Love Comes To Me
Chapter 224: Stay if you don't want to leave

"That's good that you like it, I was worried that you'd replace it too quiet."

Hector Rogers said with a light smile.

Eloise Thompson was quick to speak up, "Why not? I'm not a big fan of the hustle and bustle, and this place, which is so much nicer than where I used to live, I really like it."

Not to mention the fact that he picked it out himself.

Eloise Thompson is one hundred percent satisfied! But the rent is.

She was in a bit of a quandary; it was a nice place, a bachelor pad would definitely be more expensive than the place she used to live in, and she didn't know how much with her current income.

In the middle of his thoughts, he heard Solomon chanting next to him, "Daddy, this room, did you make it for yourself?"

The heat that hadn't subsided on Eloise Thompson's face just then came back up.

Hector Rogers' intentions are so obvious that anyone who is not a fool knows what he is up to.

Hector Rogers didn't hide and looked at Eloise Thompson with a smile in his eyes and said, "Sleeping on the couch is really quite uncomfortable, I have to think about my health."

Eloise Thompson gave him a scornful glare, "You're the only one with more sophomoric reasoning."

As Hector Rogers had got someone to move the house, things were boxed up and Eloise Thompson started packing up, with a small and large group next to her helping out.

After an afternoon of tossing and turning, it was time for the evening.

Eloise Thompson was afraid that Solomon would get hungry and was going to go grocery shopping for dinner when, unexpectedly, Solomon came running out of the kitchen with several snacks in hand, "Auntie Eloise, can I have these?" Eloise Thompson looked in surprise to see the little one holding juice, coconut milk and chocolate ...

"What's with all the stuff?"

Hector Rogers said, "I had a number of things prepared, including ingredients."

Eloise Thompson rushed over to open the fridge and found it stuffed with fresh ingredients, seafood, vegetables and meat.

Eloise Thompson looked on, inexplicably dazed.

How does this feeling... seem to have the look and feel of a newlywed couple moving house?!

She shook the thought out of her head and smiled, "I'll make you guys something nice tonight."

Solomon immediately cheered, "My favourite thing to eat is Auntie Eloise's cooking."

Hector Rogers said, "Do you need help?"

Eloise Thompson shook her head and pushed the people out, "No, you just go out and sit and wait."

Then it was time to get busy.

An hour later, Eloise Thompson served the last course.

Just then the doorbell rang and Eloise Thompson was wondering who had just moved in when Solomon rushed over and opened the door. The man standing outside the door was none other than Rupert Rogers, holding flowers and fruit in his hands, along with a pile of gifts. Solomon was a little taken aback, "Younger Uncle? What brings you here?"

"Of course I'm here to give a gift! Yeah? What smells so good? Are you Auntie Eloise cooking? Looks like I'm just in time!"

Rupert Rogers was in high spirits and put a stream of stuff on the table.

Hector Rogers had just finished his phone call and came in from the balcony when he heard this and said, "Eat and get out immediately!" Rupert Rogers said, "Don't worry, I'll never bother you!"

When Eloise Thompson saw Rupert Rogers coming, she was very self-conscious and brought the dishes, looking like a good wife and mother.

Rupert Rogers sat at the table and couldn't wait to squeeze a piece of rib in his hand and drop it into his mouth before exclaiming, "I didn't think my sister-in-law had it in her!"

Eloise Thompson couldn't help but blush slightly at the name calling, "What's all that nonsense?"

"Wrong shout?" Rupert Rogers asked suspiciously.

Hector Rogers had a bemused look on his face, "No."

Solomon nodded along, "Yeah, no!"

Eloise Thompson crowed, urging the trio, "Hurry up and eat, you guys."

Rupert Rogers was probably really hungry, and while stuffing his mouth, he said, "Sister-in-law, this cooking of yours is comparable to that of a hotel chef ... No, it's even better than those chefs, so can I come over for a meal in the future? Don't worry, I'll pay for my meals every month!"

Before Eloise Thompson could say anything, Hector Rogers said, "You don't have to pay for the meals, you cook twice a month and use it to cover the rent!"

"Huh? That's... bad, right?" Eloise Thompson was a little hesitant.

Rupert Rogers knows how to read the eyes and immediately agreed, "I think it's very good, look at the food out there now, how unhygienic it is, it's better to eat with your sister-in-law's cooking!" Solomon, don't you think so?" Solomon immediately nodded his head and said, "That's right, Auntie Eloise makes the best food and Solomon loves it!"

Eloise Thompson saw several people say this and couldn't help but agree down.

And she knew in her heart that Hector Rogers had said that because he didn't want her to feel guilty!

After dinner, Rupert Rogers took a break and was ready to 'roll'!

Before leaving, he also did not forget to urge, "Sister-in-law, I wonder if it's convenient for you to stay here for a night with my brother and Solomon? After all, it's not safe outside at this late hour ..." Hector Rogers and Solomon were extraordinarily taciturn at this point, standing blearily to one side and waiting for Eloise Thompson to say something.

Eloise Thompson cried out, "It's not too late."

"It's late, very late for my brother, he's afraid of the dark!" Rupert Rogers said.

Hector Rogers smiles and laughs.

Eloise Thompson: ...

"Stay if you don't want to leave!"

Solomon was even happier than Hector Rogers when he heard Eloise Thompson say yes, running over and wrapping his arms around Eloise Thompson's legs, overjoyed.

Eloise Thompson was happy to see him happy and was instantly happy too.

Soon Rupert Rogers is gone and Eloise Thompson takes Solomon to the bath!

Suddenly, Hector Rogers' phone rang.

"Hey, Mom."

On the phone, Matriarch Godbold sounded quite serious, "Hector, where are you? Come home right now!"

"Can I help you?" Hector Rogers frowned slightly.

"I have something to tell you, so hurry up!" With those words, he hung up the phone.

Hector Rogers hesitates for a moment and turns his head to the bathroom.

Eloise Thompson was helping Solomon undress when she heard Hector Rogers' voice say, "I may need to go back for something, I'll be back later." "Okay, you go!"

Eloise Thompson is a little taken aback but nods.

Soon after, Hector Rogers was gone too.

The car drove all the way home and by the time it arrived, Matriarch Godbold had been waiting for a long time.

Hector Rogers thought there was some kind of emergency when he saw that Matriarch Rogers had taken two steps forward and pulled him over. "Mom, what's going on? Calling me back in such a hurry?"

Matriarch Godbold said, "This is what I have carefully selected for you, see if there is anything you like? If so, make an appointment later and meet ..."

As she spoke, she handed him a pile of photos of all the famous ladies, of all kinds!

Hector Rogers only glanced at it casually before his brow furrowed and he asked, "Mom, what do you mean by that?"

Matriarch Godbold said with a bemused look on his face, "What else could it mean? I thought you were having a hard time with Solomon on your own and I wanted to replace you a suitable person."
