Love Comes To Me
Chapter 253: Taking on the Lawson Group

With all the fuss about the rescue at Falling Mountain, news naturally reached Hector's mother's ears very quickly.

She had only heard that Hector Rogers and the others had fallen off the mountain, and when she learned that Hector Rogers had been hospitalised with injuries, she just assumed that he had fallen off the mountain. She rushed to the hospital on this side of the resort with Hector's father in a frenzy.

Hector Rogers had a wound on his body, which had just been tended to, and looked haggard.

Hector's mother looked at Hector Rogers with distress and anxiety, "What the hell is going on? How did this happen to a nice person?"

Hector Rogers didn't expect them to come so quickly and, seeing Hector's parents in a hurry, had to say, "What I have are minor injuries, it was Eloise who really fell down the hill."

His explanation was met with a cold look on Hector's mother's face as she said angrily, "Eloise Thompson again, and this Eloise Thompson is a real pest!"

And again, succinctly, "You stay away from her from now on."

Hector Rogers was already injured and in pain, and when he heard Hector's mother say this, he became angry and inevitably pulled at his wounds.

Seeing his face turn even whiter, Hector's father advised Hector's mother, "You need to cut the crap."

Hector's father asked Hector Rogers again, "Where's Miss Eloise, let's go and see her."

"What's the point of going to see her when Hector got hurt by Eloise Thompson?" Hector's mother flipped out on the spot and refused to go see Eloise Thompson. And Hector Rogers was the first to get up and prepare to leave the ward.

Hector's mother sighed and followed with Hector's father.

As soon as the group entered Eloise Thompson's hospital room, Hector's mother was accusing Eloise Thompson, who had just woken up.

"Miss Eloise, I demand that you leave Hector, you've gotten him hurt this time. You're only hurting yourself by staying with him." Hector's mother spoke harshly. Eloise Thompson's face went white and she coughed violently.

Rupert Rogers limped in just in time to hear Hector's mother's cursing, which he was unable to hear.

He pulled Hector's mother aside, thinking of what Reeva Lawson had done and feeling vicious to the core.

"Mum, I have to be fair." Rupert Rogers said with hatred. Rupert Rogers said with hatred, "Reeva Lawson was the one who did it, and if Reeva Lawson hadn't had a fit of jealousy and pushed his sister-in-law down the hill, she and his brother wouldn't have both ended up in hospital."

Hector's mother froze on the spot, what nonsense was Rupert Rogers talking about?

Is it possible that even Rupert Rogers has been doped up by Eloise Thompson and knows how to tell lies with his eyes wide open?

"Mum, don't you believe me?" Rupert Rogers was a little annoyed to see that Hector's mother didn't believe him, "You can ask the others, everyone knows about this."

"No, it can't be. how could Reeva she have done such a thing?"

Rupert Rogers chuckled lightly, not realising that Reeva Lawson's superficiality was so good that she was able to deceive Hector's mother for so long.

"How is that impossible, right? Not only did it get out to everyone, but my brother saw it with his own eyes at the time, but no one is going to smear Reeva Lawson."

Knowing that Hector's mother was attracted to Reeva Lawson, Rupert Rogers, a straight-talking man, reminded her, "Mum, you'd better give up before it's too late. I'd never approve of Reeva Lawson as my sister-in-law, not to mention my brother. A wicked person like her has no business being in our family."

Hector's mother, seeing his firmness, as if he would turn his back if she said "no", was half-heartedly inclined to believe what Rupert Rogers was saying.

"Rupert, what's wrong with your foot?" Hector's father noticed that Rupert Rogers was walking with a limp, grimaced and lifted his trouser leg.

Rupert Rogers' ankle, heavily bandaged, looked as if it was badly injured.

"Have you checked into hospital yet?" Hector's father didn't look like he was hospitalised by the look of his frame.

Rupert Rogers shook his head, "I just broke my foot, it's fine."

"Nonsense! You're hurt like that and you're not hospitalised?" Hector's father arranged for Rupert Rogers to be hospitalised as well, without any further ado.

Hector's father dragged Hector's mother to leave with Rupert Rogers, when Hector's mother warned Eloise Thompson in a hushed voice, "I hope Miss Eloise doesn't hurt my son again. Because of you alone, both my sons have been hurt." Eloise Thompson clenched her lips as the pain in the back of her head, grew stronger.

All she felt was dizziness in her head and a strong urge to vomit. The desire to vomit.

Hector Rogers could see that she was unwell and his face went cold, "Mum, Eloise has only just come out of surgery, please give her some time to rest."

He tried to restrain his temper, which was on the verge of erupting, and looked at Hector's mother with determination in his eyes.

Hector's father also helped pull Hector's mother out, "Hector, you take care of the people." While pulling Hector's mother, he said, "You, if you have anything to do, wait until they are discharged from the hospital." Hector's parents left the ward and Rupert Rogers sighed and prepared to go back to his own ward.

Just a few steps away, he turned to Hector Rogers again and asked, "Brother, what are you going to do about Reeva Lawson?"

Hector Rogers' face was visibly bad and there was a more stern look in his eyes.

Rupert Rogers, worried that he would take strong measures against Reeva Lawson, sighed and advised, "The Lawson family and the Rogers family, after all, are family friends, so you should be more careful when you do it." It was fine if he didn't speak up for Reeva Lawson, but now Hector Rogers' anger was so riled up that he asked coldly, "Did Eloise deserve to be pushed off the mountain?"

Eloise Thompson, seeing the two of them nearly come to blows over the matter, fought back her dizziness and tried to persuade Hector Rogers, too, not to make a big deal out of it.

Before she could say anything, however, Rupert Rogers added thoughtfully, "Yes, my sister-in-law is too innocent. Alas, I don't care about this matter. Brother, you're on your own." He simply left the ward, tired after all the fuss.

Eloise Thompson spent the day muddling through with a mild concussion and excessive blood loss.

Little did she know that the day after she was injured.

The Lawson Group then encountered an economic crisis. All their requests to banks for loans were rejected.

Today they are in the middle of a major project that requires a lot of capital. The Lawson Group has approached other banks, but has inexplicably been rebuffed.

The money could not be allocated and the big project was put on hold.

This is not to mention the fact that another major project of Lawson Group was suddenly found to have faulty materials and was investigated by the relevant authorities, and their project was halted due to the investigation. As a result of these two shocks, Lawson Group's shares have fallen again and again and the situation is very bleak.

The Lawson Group held an emergency meeting and the executives below were unable to come up with any ideas.

After the meeting, Reeva's father went on a rampage in the chairman's office.

His assistant was no slouch either, and in no time at all he was able to replace out what was going on. "Mr Tristan, I have found out that the Rogers Group was behind this."
