When Skylar heard Madelyn’s preposterous excuse after being caughtusing her skincare products, she couldn“t help but burst into laughterbefore giving the leftover cream to Madelyn. After all, she didn't likesharing something so personal.

Skylar wasn't sincere in her admission at all. She gave Tobias a cursoryresponse and didn't intend to dwell on the details.

The next moment, Tobias stood up and headed upstairs, as if there wasnothing to explain. As the dim light shone on his back, it made himlook exceptionally cold.

Skylar tsked in frustration. She had wanted to discuss the matter calmlywith Tobias but instead, he walked away in the middle of their talk.With such an attitude, he would never have been able to get a girlfriendif he were any poorer or uglier.

Closing her eyes, she leaned against the sofa. She was totallyexhausted. She didn’t want to go to bed early, as she would just bewalking into the lion's den, allowing Tobias to have his way with her.After all, men could always separate sex from emotions. No matter howangry Tobias was, he would still remove her clothes to satisfy his desire.After that, he would continue giving her the cold shoulder as if nothinghad happened
