Love Comes To Me
Chapter 221: You have to be responsible for me

That night, the two had a date at a night bar where no one usually goes.

On the bar, Reeva Lawson, with a scowl on her face, said angrily, "That Denton Bride is such a loser, he can't even handle the smallest thing! And now, instead of blowing the whistle, he's blown his own cover!" Speaking of which, she asked Felix Crammer rather reproachfully, "I thought you said this was foolproof?"

Felix Crammer took a slow sip of his wine and said unhurriedly, "I'm not guaranteeing anything. After all, this Denton Bride came out of nowhere, and there are so many loopholes that even if we were to make excuses, we wouldn't be able to come back. After all, the Lawson family and the Gardner family have wiped out all the evidence and no one knows who Eloise Thompson had the baby with in the first place. We'll get Denton Bride to pretend, and we have no choice." Reeva Lawson almost laughed when she heard that, "Compelled? Why didn't you say that in the first place? Now that the plan has failed, did you do it on purpose?"

Reeva Lawson felt a lot of anger at the thought of not being able to take down Eloise Thompson when she had such a great opportunity.

So Felix Crammer had to be used as a punching bag.

Felix Crammer, as if expecting this, took her anger in stride, while gently reassuring her, "Don't worry, it's not like we don't have a chance. Although the fact that Eloise Thompson has had a baby is not revealed at this point, Hector Rogers is no fool, and the fact that Denton Bride appears inexplicably before Eloise Thompson with a baby, and that Eloise Thompson not only doesn't refuse but even panics, is no surprise to Hector Rogers. Rogers' wisdom, how could he not have sensed the foul play? He would have checked it out sooner or later."

"So, the next thing you do is wait and see what happens, and you don't have to do anything."

After hearing Felix Crammer's analysis, Reeva Lawson instantly reacted as well.

Indeed, Hector Rogers is no fool, and neither is Rupert Rogers, who likes to get into trouble next to him.

How could they allow someone, who had given birth to someone else's child, into the Rogers family?

Reeva Lawson relaxed at the thought of it.

Felix Crammer saw her soothed face, and with a glint of lust in his eyes, he asked the bartender to make two more drinks and pushed them in front of her, proposing, "How about you finish up and go down for a binge? It's time you relaxed and didn't let the whole Hector Rogers thing get to you."

Reeva Lawson was in a good mood and came along for the ride.

She tilted her head back and downed the wine, a few glasses down and already slightly drunk before her eyes.

At this point in time, and when the bar is at its busiest, Felix Crammer guffaws, takes her hand and heads onto the dance floor.

The drumming and wild heavy metal music blasts through the air, exciting the mood.

Reeva Lawson and Felix Crammer danced close to each other, twisting and turning their bodies, occasionally at an ambiguous angle, rubbing against each other.

The night is endlessly long...

...

At this time, inside the flat where Eloise Thompson lives.

In the dimly lit room, not a single light was on, only the twenty-inch LCD screen, which was playing a Korean zombie blockbuster.

The lurid screams that occasionally come from inside sound a little ominous at night.

Eloise Thompson is nestled on the sofa, but unaware of it, her gaze straight ahead and a little lax.

It wasn't until a doorbell rang that her thoughts were pulled back.

Her brain was a little tense and she subconsciously felt that it was Denton Bride again.

She tried to pretend she wasn't there and deliberately changed the TV to mute.

But the doorbell rang over and over again, as if tirelessly.

Eloise Thompson, a little impatient, got up and went to the door, "Are you finished ..."

Just as the words were spoken, the whole group froze.

Outside the door, the man wore a black shirt that almost blended into the darkness of the corridor, a long, long body that stood out in front of her, a slightly cold face on which not much expression could be seen, but eyes that were as dark as night, but with a familiar warmth to them.

"What are you... doing here?"

Eloise Thompson inquired nervously, with a tone of unspoken stiffness.

Hector Rogers seemed to expect this reaction and instead of getting angry, he said softly, "I came to see you. Can I come in? I need to talk to you."

Eloise Thompson hesitates for a moment and nods her head.

She stepped aside to allow him to stride in.

The house was dark and the television screen, still fixed on the zombie killings.

Hector Rogers was amazed, "Are you that bold?"

Eloise Thompson was half a beat slower to react before she jerked backwards in shock.

When I was dazed just now, I could feel nothing.

She turned on the light in a hurry.

The translucency of a room reflects her slightly distressed face, with dark circles and bloodshot eyes.

It was clear that she hadn't slept well for days.

Hector Rogers, with a glint of pain in his eyes, reached out to caress her eyes and said lightly, "It's okay." Eloise Thompson felt the warmth coming from his fingertips so clearly that her whole body was dazed. "What is okay?"

Hector Rogers said, "Denton Bride! He's got nothing to do with you! He has a wife, who he went to college with and divorced years ago long ago, and he has children from his ex-wife."

"What!" Eloise Thompson was beyond surprised to hear this at first.

Hector Rogers continued, "Denton Bride was paid by someone else to sabotage your relationship and mine, so ... you mustn't be burdened with anything, okay? Continue to be a good boy and stay by my side, okay?" Eloise Thompson was speechless for a few moments.

So... is actually just a farce?

What is this?

She was on tenterhooks, even so cruel to hurt this man, and in the end she was played?

She couldn't help but get a little angry and emotional, "Who was it? Who bribed him and why is he targeting me like this?"

Hector Rogers, however, took her face in his and said warmly, "Eloise, it doesn't matter who it is. What matters is that you should come back to me. I don't like it when people do things halfway, especially relationship stuff! You have to be responsible for me."

All of Eloise Thompson's words were caught in her throat and his final words kept echoing in her ears, "You're responsible for me!

Can she?

What would she be responsible for?

Shouldn't he already know that he had a child with another man? Why is he still holding on to her?

She pushed him away and said, "Hector Rogers, you don't have to do this at all. I can't be responsible for you! You're not stupid, you should be able to see that I have a bad past, I... have wronged so many people already, I can't ... I can't ..." She seemed to have a lot to say, and it was as if she wanted to go out on a limb and say it all.

But at that moment, Hector Rogers suddenly stepped forward, pulled her into his arms, and sealed her lips with a fierce kiss, muffling all her remaining words.

Eloise Thompson was too wide-eyed to react for a moment.

Only the blazing touch on her lips was clearly transmitted to all her senses...
