Upon arriving downstairs at the lobby, she went ahead and paid theroom fees. Miranda would take forever to get up from bed.

Twelve o'clock was the checkout time.

Skylar felt as if she was Miranda's mother instead. After being in prisonfor a long time and having to rejoin society, Miranda was behaving likean innocent little girl.

Those times when Skylar used to visit her in prison, Miranda was actingtotally different. She couldn't wait to claw her fingers around Skylar andchoke her to death.

Then, she suddenly transformed. Which one was the real her?

After she managed to get a cab and arrived at the address Kate hadgiven, the audition location was at Terrier Bay.

The casting crew for the advertisement wouldn't cast people who wereof B grade and above. Even though the product was a huge brand, theywere fully confident and there was no need to create more awarenessin the market.

The cost of the advertisement would mainly be spent on purchasingvaluable segments, and they didn’t need to spend much on celebrities.Upon arriving the audition location, Skylar saw that there were quite afew others of the same age as her.

Everyone seemed pretty relaxed because they didn’t have much hopein getting casted. It would be great if they did, if not everything wasfine too.

Skylar saw a familiar face among the crowd—it was Luciana. She wasyawning with her head tilted to one side while tapping on her cellphone.

She lifted her head up and saw Skylar, before waving at her.

Luciana looked a little under the weather and it was as if she wassuffering from a hangover. There were even visible bruises on her arm.“Why did you come for such a trivial advertisement? Didn't you signwith Daryl Williams?” Luciana stared at her lethargically.

Skylar lowered her head and looked at the script she received uponarriving. “I haven't signed yet. I am now without a company, noassistant and lack of resources.”

Luciana laughed. “Were you dumped by Tobias? You'll get used to it.Men like them would only harbor feelings towards women for a weekand I'm not even downplaying it. I was almost ruined by that bastardHoward. He even said I was his number two girl. How useless.”

She was furious and her smile disappeared after she had said that.Skylar's lips curled. “I should congratulate you for not being scammedanymore.”

Luciana frowned and she was bitter from within. A nobody like herwould only succeed using such tactics.

If she were to rely on her own ability, only God would know how long itwould take for her to succeed. She didn’t need anyone to feel relievedfor her. She just wanted to reach her target as soon as possible.Skylar's script was very simple as it was only one line, It's really MMBeans!

She was trying to figure out what kind of expression the director wouldbe looking for.

Upon seeing her being so serious, Luciana waved her hand and said,“The advertising fee is less than three thousand, so there's no need foryou to be so serious.”

Skylar frowned. The job that Kate introduced was indeed threethousand only. She might have been too naive in thinking that it wouldbe easy to earn money in the entertainment industry.

She thought the minimum would be at least five thousand.

Upon hearing her name being called, she bent down and straightenedthe creases on her pants, before walking up on stage.

Skylar was very good looking. Once she stepped onto the stage, herbeautiful looks had captured the attention of many instantaneously. Her teacher once told her that her beautiful looks was a blessing givenby God.

The advertisement director was very young, and he looked as if he wasin his early thirties. He was wearing a baseball cap that had an MMBeans logo imprinted on it.

"We can start now.”

“There really are MM Beans!” Skylar's tone wasn't an exaggerated oneand her gorgeous smile was captivating.

She sounded as if she was flirting and whispering to her boyfriend.

It wasn't fake at all but utterly sweet.

The director booked Skylar on the spot and she was expected to shootthe commercial the very next day. The duration for the shoot would betwo days.

Normally, there would be agents waiting outside seeking for talentsand handing out business cards at casting places like that.

Skylar left and the moment she arrived at the entrance, about two orthree men shoved their business cards into her hands. They were allfrom small agencies and even online influencer platforms.

Skylar held the business cards in her hands and saw that the last onehad an online influencer training platform printed on it.
