Love beyond the mask ( Whitney ) -
Chapter 467
"It's no big deal. Did Florence mention to you? She wants to compete for the sales plan I assigned to you this time. It's her first time stepping up like this in the company, asking for shares as a reward. I think it's a good idea.
First, it motivates her, and second, I'm confident you'll win without a problem. Winning the shares isn't the point; it gives me a perfect reason to promote you to a key position at the headquarters."
In Hudson's view, the idea of Florence taking over the company was far-fetched, but it was good she had ambition. When thinking about the future of the company, Hudson's preference was to support Whitney.
Whitney couldn't help but smirk internally. Florence was just exploiting their father's equal love for them. But deep down, in their father's heart, Florence was still seen as the dutiful daughter. However, Whitney was determined to tear off this facade eventually. Complying, Whitney nodded, "Alright, let the competition begin. I won't disappoint you, Dad."
"That's my girl. I'll leave the arrangements to the General Manager of S-T Group. Take the kids and head home," Hudson said, before walking into the house to replace Heidi and Camilla had already left. He then turned his strict gaze towards Holly. "What are you looking at me for, honey?" Holly feigned innocence.
Hudson hadn't forgotten Whitney's words by the pond. He wasn't fooled. He coldly warned again, "The Lipperts are not to be trifled with. If you're plotting something, don't mess with the Lippert's eldest branch. Jarvis and Heidi could ruin you with a snap of their fingers! Even picking on a child, I don't know what to say to you!
If you mistreat Danny next time he visits the Sheldons, then you can no longer call yourself Mrs. Sheldon!"
Holly was stunned. Sienna had mentioned divorce before, but Hudson had never threatened her so directly.
"I haven't done anything wrong! Just because Whitney slanders me, you want a divorce?!
Ever since she returned, you've been distant, planning to leave everything to your daughter with Parisa?
You're heartless, Hudson! After over twenty years..."
Hudson, known for his integrity, was exasperated. "Nonsense! When did I say I'd give everything to Whitney? You're always stirring up trouble. How could Florence have a mother like you?" Disgusted, he stormed upstairs.
Holly's face twisted in rage. As long as Whitney was around, peace would never return to their home, and everything would eventually be handed to her on a silver platter. Clenching her fists, she got up and immediately grabbed her phone.

Outside the Sheldon Mansion.
Camilla watched Whitney carrying her child, standing beside Ludwik, a tall and dashing figure. Together, they looked like the perfect couple, the epitome of beauty and grace.
The old lady glanced at Danny, noticing the distinctive mark on his forehead that matched Whitney's. It seemed Danny's mother...
Camilla squinted slightly, telling her grandson, "Ludwik, take Danny to the doctor right away. It was my oversight today; I had affairs to attend to at the Lipperts and didn't expect the servants to neglect Danny."
"Great-grandma, it's not the servants' fault." Danny, aiming to gather intel on the Sheldons, had purposefully ditched the servants assigned by his great-grandma.
Feeling guilty for troubling the elder, he apologized, "Great-grandma, I'm sorry."
"My dear, the one who should be sorry is me. Apologize to your mother on my behalf, will you?"
The old lady hinted meaningfully.
Whitney, feeling guilty, blushed and remained silent, shrinking back.
"I'm tired myself; I'll head back," the old lady said as she got into the car.
Ludwik came over to see her off, "Grandma, please rest well when you get back."
Seizing the moment, Camilla whispered, "The child's mother is this young lady, isn't she? Ludwik, we need to have a serious talk next time." Ludwik knew she was referring to why he was with Florence. He murmured a response and watched the car drive away.
Returning to Whitney, he found her demeanor had turned icy. "Mr. Lippert, your presence is no longer required. I can take care of my son." "Turning your back on me already?" Ludwik frowned, his gaze lingering on her soft cheeks. "He's my son too. I'm taking him to the doctor." Whitney wanted to retort, recalling how he had abandoned their son to be with his lover just nights before.
Danny, standing nearby, decided for them, "Enough. Ludwik, get in. If Mom can handle it alone when I almost drowned, you should be there too." Both adults fell silent at the child's decisive words.
Ludwig assertively moved to the driver's seat, instructing Whitney, "Hold him tight."
Whitney, annoyed, turned away, refusing to speak.

At the Lippert Resort.
Heidi brought her daughter back and summoned several doctors, creating a tense atmosphere in the large estate.
Thea rushed back, concerned, "What happened to Molly?"
Heidi glared at her mother, "It's Ludwik's fault again, isn't it? Why are you just getting back? You're always busy with West Town. Other grandmothers take care of their granddaughters, but what about you? To outsiders, it seems like West Town, your godson, is your real grandson, not my daughter!"
Thea paused, her expression revealing a mix of emotions. She lightly scolded Heidi, "What nonsense! You know what West Town is doing for us. Do you really want to see the Lippert Group fall into Ludwik's hands?" Thea glanced at Molly, noting the girl's spoiled nature, much like her mother's, lacking in wisdom.
Thea couldn't hold back her frustration and blurted out, "Keep an eye on your daughter, will you? Now's not the time for her to pick fights with Ludwik's boy!
Weston's gearing up for a major showdown with Ludwik at work. We don't need these petty squabbles!"
"I get it, Weston's got big plans, but does that mean we just roll over?
Today, Molly got pushed around by Daniel, and word's gonna spread through the Lipperts from top to bottom. Where does that leave me?
Everyone's gonna think I'm scared of Ludwik, especially with snakes like Mrs. Sheldon out there, ready to use my Molly for their gain!
And then there's Whitney, strutting around like she owns the place, all because she's got Ludwik's backing?
I say we let slip about Ludwik and Whitney's affair. Let everyone know Ludwik's playing the field. That'll tarnish his reputation good!"
But Thea was suddenly focused on something else.
"Wait, you're saying Whitney and Ludwik are back together?"
Heidi snorted disdainfully, "All I know is they left the Sheldons' place together. Ludwik's supposed to be with Florence, but it looks like he's not done with Whitney either!" Thea's grip tightened with anger.
At first, she thought that with Whitney and Ludwik split up, Whitney wouldn't spill any secrets to Ludwik.
But now, seeing how they were still entangled, Weston's secrets would eventually become weapons for Ludwik.
And that could spell disaster for her and Weston, especially with Jason in the picture.
A cold glint flashed across Thea's eyes.
It seemed Whitney couldn't be left to roam free. It was time to take action against her!
