Love Comes To Me
Chapter 252: Is Mummy going to die?

Eloise Thompson in her arms did not respond in the slightest and Hector Rogers looked increasingly nervous.

It took almost all the strength he had in his life to run to the foot of the hill.

A couple of paramedics rushed up to the thousands, trying to pick up Eloise Thompson.

But Hector Rogers had a cold face and no tendency to let go.

He carried Eloise Thompson to the ambulance and sat on the sidelines.

The emergency doctor involved in the rescue frowned and said in an unpleasant tone, "Please move aside and don't get in the way of me treating the patient."

It was only then that Hector Rogers sat dismally aside, making enough room for the doctor.

He had never been so afraid that she might leave him.

His eyes, it seemed, were glued to hers, and he did not dare to move away from them for even a moment.

The ambulance drove to the nearest hospital, stopped and the paramedics lifted Eloise Thompson onto the operating cart.

He followed and tried to follow but was stopped by the nurse, "This gentleman, this is an operating theatre, you can't follow me in there."

Hector Rogers was isolated outside the operating theatre and it was not known what the condition of Eloise Thompson was.

At the end of the corridor, Rupert Rogers limped over.

"Brother, is sister-in-law okay?"

Rupert Rogers was so worried that he was the first to rush down the hill, despite his leg injury.

"Where's Solomon?" Hector Rogers glanced to his side and saw no sign of Solomon.

"Daddy, Solomon's here." Solomon's big eyes were red with tears and a white face had turned into a flowery face.

Solomon raced past the group of gents and jumped into the arms of Hector Rogers.

"Daddy, is Mummy going to die?" Solomon's hands, tugging at his shirt.

Hector Rogers looked at Solomon, who was so scared and sad, and couldn't bear to look at him, so he picked him up and coaxed him, "Solomon, you have to trust Mummy, she will never leave us." With that one sentence, he wasn't sure if he was reassuring Solomon or himself.

Perhaps the waiting time was too anxious.

Rupert Rogers took the initiative to break the silence and quipped, "Brother, you don't even know that Solomon doesn't let strangers near him, but when he was just coming down the hill, Boden Fay and the others took turns carrying him down the hill and he didn't even duck."

His intention was to distract Hector Rogers, but to his surprise, his eyes became even deeper and more painful.

Solomon wouldn't have let anyone else get close if he hadn't been so anxious in his mind.

Hector Rogers blames himself for Solomon's understanding and that it was he who failed to look after them.

Only then did Rupert Rogers notice that he was wounded and spoke up, "Brother, you're hurt! Nurse, take a look at my brother."

The nurse came up, but Hector Rogers refused to let anyone get close.

"Don't bother." He had a cold face, unwilling to leave to attend to the wound.

In case Eloise came out, he wanted the first thing she saw to be herself.

Rupert Rogers saw so many wounds on his body and his temper got the better of him, "Brother, don't be a hero, what if the wounds get infected if you don't treat the trauma in time?" "There's no need to persuade me." What he was determined to do was absolutely unshakeable.

Time passed and it was an hour.

Before Eloise Thompson could come out, Hector Rogers, satiated, stood up just as he was about to lose it.

He wanted to replace someone immediately to ask about Eloise Thompson.

At that moment, the door of the operating theatre opened.

Immediately afterwards, the operating bed was wheeled out and Eloise Thompson was covered in gauze, a sight that was as shocking as it could be.

Hector Rogers' heart tightened, was she hurt this badly?

The doctor followed him out and Hector Rogers immediately greeted him and asked, "Doctor, how is she doing?"

"Most of the injuries were traumatic and looked scary, but they were treated promptly and are now non-life-threatening."

The doctor added, "The patient has a mild concussion, so your family should keep her under more observation."

Hector Rogers made a note of each one and had the hospital open a separate ward for Eloise Thompson.

Eloise Thompson was wheeled into the ward with Hector Rogers at her bedside.

The doctor scanned him with a stony gaze and said heavily, "The trauma on your body needs urgent attention, and it just so happens that I have a few things to order. You come with me." The doctor was unaware of Hector Rogers' identity and actually used a commanding tone with him.

Rupert Rogers was on hand, all wide-eyed, and crucially, Hector Rogers didn't have any change of expression.

And, he followed it up.

Rupert Rogers followed suit with curiosity, the injury on his foot had not yet been treated either, so the two men sat on the bed in the emergency room, left and right.

After the doctor examined them, he had the nurse treat their wounds again.

The two brothers were more handsome than one another, and the little nurses couldn't help but sneak glances at them.

Their faces had long since turned red with shame, and one of the little nurses, muttered, "This patient, look at how handsome you look, it's a good thing you're treating this foot now. Otherwise it would have infected the wound and the leg would have been crippled."

Perhaps the nurse was distracted for a moment and used a little force on her hand, and Rupert Rogers let out a cry of pain.

Hector Rogers frowned and gave him a concerned look, his eyes falling back on his swollen calf.

"Brother, you don't want to look at me like that, it's uncomfortable." Rupert Rogers was still being a smartass by this point.

When the wound had been treated, Hector Rogers patiently asked the doctor, "Doctor, what did you say you were going to instruct me about?"

He would never have left Eloise Thompson's ward at this time, if not for the doctor's orders.

"Your wife is not even badly hurt, but she has lost a lot of blood in her head and still needs to take more blood for a few days, in the meantime." The doctor just assumed they both had children with them and thought Eloise Thompson was Hector Rogers' wife.

Hector Rogers listened and didn't argue back.

He took note of what the doctor said and, in the first instance, contacted the chef at the resort hotel.

He asked the chef to serve three meals a day, with a set menu of blood-supplementing dishes, and bring them over on time.

"Rupert, you go back first, I'm staying to look after Eloise," said Hector Rogers, who also agreed that Rupert Rogers had to go back to recuperate from his leg injury, and sent him back to the resort in a non-negotiable manner.

By the time he returned to the ward, Solomon was slumped over his bed, exhausted and asleep.

He had just carried Solomon to the hospital bed when Hector's mother's computer came in and Hector's mother asked urgently, "Hector, how did you fall down the hill?"
