Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 642 Another Misunderstanding (Part One)
After excluding all external factors, I came to realize that the only obstacle to our relationship was our infirm hearts...

"Mrs. Molly Long," Lisa greeted a pale-faced Molly, who was coming down the stairs. Lisa had just finished preparing the food for dinner and was walking out of the kitchen. Her voice full of concern, she asked Molly politely, "Are you all right?"
Forcing a smile that still came out sad, Molly stared at Lisa before replying. "I want to go for a walk. Don't cook dinner for me," she instructed.
Startled, Lisa quickly asked, "But where are you going? How about letting John give you a ride?"
Shaking her head, Molly dismissed the concerned look on Lisa's face as she answered, "No, thanks. I only want to be alone for a while, and a walk is what I need."
Before Lisa could argue, Molly left the villa. Watching the young woman's departing figure, Lisa could not help but sigh deeply. When Molly was out of sight, she went back to finish her tasks. Having no idea what had happened in the villa that morning, Lisa shrugged her shoulders wondering what had prompted Molly's decision to leave.
Making her way down the mountain, Molly slightly lowered her head to look at her toes and watch her steps while descending.
Surprisingly, nobody stopped her from doing what she wanted today. Brian had not returned since leaving early in the morning. Perhaps, the whole world changed when she had come face-to-face with Lucy.
A mocking smile lifted at the corner of her lips, yet Molly couldn't figure out what she was feeling. She had thought she was already quite desperate, so it surprised her that Lucy's appearance and what she had said made her feel even more despondent.
Suddenly, she stopped to look around. Molly had reached the foot of the mountain without knowing it. The bus stop where she took the bus to work every day was nearby.
She trudged towards the bus stop and slowly sat down on the bench for waiting passengers. Her dull appearance made Molly seem like an empty shell with her soul stripped away.
A black Benz turned at the corner just as the bus stopped to pick up passengers. Molly had gotten on the bus when the car reached the bus stop. Inside, Brian curiously scanned the few people still boarding the bus one-by-one.
Choosing a window seat, Molly had settled before Brian could see her. She turned to look out of the window when she caught sight of the moving Benz from her peripheral vision. The bus door closed and started to move in the opposite direction of the Benz. So, Molly and Brian missed each other.
There was a dull look in Molly's eyes as she stared out of the bus window. She had leaned her head and inhaled deeply. The scene from this morning kept playing back in her mind.
"Lucy, do you honestly believe Brian will fall in love with you if you kill me?" she remembered asking. She had barely escaped the needle Lucy tried to plunge in her arm, and was desperately thinking of a way to flee.
Her eyebrows slightly raised and a sinister smile on her lips, Lucy emphasized, "I don't care if he doesn't fall in love with me. What's important is the position of his wife does not belong to a woman as disgusting as you." As she spoke, Lucy advanced menacingly her hand gripping the plastic syringe ready to plunge it into any part of Molly's body. "Molly Xia, you're nothing but a bitch, whose duty is to warm Mr. Brian Long's bed. Surely you know that you're occupying the position that is meant for Becky!" she snarled. Gritting her teeth and sneering at Molly, Lucy said, "Brian Long loves no one but her!"
Seeing Molly's frozen expression, Lucy couldn't help herself from laughing secretly. With a smirk, she taunted, "Molly Xia, the only reason you were able to marry Brian Long is because of Addison's existence. If you didn't have a child, tell me, why would Brian marry the daughter of a gambler, huh?" "No!" Molly screamed in denial while backing away.
Denying Lucy's cruel words came instinctively for Molly. She suddenly stopped in her tracks and gritted her teeth to set Lucy straight. With eyes opened wide, Molly ground out the words, "Brian proposed to me. He even gave me a unique ring, and took me to see Watasenia scintillans! He loves me!" She nearly shouted.
As she defended herself before Lucy, Molly had almost forgotten how desperately she was begging Brian not to take her son away then. In the end, she had no choice but to agree to marry him. On a subconscious level, Molly wanted to remember how well the man had treated her while they were in QY Island.
But Lucy scoffed at her. Taking a step forward, so she was nearly face-to-face with Molly, she laughed grimly, "Does Mr. Brian Long indeed treat you as well as you imagine? Because if that were the case, why do you have to point that out now?" Staring at Molly being pathetic, Lucy mocked, "You know in your heart, Molly Xia, that the only reason Brian Long treats you well is that you're of some use to him. You do know that, right?"
Furious now, Molly roared, "No, you're wrong!' She kept a tight rein on her temper because she was still in danger.
"You don't appear confident right this moment," Lucy sneered. Syringe in hand, Lucy was still waiting for the perfect timing to stick it into any part of Molly. But she continued, "Do you know where Brian went to early this morning?" She paused to wait for a reaction, but when none came, Lucy with cold eyes, said, "Becky is in the hospital. Mr. Brian Long went to see her as soon as he learned this over the phone. Molly Xia, you will never be a priority for Mr. Long." She said this with full conviction.
Molly was struck dumb by her words, and her eyes glazed over. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity, Lucy raised the syringe and quickly plunged this into Molly's shoulder.
Feeling a stinging pain, Molly started to complain, "Ahhh!"
But her voice came out feeble as darkness came over her eyes and she felt weak and limp all of a sudden as the needle quickly penetrated her skin.
A smile of doom lifted at the corners of Lucy's mouth. She was positioning her hand properly to depress the syringe slowly to inject the liquid into Molly's body. But even before she could do this, the door burst open. A muffled shooting sound immediately followed and saw Lucy falling to the ground. Motionless, Lucy had been shot with a tranquilizer by a man, who inspected the woman before proceeding to check on Molly. He skillfully pulled out the needle and peered carefully to see if the liquid content was still inside the syringe and not reached the tip of the needle. Seeing this was the case, he let out a sigh of relief. Carefully, he lifted Molly and brought her back to the bedroom and covered her with a quilt. Then he went back downstairs and carried off Lucy, without anyone noticing them leaving the villa.

Disoriented, Molly closed her eyes, not noticing her cellphone screen flickering. It was set on mute.
When she regained consciousness, Molly had no idea why she was back in the bed, and neither was she in the mood to recall what happened. The moment she woke up, and even while asleep, there was only one thing running in her mind. Everything Brian had done for her was for the sake of Mark, her son, but now, the man had rushed to the hospital to be with Becky.000000
