Skylar pretended to sound clueless while she uttered, “Are you sure it'snot?"

Every time Tobias came over, he would want to rip off her clothessavagely.

Tobias replied in a deep voice, “You've guessed it right. We can still dothat even if you're having your period. There's still your mouth.”

Skylar blushed instantaneously. She had brought it upon herself forstarting a topic as such with Tobias.

“Skylar, quick. Why are you chatting on the phone for so long?” one ofthe staff said impatiently after searching for her everywhere.

Such a horrible attitude! Skylar hung up the phone immediately.

After she had returned to the shooting location, she slipped her cellphone into her pocket and the makeup artist hurried over for sometouch ups.

“There are really MM Beans!” Skylar uttered her line for the seventy-third time.

Luckily for her, she appeared beautiful on camera and her expressionwas young and lively. It almost seemed like a movie.

For a three thousand commercial to cast a face that looked like a moviestar, it was worth every penny and even the director praised hercapabilities.

Upon receiving her salary, Skylar looked at the three thousand thatpopped up on her card balance. That was her first step towards beingfinancially independent.

Before heading home, Skylar saw that there were a few missed callsfrom unknown numbers. She ignored them because that type of callswould usually be from property agents.

Just when she was about to put her cell phone inside her bag, thephone rang again.

Before Skylar was able to utter a word, a rude-sounding woman spoke.“Are you Penelope's friend? She had severely breached her contract fora long time and that has constituted in a financial crime. We can't get intouch with her. Tell her to pay off her debts by three o’ clock today,otherwise we will sue her.”

Skylar was utterly confused. She had gave Penelope the money, so whywasn't it enough?

“I'll try contacting her.”

"Please do it as soon as possible. It's only fair for her to pay off herdebts. I'll give you one hour to try and contact her.”

That woman sounded fierce and rude.

Skylar was infuriated. “Why are you so fierce towards me? Am I the oneowing you? Are you crazy?”

She hung up the phone right after and called Penelope. She was unableto reach her and her voicemail box was already full.

Upon returning home, Skylar was still trying to get in touch withPenelope. Her line was either busy or shut off.

While she was bending down to change into her slippers, the lights inthe living room were suddenly turned on. The brightness of the lightwas utterly glaring.

Skylar saw Tobias sitting on the sofa, lying down comfortably whilestaring at her.

“I thought you would come over later at night.” Skylar walked towardsTobias and hugged him from behind. Her long and luscious soft hairdraped across his shoulder and that tickled him.

“I think I've been poisoned. I've missed you even though I hadn't seenyou for a day.” Tobias rubbed the spot where Skylar's hair had tickledhim.

Fortunately, Skylar was able to withstand it while he expressed himselflovingly in a serious manner.

He sounded as if he was lecturing her even though he was trying to beloving.

“Aren't I here right now? How was your mother’s surgery? I didn't askyou over the phone because I was worried that she might hear myvoice from the call. Hence, I hung up.”

He smiled. “Why would I need to be disciplined by her when I'm not ateenager anymore?”

Tobias took out a lemon flavored lollipop from his coat and gave it toher.

Skylar grabbed it in her hand. “I've eaten too much chocolate from thecommercial shooting. My blood sugar reading would definitely be skyhigh if I eat this. It's better for me not to eat it.”

Tobias snickered. “I didn't ask you to eat it. Since you told me you'rehaving your period, why not lick a lollipop while I observe you? I'llguide you along the way.”

While staring at Tobias, Skylar playfully ripped open the lollipop, put itin her mouth and crunched it with her teeth several times. She washinting to Tobias that would happen to him if he had continued.Tobias pulled out another orange flavored lollipop. “It's alright, I havemore.”
