Skylar's lips curled. These companies were famous for their notoriousexploitation. They would have their talents make money by doing livestreams and would charge a lot for training fees prior to that.

She kept the business cards inside her pocket and told them she wouldconsider the offer in order to escape from their grasp.

She called Kate to tell her that she was successfully booked for thecommercial.

Kate acknowledged that indifferently then hung up the phone. Skylarcould vaguely hear through the phone that Kate seemed to be at someshooting location.

Amelia asked her, “Kate, who's that?”

“It's one of Tobias’ fling. Previously, he wanted to sign with me but Iincreased the price last minute and that made him angry. We are still ina stalemate. That girl has pretty good standards, and I hope to take herunder my wing.”

Amelia's face darkened. “You've said you wouldn't guide new people fornow."

Claudia’s surgery went well and Tobias was utterly relieved.

Ever since she was hospitalized for two days, Claudia hadn't seen Tanyaat all. She asked Tobias, “Where is Tanya? She must be pretty upsetnow."

“She's at the mental hospital for treatment after her breakdown,” Tobiassaid indifferently while his eyes darkened.

Claudia’s heart shrank upon hearing that. She continued asking Tobias,“Are you the one who sent her there? Tanya is such a nice lady, and itmust've been you who had caused her so much pain.”

“She had a miscarriage and a hysterectomy. Why would you still wantme to marry her if she wouldn't be able to conceive anymore? If youinsist, then I have nothing to say,” Tobias uttered, clear of Claudia’sintentions.

She had been dreaming of having grandchildren, so why would sheallow a woman who wasn't able to conceive to marry into the Fords?Claudia sighed. Finally she said, “Her life has been rough and it'sunfortunate for her to end up being like this. Which hospital is she at?I'll go and visit her.”

“Focus on your recovery, and stop thinking of other stuff,” Tobiasreplied instantly, not wanting Claudia to meet Tanya

That woman was like a ticking time bomb—it was better to stay awayfrom her.

When Susan said that Tanya was pitiful, he disagreed because thingshappened for a reason. It was her responsibility for ending up in hersituation.

“I will never accept that woman whether or not you end up being withTanya. Let me be clear.” Claudia bit her lips upon mentioning Skylar.She had never hated a person to this extent. That girl comes from a lessthan ideal background, and she sure is sinister and evil.

It would be very unfortunate if she were to be married into the family.Tobias frowned; he was very familiar with Claudia’s stubbornness. Skylarwas just unlucky, but it wasn't her fault. It was his problem because hewas unable to bring both perspectives into play.

Claudia forced Tobias to promise that he wouldn't continue seeingSkylar.

Tobias ignored her and said, “Don’t worry about me, I'll manage myown problems. I'd never said I would marry her.”

At the hospital's corridor, Sheldon took out his cell phone and showedTobias.

“Where did you get the photo from?”

“It was taken by my friend and he said that he saw a beautiful lady. Shelooks so beautiful even though it was taken by a camera. I heard it wastaken at some commercial shooting location.”

Tobias deleted the photo from Sheldon’s phone. It seemed like Skylarhad no choice but to go for commercial casting because she wasunable to sign with an agency yet.

In regards to Kate wanting to increase the price all of a sudden, itwasn't the money he cared about, but rather his refusal to accept howKate was handling the matter.

When she picked up Tobias’ call, Skylar was still in the middle of thecommercial shoot. She had eaten a kilogram of chocolate beans andher voice was almost gone.

It was definite that she had regained that one kilogram she had lostduring her diet.

Tobias had told her that he would go replace her that night. Skylar found aquiet spot and she leaned her body against the wall. “It's inconvenientfor me today as I'm having my period.”

“I don't meet you just to sleep with you.”
