Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 308: Let's go register our marriage
His scent enveloped her, making her feel reassured and gradually relaxed.
"Hector."
"I
am."
"I shouldn't have disobeyed you."
At those words, Hector let go of her and looked down at her, his eyes dark and deep, like a whirlpool, drawing people deeper into them.
Eloise bit her lip and continued, "I shouldn't have treated you that way that day. You were right, I had nothing to do with Agnes losing her baby and I shouldn't have felt sorry for her or felt guilty." It was because of her soft heart that what happened yesterday happened.
"You were too kind, and that's what gave Agnes the opportunity to hurt you."
Hector looked at the gauze wrapped around her head and his eyes filled with heartache, "Eloise, no matter what happens in the future, I want you to put your own safety first, okay?"
She had already been hurt once last time because of Solomon, and now she was hurt again, and he really didn't want her to get hurt any more.
Knowing that she had worried him, Eloise felt a little guilty and she pursed her lips and nodded her head vigorously in agreement.
Only then did Hector show some smile, his fingertips caressing her cheek, softly saying, "Lie down and sleep a little longer, the porridge will be here later."
"Hmm."
Eloise obediently lay back down on the bed and blinked her two big eyes, in fact she didn't feel sleepy at all, she was dizzy but not very uncomfortable so she could bear it.
It was kind of cute to see her looking at herself with her eyes open when she wasn't sleeping.
The corners of Hector's lips couldn't help but rise, "Why aren't you sleeping?"
"Couldn't sleep." Eloise thought for a moment and asked, "Where's Solomon?"
"At my parents'."
"Did you tell him where I was? Lest he think I've disappeared again."
After the last time she was away for so long, Solomon is now insecure and afraid that she will be away for that long again.
Hector raised an eyebrow, "You remember this, huh?"
"Of course I remember." Eloise averted her eyes sheepishly and cooed, "I thought you didn't care."
Hector heard this and smiled helplessly, "Eloise, how could I not care? I didn't mention it, I just didn't want you to harbour guilt about me and Solomon."
"And do you blame me?" Eloise moved her eyes back to him and looked at him steadily.
Hector gave a gentle glance, "No blame, just heartbroken, heartbroken that you have endured so much alone for so many years."
"It's nothing." Eloise gave him a reassuring smile, "It's nothing really, after all this time. Don't you feel sorry for me."
"Fool." Hector was amused by her words, "How could I not feel for you? You are my future wife, it is only right that I should feel for you."
Eloise was so moved inside that her eyes couldn't help but redden and flood with tears as she sniffled and asked, "Do you mind then?"
Even if she hadn't explicitly said so, he knew what she was asking about.
"Don't mind." He took her hand and planted a kiss on the back of it, his voice extremely gentle, "I don't mind at all. It's you I love, it doesn't matter what your past is." Rolling tears could not be resisted.
Eloise bit her lip and looked at him with teary eyes, her heart full of emotion.
"Don't cry." Hector gently wiped away her tears, then continued, "When you're out of hospital, we'll go and register our marriage."
He said that out of the blue and Eloise was dumbfounded, registered marriage?
"What? You don't want to?" Hector asked with a smile when he saw how surprised she was.
Eloise looked back and shook her head quickly, "No, it's not that I don't want to. It's just that ... where are your parents?"
"They'll agree."
In fact, his father has long acquiesced to the relationship, only his mother is still somewhat resistant, but after this incident, she should agree to it.
His mother had never been a hard-hearted person and must have been heartbroken to see her lose a child this time.
"Really?" Eloise was in a bit of disbelief.
"Really." Hector squeezed her palm and coaxed softly, "Sleep a little longer and I'll call you up when the porridge comes." Eloise nodded, "Good."
This time, Eloise meekly closed her eyes.
Hector helped her tuck in the corners and then sat down beside the hospital bed.
...
"What do you mean? That bitch is awake?"
Agnes stared at her mother with wide eyes and disbelief.
Ela nodded, "Yeah. I saw a doctor go in and then I asked the nurse to replace out that it was awake."
"Why so soon?" Agnes panicked, biting her finger uneasily, "What if she says I told her to come to the hospital, then I'll be in trouble."
Seeing her overwhelmed and panicked, Ela rushed to reassure her, "Agnes, don't panic yet, look the Rogers family hasn't come for you yet, that means the bitch must not have said anything yet." "Not now, but it will come later." Agnes turned her head to look at her with a terrified look on her face, "Mum, what am I going to do, the Rogers family won't let me off the hook if they know it was me." "Don't panic, don't panic."
In fact, Ela was panicking, but she had to play it cool in order to calm her daughter.
She thought about it and suddenly thought of something, grabbed Agnes' hand and said, "Agnes, when the time comes, if you really can't, just push Reeva out and let her take it all on."
At those words, Agnes was dumbfounded, "Mum, how can I do that? She and I are in the same boat now, she dies and I die, do you understand?"
"So what to do?"
Agnes forced herself to calm down, then thought for a moment before her eyes suddenly lit up, "I know what to do."
"What do you want to do?" Ela asked.
"Mum, don't ask, anyway, when the time comes you just pretend you don't know anything and ask three questions, okay?" "That's for sure."
Even if she didn't explain, she knew what she had to do.
Agnes nodded, "That's good."
She breathed a sigh of relief, "Mom, don't worry, I'll be fine."
Ela frowned at her confident look, "How exactly do you want to do that?"
"Mom, don't ask. You'll know when the time comes."
Ela was still a bit worried, "You shouldn't have worked with that Reeva back then, now what if you got yourself into this?"
Agnes doesn't panic anymore, but Ela does.
"Mom, it's okay, it's going to be okay." Agnes said soothingly.
"What's wrong?"
Josh walked in and he happened to overhear Agnes and asked with concern.
Agnes and Ela looked at each other, then simultaneously returned, "Nothing."
Josh looked at them both in amazement, "Why are you both answering at the same time? Is there something you're not telling me?"
"Dad, how could it be?" Agnes came up and put her arms around him and pouted, "How could I keep something from you."
