She didn't believe Tobias’ words.

Would you believe me if I said I'll marry you?”Skylar could feel how different a mature man was from a young boy.Tobias was calm, wise, and strong.

When she was in a relationship with Jeremy, she had forgotten howmany times he said he wanted to marry her.

In the end, it was all just empty talk.

Tobias’ gentle kiss caused Skylar to have butterflies in her stomach. Shequickly averted her eyes from his predatory gaze. “Both of us are not atthat stage yet. You'll take the bed while I sleep on the sofa.”

Tobias coolly recovered his gaze. Every time he made love with Skylar, itfelt just like she was forced to do it. Never once did she respondwillingly.

Standing up, he left the room with his hand in his pocket.

When she heard the door close, Skylar felt as if all the tension in herbody was finally released.

After Tobias left, she got up from the sofa and lay on the soft fluffy bed.She felt as if she was being cuddled in a cloud. The luxurious bed in thepresidential suite was a lot more comfortable than her dorm bunk.Lying on the bed, she could still smell Tobias’ scent— the faintfragrance of white sandalwood.

By the bed, there was a blue document folder. When Skylar flippedthrough it, she realized she had no idea what was written as they werefilled with complicated business terms.

Sniggering at herself, she realized Avery was right. How could someonelike her deserve to be with Tobias? Eventually, she would have to begrounded in reality.

While she was sleeping, Skylar felt as if she had difficulty breathing.When she opened her eyes, she caught the intense smell of whitesandalwood. A dark figure was pressing himself on top of her.

Why is Tobias suddenly back? Didn't he leave earlier?

Cupping her face in his hands, he kissed her passionately without givingher space to breathe.

No matter how she struggled, Tobias didn't let go

Only after her top was removed and her chest was exposed to the coldair did her senses match her actions. The next moment, she bit downon Tobias’ tongue and felt his weight shift away from her body.

He recoiled in pain and turned on the bedside lamp.

Just like a spring, Skylar bounced up to a seated position but hershoulder hit him in the jaw coincidentally. However, she quicklygrabbed her bra and covered her breasts with it.

Skylar could see his eyes were red as he glared at her. But, she wasn'tsure if it was from pain or anger.

Tobias closed his eyes and braced himself for a whole three minutesbefore the pain on his tongue subsided.

During that short moment, Skylar knew that it was best for her to keepher mouth shut.

“When will you start acquiescing and reciprocate my advances? Or doyou need to replace another sick boyfriend so that I can procure yourservices again?” Tobias was exasperated while the redness in his eyeshadn't fully subsided.

Tobias struck a nerve when he mentioned the humiliating incident. Sheglared at him, “Can you not bring up that stupid matter ever again?”Just as she spoke, Tobias caught her by the neck and planted his lips onhers.

It was a shallow kiss as his lips were hurt from just now. When shetasted blood in her mouth, Skylar realized that she had bitten him toohard.

Skylar had failed to escape from Tobias’ clutches again.

She was now trapped.
