Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 392: I want you to live
He knew he shouldn't have fallen asleep, but he really wanted to close his eyes.
On the other hand, Hector rushed inside and searched for a long time without seeing Rupert or Aisly, and halfway through the house the fire was raging so fast that it was impossible to move an inch.
Just as he was about to rush in once more, the police officers around him stopped him and discouraged him, "Mr Hector, the fire is too big now, let the firemen outside put it out before you go looking for anyone else, otherwise this is just too dangerous."
Seeing that the fire inside was really raging, Hector obediently followed and backed out.
The protective clothing he was wearing had been burned to the point where some of the sparks had run into his clothes.
When Hector took off his shirt, all he could see was that his shirt inside was burnt, sticking to his body with a red burn mark.
Despite the excruciating pain coming from his body, Hector kept his face stoic and brought a bucket of water down over his head to make sure he was soaked through.
Then he asked for a new pair of protective clothing, put on his smoke mask and rushed in again.
Just as he was entering the fire, an arm pulled him back.
Hector turned around in confusion and saw Marian standing beside him in her protective suit.
When he saw Marian, Hector frowned. I thought she was supposed to protect Eloise, but why was she here?
Seeing Hector's confusion, Marian said, "Prince, this operation is too dangerous, so I didn't feel comfortable and came along, I also brought a small team with me to go in and rescue people as well." Hector nodded at his words and instructed, "Tell them all to be safe."
With that he put the mask on his head and prepared to go in.
Marian saw this and was about to follow, but was stopped by Hector, "You wait outside for the news, too many people in here will be more dangerous."
Seeing that Hector had given the order, Marian had no choice but to stay where he was.
But in her heart she was happy, had he just been concerned for herself?
As she watched the flames grow, Marian's heart rose.
The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire after a lot of hard work, but a new problem arose: although there was no fire, there was more and more smoke. The search for people in the thick smoke certainly made the search and rescue work more difficult.
The further we went in, the heavier the smoke became and Hector's heart sank.
Search and rescue teams and police plus dogs were deployed, calling out Rupert and Aisly's names.
But the situation in the basement was not too promising for the pair, who were unaware that there was a search going on outside and were on the verge of giving up. The smoke has filled the basement and Rupert's body is already bruised, and with the constant smoke inhalation, he is losing consciousness.
Even Aisly was not able to speak to Aisly, who had just been able to speak to her, but now there was no response.
Aisly was so scared that she pressed herself to Rupert's ear and kept talking to him, just hoping he would stay conscious. "Rupert you mustn't fall asleep, as long as you live I'll be at your disposal for free for the rest of my life, for anything."
"I just beg you not to leave me, please, I've only met such a good man as you in my life, if you go, who will protect me."
"I know I'm bad, I'm not good enough for you with my looks and education, but I might really have a crush on you ..." "Rupert, I just want you to live."
...
I don't know if she was speaking to Rupert or talking about her own heart, but in any case now she only had one wish, and that was to get out of here alive.
At this point Rupert could no longer hear anything from the outside world, but could feel the person beside him talking on and on about something.
He wanted to touch Aisly's face again, to see her face again, but he had no strength left.
They say that before you die you remember good experiences, and Rupert's mind kept replaying every little thing he had done with Aisly.
Her anger, her sweetness, her weakness...
He remembered them all, but now he didn't have the strength to even lift a finger.
When he slowly closed his eyes, Aisly's heart sank with him.
Were they really going to be trapped here?
Looking down at Rupert's cheek, Aisly smiled, even if she died like this, she was not alone.
Just as she had lost all desire to live, she heard someone calling her name.
At first she thought she was hallucinating, but the voice was getting closer and closer to her, and Aisly couldn't think of anything else to say as she responded loudly, "I'm here!!!" Hector was around and when he heard the voice coming from under the ground, he rushed over with his men to dig through the floor.
Tears fell from the corners of Aisly's eyes as she heard the sounds from above, finally God was not willing to let them leave the world like this, well God was still looking out for them.
The floor was soon pried open and Hector saw the two men underground.
Both of them were in a state that could not be described as a mess.
Aisly's clothes were barely clothed and Rupert's were red with blood.
Hector hurriedly shouted inside, "Can you talk now?"
Hearing Hector's voice, Aisly hurriedly handed Rupert out of her arms towards the outside and shouted, "Quickly, help him, he's passed out, he has burns on his body and needs to be disinfected immediately." Her tone was full of worry, and Hector reassured, "Don't worry, he'll be fine."
Soon Rupert was carried up to the top where an ambulance had long been waiting outside, not daring to slacken when it saw the injuries on Rupert's body.
After Rupert was out, Aisly was also rescued, looking a little dirty with a mixture of blood and stains on her face.
Once Hector had taken Rupert to the ambulance, he turned back and took off his clothes and covered Aisly's body.
"Thanks." Aisly replied politely.
When she finished Aisly couldn't help but start coughing and Hector, who was standing by, thoughtfully handed her a bottle of water and a packet of tissues. Aisly spat out the sticky spit in her mouth, it was black and dark, so you can imagine how much soot she had inhaled in her lungs.
Taking advantage of the puddle of water left by the firefighters who had just put out the fire, Aisly saw how messed up she was in the water.
