Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 867 Mol's Sweet Marriage Life (Part One)

The sweets shop was a place of pleasant indulgence. The heady aromas of sweet milk tea and mellow red tea wafted about the cheery space. Outside the temperature was high, but inside customers enjoyed the perfect surroundings, lingering to ogle the delicious treats and delectable drinks being served. Molly basked in the bright sunshine that entered though the tinted windows. She stared contentedly at the multi-colored reflections that made a kaleidoscope on the tiled floor.

Sitting at a table near the tall window, she gently laid a hand on her swollen belly. Tenderly she stroked the burgeoning life that blossomed within her. In her other hand she held a cup of sweet milk tea. The taste was sweet, but not greasy. It was so nice that her tongue could not help but dance across her lips to lap up every last drop.

While she was enjoying her delicious milk tea, the door opened, disturbing the wind-bell fastened there. The clear ringing drew her from her reverie.

At hearing the musical tinkle, Molly raised her head and looked around at the door.

A tall man stood silhouetted against the bright light streaming in from outside. He glanced around the room with a pair of deep-set eyes which featured prominently in his attractive face. Soon the indifference in his eyes vanished, and a gentle smile played on his face as he saw her familiar figure near the window.

The man had such presence that he towered over everyone both physically and mentally. Wherever he went, he arrested the gazes of all the people around. Men or women, old or young, all were captivated by his appearance.

But Brian Long only had eyes for Molly. He smiled and walked over to her with a deliberate gracefulness. With studied ease, he took a seat opposite her.

"How did you know I was here?" Molly asked. A smile blossomed on her petite face, like a lily opening after a rainstorm.

He gazed at her and answered in a calm tone, "You told me yesterday that the milk tea of this shop was delicious, remember?" The seductive quality of his voice was like a caress as he spoke, "I finished my work just now. When I got home I was told that you were out. So I thought you must be here."

Hearing Brian's words, Molly felt thrilled and her smile grew even bigger. 'When a man loves you deeply, he will pay attention to each sentence you've spoken. Even if it is not important, he will listen to you carefully. With such a man as her husband to be, a woman should be happy. And now I am such a woman. I'm leading a happy life because of Brian, ' Molly thought happily.

"Are the problems of the National Congress all solved?" she asked wanting to reciprocate by showing interest in his work.

Brian nodded, and then explained to her, "The problem slipped in when Eric was away, visiting other countries. I had to go and handle it."

"But you are actually not a member of the National Congress. If you go, won't it cause trouble for Eric?" Molly worried a little over his involvement. She knew matters were tough. Both Uncle Frank and Eric Long were away, and only Brian could attend to the crisis. But the other members of National Congress might not see it that way.

Brian then realized something. He took out the black card from his pocket and set it on the table. Gravely he explained, "I didn't handle it on my behalf, but on Mark's. He is the candidate for ruler of Dragon Island."

Molly stared at the card, and suddenly laughed. She raised her beautiful eyes at Brian, and teased him, "Who knows a big man like you, the boss of Grand Night Casino and Emp stock exchange, the controller of XK, will ever face such a situation? You actually depended your son's status, didn't you?"

While Molly could not help laughing, Brian tried to remain stern, but soon began to laugh also as he looked at her mirth filled face. Then he said, "Mark will enter the second-stage training in three days." Hearing that Molly turned serious all of a sudden. Brian held her hand and continued, "Vincent will stay at XK. He's helping me to deal with some work. So will you go to A City with me?"

"Won't you go back to XK?" Molly asked and she understood Brian's reasoning. In A City, he could work and it was also convenient for her to see Mark. But she didn't want to become his burden.

Brian shook his head negatively. "I can handle the rest of my work over the phone and the Internet from A City." Rubbing her hand with his slender fingers, Brian raised her chin and stared into her eyes as he spoke seriously, "Just as you don't want to be my burden, I don't want to be the reason you felt sad. Molly, do you understand that?"

Her hand became very comfortable under Brian's ministrations, and Molly sensed the life within her respond with a throbbing warmth. The smile on her face flowered into a large blooming rose. Molly nodded her head at Brian, while again laying her hand over her belly, caressing the swelling curve gently. Gazing fondly at him, she mentally spoke to her unborn child, 'Baby, Mommy is loved so much by your Daddy. Can you feel it? Mommy is so happy... Do you feel how happy and moved your Mommy is?'

The small sweets room, with its soft music, now radiated with their love. Brian was oblivious to the many people staring at him. He just sat there, looking at Molly, unmindful of the others who were looking at him. It was as if he could not see anyone else as long as Molly was there.

"Oh, my! If I were loved by such a cute guy and if he was so nice to me, I would be willing to die!!" a girl at the back of the room said tearfully. She was pursing her lips and looking at Molly enviously.

"So die then," Sara, another girl sitting with her replied while holding a glass of milk tea. "Maybe you will have such good luck to meet a guy as nice as him on the other side."

The first girl gave Sara a sour look, "I was saying I could die if I had such a nice guy... Look at him-he's really too handsome!"

Sara turned her head slightly and then turned back after giving Brian only one glance. "I'm afraid it won't be enough for you to simply die once only, if you really had such a handsome boyfriend. Hurry and finish your milk tea now. We still have to go cover the news!" "You see? All you notice is your work. Is there anything else that can draw your attention?" the other girl retorted while she picked up her cup and continued sipping the milk tea with great enjoyment.

Sara withered her with a disapproving look. Then she glimpsed in Brian and Molly's direction again. She didn't know the stories about Molly and Brian, but she was aware that it was not easy to obtain the love of a Long family member. However, Brian Long was so gentle and caressing with Molly, that they must have had a long history and numerous ups and downs. Facing such a situation, the woman with him must have had many unusual experiences and suffered a lot to win his heart. And not everyone could make it!

After they finished their milk tea, Brian and Molly left the sweets shop. They didn't drive home, but leisurely walked together hand in hand under the lane of shadowy trees. It was summer, and the air on Dragon Island was wet and hot. Despite this, Brian insisted on walking with Molly every day. 0000000
