Love Comes To Me
Chapter 294: She'll have to move out

Reeva Lawson and her mother left in a huff, not even finishing their meal.

"Auntie and uncle, I'm sorry for the trouble."

Eloise Thompson stands, eyes downcast, hands uneasily clasped in front of her from self-recrimination.

"It's not your fault, no need to apologise to us." Hector's father said with relief.

Hector's mother chimed in, "Yes, it's not your fault. It's Reeva's fault."

Speaking of which, Hector's mother sighed heavily, "I can't imagine Reeva would turn out the way she has."

"People change all the time." Hector's father patted her on the shoulder in reassurance.

Seeing Eloise Thompson still standing, he smiled and said, "Eloise, you sit down and eat your meal. You don't have to take it to heart about today."

At these words, Eloise Thompson looked up and saw the gentle smile on Hector's father's face, and the tip of her nose snapped up, nearly bringing tears to her eyes. "Thank you, auntie and uncle."

Her voice was a little choked.

Hector's mother and Hector's father looked at each other and then said, "Eloise, don't think too much about it, hurry up and eat your meal and then go upstairs and rest." "Good."

Eloise Thompson sat down meekly and ate her meal quietly with her head down, but her heart was hardly at peace.

Even though Hector's parents didn't say anything and even comforted her, she was still very upset.

It seems that she will have to talk to Hector Rogers some time and she will have to move out.

...

On the other hand, Reeva Lawson and her mother emerged from the Rogers family cottage, both furious.

"Why is that Matriarch Godbold speaking up for that little bitch?" Reeva's mother looked furious.

They had come to "remind" the little bitch that neither the Rogers family nor Hector Rogers were hers to think about.

But I never thought things would end up like this.

Reeva Lawson grimaced and said hatefully, "That bitch is really something, she's so good at buying people off, I really underestimated her."

"So what now?" Reeva's mother asked, "I'm afraid Matriarch Godbold has a problem with you, judging by that attitude."

Reeva Lawson sneered, "Even if I really couldn't marry Hector Rogers, there's no way I'd be cheap enough to marry that bitch."

If she can't have it, no one else can.

...

When Hector Rogers arrived home after eleven o'clock at night, he first went to Eloise Thompson's room to see if she was asleep, only to replace that she was not there. For a moment, he panicked, thinking that she had once again left without saying goodbye.

Turning, he rushed out of the room and was about to head downstairs when a quizzical voice came from behind him, "Hector, where are you going?"

A familiar tone, a familiar voice.

Hector Rogers jerked his head back only to see Eloise Thompson slowly approaching with a glass in her hand.

Eloise Thompson looked at him staring straight at her and asked curiously, "Do I have something on my face?"

The words had barely left his lips when he suddenly wrapped her in a hug.

It was hard, as if he was trying to nestle her into himself.

It was then that Eloise Thompson realised that something was wrong with him.

"Did something happen?" She inquired gently.

Feeling her body heat and smelling the scent that belonged to her, the frightened heart slowly quieted down. "Why aren't you in your room?"

Hector Rogers asks, his voice a little hoarse.

"I'm in my study reading, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

Hector Rogers let go of her and looked down, straight into her clear pupils, "You're not recovered yet, go to bed early." "I know. Just lost track of time today."

It was all her fault that the book was so good that she got so caught up in reading it that she forgot it was so late.

However, his reaction just now was so strange.

It was as if they were afraid she would disappear.

At the thought, Eloise Thompson's eye pupils narrowed, could it be...

"Go back to your room while I go and change."

Hector Rogers rubbed her head and lifted his steps to head for the room.

"Wait." Eloise Thompson pulled back.

"What's wrong?" Hector Rogers turned back and looked at her with tender eyes.

Eloise Thompson raised her eyes and stared at him intently, "Did you just think I was leaving without saying goodbye again?"

At these words, a dead silence fell around the room.

The two men stared at each other, neither speaking.

Some time passed before Hector Rogers spoke, "Don't think too much about it."

He smiled, then turned and strutted towards the room.

Even if he hadn't said it, Eloise Thompson knew he thought so, or he wouldn't have turned his head and seen her with an expression of lost and found.

She wanted to rush up to him and tell him that she would not leave again, even if someone drove her away.

But she didn't have the courage.

She was afraid he wouldn't believe her.

She regretted and felt guilty when she thought of the damage she had done to him by leaving without saying goodbye earlier.

No, she still had to think of ways to reassure him.

Hector Rogers changed his clothes and went to Eloise Thompson's room.

"Hector, come and sit down." Eloise Thompson said as she sat on the edge of the bed and patted the spot beside her.

She had the stance of a mother trying to preach to her child.

Hector Rogers couldn't help but curl his lips as he slowly walked over and sat down, turning his head to look at her, "Is there something you want to talk to me about?" "Hmm." Eloise Thompson nodded, "I think I'm about well enough that I shouldn't bother your parents by staying here any longer."

"You want to move out?"

"No?" Eloise Thompson asked instead of answering.

"Yes. Move to my place."

"Good."

Eloise Thompson said yes so readily that it struck Hector Rogers as a little disingenuous, "You really want to stay at my place?" "Right. Aren't you welcome to me?"

Hector Rogers lost his smile, "I'd hate to tie you back up, how could I not welcome you?"

Eloise Thompson looked at him, smiled shyly and hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder, "Hector, I won't leave you and Solomon again, even if you kick me out." Hearing this, Hector Rogers' heart stirred slightly; she must have sensed something to say such a thing.

He didn't say anything and Eloise Thompson got anxious, "Do you not believe me?"

Hector Rogers laughs, "Believe, I believe you."

Eloise Thompson breathed a sigh of relief at this.

They held each other in silence for a while before Eloise Thompson spoke, "If you want to know anything, you can just ask me, I won't hold back."

Her past, which he knew about, was not mentioned in a single word.

She knew that he cared about her feelings and didn't want her to think too much about it, but that always made her feel uneasy.

Hector Rogers turned his head to look at her, his eyes soft as water, his thin lips parted, "I know everything I need to know, there's no need to ask." "But..."

That's all from what I've heard from others.

She wanted to say that, but in the end she didn't.

"Eloise," Hector Rogers called out softly.

"Hmm."

"It's you I love, and just being you is enough. No matter what your past is like, I love only you and only the Eloise Thompson I know."

Eloise Thompson leaned against his shoulder and smiled, her eyes misting over with a thin layer of water.

The heart is sweet and sour and rises to the brim.
