sat next to him as he entered and settled in. At least 10 other people were waiting for him, quite tense. Sergei noticed the empty seat three seats to his left, before starting.

-Who is the missing person?” he asked in his usual serious tone. Intimidating betas and subordinates was at the top of his agenda, he would not tolerate disrespect to his person just because he was younger than most of those present.

-Excuse your tardiness. He is the head of the Design department. He is finishing compiling all the information that the previous director had about the project and he said he would only be a few minutes,” one of them notified him.

The alpha leaned his face on the hand that rested on the table with his elbow. He saw the man tense up, but did not reply. The truth had called the meeting only an hour ago and it was well known how bad a job the former director had done. He didn’t bother too much, he still had plenty of time.

About ten minutes had passed, when the dense atmosphere of the office was interrupted by the sound of the door opening and the sound of a…young man’s voice.

-Excuse me, I’m sorry for the delay.

Dominic felt the earth beneath his feet tremble and his world suddenly came crashing down.

It…could…not…be.

A soft but delicious smell that made him shiver from the tip of his toe to his head and his back begin to be drenched in sweat came like a flash of lightning to his nose and he became dizzy, losing his composure for a few seconds.

Next to him, Leo, his secretary tapped his shoulder and saw his boss’s disoriented expression. He frowned. Dominic never lost his composure like that.

-What’s going on?” he asked him slyly, taking advantage of the fact that those present were attentive to the newcomer.

-Leo, what the hell is an omega doing in this company?” he answered with gritted teeth and feeling his breath hitch. His fangs threatened to pierce his lower l*p.

-I don’t understand what you’re saying, I checked the personnel papers before I arrived and there is nothing outside of what you asked for,” she said.

-Then what do I have before me?” he looked at the small, slender young man with crystalline golden eyes and an ordinary face framed by short, shiny dark hair, which seemed too feminine for a boy.

Leo studied the boy for a few seconds and found nothing strange. He recognized him by remembering the image in his file. Aidan Miller, Head of the Design Department, 23 years old, Beta. Just in case he checked his collar, he found nothing but a thin, unadorned gold chain. Not even the Omegas’ signature protective collar, let alone a trace of a supposed mark.

He gave him the information in a whisper and his boss still didn’t seem to understand the situation. The alpha was intelligent so he had no idea of what was happening, nor of the interest in that boy, perhaps he had caught his attention, he didn’t think so, Dominic, as far as he knew, was quite faithful and was not known to have any scandal.

-Leo, replace out everything about him,” she whispered before recovering and putting on her serious face again, “I think he’s… my destined mate.

The beta grimaced and looked at both the newcomer and his boss. Now the alpha, if he had gone mad.
