Chapter 67

Madelyn froze, her mind racing to connect the dots. Athena had always disliked Natalle, for reasons Madelyn couldn't fathom. She rarely allowed her Into the Miller residence except for major events.

In contrast, Lance had always shown a soft spot for Natalie and quietly supported her. The cost of setting up Starlight Entertainment for Natalie was just a drop in the Millers' financial bucket. "But isn't she implying something is between you two?" Madelyn hung her head, feeling distressed. She wondered if she looked like an easy target, with everyone seemingly lining up to provoke her. "Wouldn't you know if something was going on between her and me?" Andrew questioned.

Madelyn fell silent again at his question. Despite their strained

relationship over the years, Andrew could always be found at home or in the office. He always made it home on time every evening, so there was no chance of him being involved with other women. Still, she was upset and kept silent.

Andrew gently caressed her cheek, his voice soothing as he said, " Stop being mad, okay?"

Madelyn lowered her head, her mind racing. Remembering Andrew's earlier words about Natalie, she asked, "Did you really fire her from the company?"

After all, Lance had founded that agency for Natalie.

Andrew paused, recalling the words that had slipped out in anger during his phone call with Natalie. He stated, "It's time to pass

Starlight Entertainment to her now that she's capable. I'm stepping away from it."

Andrew was stepping away from it? Madelyn thought it might be a good idea, especially after tonight's event. He should probably keep his distance from Natalie as much as possible. Andrew dialed Leonard Yancey's number right before Madelyn to ease

her worry.

Leonard picked up almost immediately. He greeted, "Andrew."

"From tomorrow onward, you'll be moving from Starlight Entertainment to Aura Entertainment," Andrew declared.

Leonard paused briefly before replying, "Got it."

He didn't ask any questions. After being with Starlight Entertainment for years, he knew exactly what Natalie wanted with Andrew. Anyone who knew Andrew knew he'd eventually sever all ties with Starlight

Entertainment.

After ending the call, Andrew lowered his head to look at Madelyn. Darling, does that prove my sincerity?"

Madelyn regarded him skeptically, pouting. Since when had he started acting so sweetly?

It took Andrew a while, but he finally calmed Madelyn down. Madelyn, who was experiencing severe menstrual cramps, found it hard to stay angry with him.

Andrew's heart ached as he saw her face turn pale. He asked, "Is it hurting badly?"

Madelyn hummed in response. The emotional strain seemed to

worsen her cramps this time, leaving her breaking out in a cold sweat.

Andrew wrapped her snugly in a blanket and reassured her, "I'll make some tea for you."

Madelyn nodded meekly as he had done this for her many times

before. While Andrew busied himself in the kitchen, she took a warm shower in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the heat of the water seemed to exacerbate her menstrual cramps

By the time Andrew noticed, it was too late. He gently carried her to bed and tucked her in with a blanket. "I can't leave you alone for even a short time without something going wrong." Madelyn gave him a pitiful look. Wasn't he the one who used to

handle everything? He had always spoiled her, but now, he blamed her for causing problems.

Andrew brought the tea he made, saying, "Drink this. It'll help you feel better.

Madelyn nodded quietly. She hated drinking this tea the most. Its sweet yet spicy flavor always felt strange to her. But today, she was surprisingly obedient.
