Chapter 104
Back then, Benson and the Lopez brothers were prejudiced
against Madelyn. But their attitude seemed to have changed after this incident.
They were aware of her medical results. Even without Andrew's orders, they would still secretly look into it.
Benson left, leaving the Lopez brothers in the room with
Andrew.
Andrew turned toward Rowan and questioned, "How are things going with Easton?"
"He kept insisting that he and Mrs. Miller are truly in love."
Andrew sneered. Just how audacious was he?
He might have been unable to tell whether Easton truly loved- Madelyn before this, but the entire Miller family was now. aware of it after the Lovitale incident. Murderous intent crossed Rowan's eyes. "What should we do
with him now?"
"Release him. Hand over his shares in Horizon International Group and the projects he'd secured for them to the relevant authorities for a thorough investigation." Rowan was stunned. Was Andrew driving Easton to his end?
He must be. The Miller Group's major projects were involved, and it only seemed insignificant because Andrew didn't probe
into it. But if he did, the investigation would be meticulous.
No matter what power Elijah wielded abroad, he had no
chance of protecting Easton.
"Should we let him return to the country?"
"Certainly." Andrew wouldn't allow Easton to seek refuge in Felasko, after all.
Even if Easton was protected in Felasko, he had his ways to capture him back. He would go to extreme lengths to achieve his goals.
Rowan hadn't expected Andrew to allow Easton to return.
Though his relationship with Madelyn was a thing of the past, he was still a nuisance.
A few days later, the bandages on Madelyn's forehead were removed, leaving only a faint pink scar on it.
Andrew brushed his fingers gently across the scar. "Did it hurt back then?"
"It hurt a lot," she whimpered, looking at him coquettishly.
Her endearing demeanor placated his fury and deepened his affection for her. A rush of pleasure surged through him as he reminisced the pleasant moments they'd missed together. He set her on his lap and asked sternly, "Will you dare to do it again?" He still sounded gentle nonetheless.
"No!" Madelyn replied, shaking her head.
She seemed solemn, but she couldn't guarantee deep down. If something like this happened again, she would probably act without hesitation.
Oblivious to her internal conflict, Andrew swore to protect her after this incident and pinched her nose. "Good girl."
Madelyn smiled sweetly.
He brought her to feed the horses in the afternoon, which was a promise he made a week ago. He was still concerned about her health, so he hadn't let her go outdoors until now. Today's cool weather was perfect for outdoor activities. Dressed in a white athletic dress and wearing Andrew's black baseball cap, Madelyn turned up at the horse ranch.
Andrew led her to the fence, and she immediately saw the sleek black horse.
Her eyes softened. "Beerie has grown a lot."
"You still remember her." Andrew's tone was thick with affection as he raised an eyebrow.
Madelyn felt a bit embarrassed. She and Andrew had delivered Beerie back then, and she gave the foal the name because of its mother's penchant for drinking beer during pregnancy.
It had been ages since she last visited Beerie. The little foal had grown into a majestic steed. Seeing her, it strutted toward her and nudged her face to show its affection for her.
Madelyn felt disheartened. Getting entangled with Easton and hurting her husband was bad enough, but how could she forget
about her dear Beerie?
