Tobias leaned forward to sniff at Skylar's shoulder. “I can still smellanother man’s scent on you. Take a bath and wash it off. It's making meuncomfortable.”

“That's my job. It's not like I went out and messed around with othermen,” she emphasized.

Still, Tobias wasn't pleased. His gaze darkened as he said, “That's themost I can tolerate. You're not allowed to act in any kissing scene. Don'tyou kiss me if you have kissed someone else.”

Glancing at Tobias’ awkward expression, Skylar giggled. “You're muchworse than me. I don't know how many women you've kissed in thepast. Make sure that you're faithful yourself before asking me to do thesame.”

Tobias couldnt replace the words to refute her. She's right, but now I'mnot the same womanizer whom I used to be.

Afterward, the man went to his study. Skylar was having the time of themonth, so he could do nothing other than leering at her.

Skylar pushed the door of the study open. The woman had taken a bathand changed into her white silk sling nightdress, revealing her fair andslender legs. Her hair was still damp, and her cheeks were rosy. Despitehaving no makeup on, her alabaster skin still appeared translucent fromwithin.

She walked in with a plate of sliced orange and put it on his desk.Tobias took off his glasses, which he put on only when he was working,and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Wow, that's very kind of you tobring me fruits. Are you trying to make amends to me?”

Up till now, Skylar never felt that she had done anything wrong. Thisman is unbelievably petty. I was only doing my job. Besides, it wasnothing more than just hugging. It's understandable that he getsworked up if I have done the scene naked. Even so, I'm only doing it forthe sake of art.

She fed a piece of orange to Tobias. “The oranges in the fridge areabout to dry up soon. It'll be such a waste to throw them away.”Though the orange wasn't as juicy as usual, the man did not mind at all.“Is Eva your cousin?” Tobias thought of this all of a sudden. What asmall world.

Skylar raised a brow at him. “Yeah. Didn“t you know that? Your prettyassistant is my cousin.”

She already knew it. Tobias gestured for Skylar to sit on his lap, and thelatter hooked her arms around his neck. Looking up, she touched hischin with her forehead.

“Are you both not on good terms?”

Skylar chuckled. “How do you know that? We're not that close. Eva hasalways been the pride of the family because of her beauty and goodacademic results. Her boyfriend's family is well-off, and she’s going tomarry him soon. All our relatives are fond of her as well.”

That was all she said about Eva.

Tobias sneered, “How well-off is her boyfriend's family is? Is thereanyone wealthier than your man?”

Skylar was tongue-tied. As a matter of fact, Tobias isn't beingoverconfident to say that. Undeniably, he's influential and filthy rich. If Iever break up with him, I'll never be able to replace another man who isbetter than him. Besides, it's unlikely that anyone can surpass him.Tobias recalled the way Eva talked about Skylar with a disdainful look.Judging from Eva's words, she obviously despises Skylar. Perhaps it's anorm that the average people are to complement the outstandingones, and Skylar is definitely the former.

“How do you know she’s my cousin? Did she tell you that?” Skylarasked.
