Chapter 74
Madelyn knew who Laura Cooper was. She was the Cooper family's heiress, who had been abroad for years. Madelyn had no idea if Laural had ever lived with Andrew.
With the constant rumors about Andrew and various women such as Elena and subsequently Natalie, Madelyn had become somewhat desensitized. Her trust in Andrew remained firm. Smiling slightly, Madelyn looked at the furious Natalie in amusement. "You should be more worried about explaining yourself to Grandma,"
she said.
Natalie's face turned even paler at the mention of the matriarch. She hadn't expected Madelyn to be so calm. Wasn't she supposed to be hot-headed and easily provoked?
"And if things go as expected, Grandma will probably cut ties with you this time." Madelyn sneered.
Natalie's face grew even paler. She remembered how her biggest protector in the family, her grandfather, was no longer around.
Andrew had been Natalie's main support. But, earlier that morning, the lawyer had informed her that Starlight Entertainment had officially been transferred to her name.
She had initially felt triumphant, thinking Andrew had gifted her such a massive company. However, things quickly went downhill.
Normally, Leonard would be there to manage the company, but today, he hadn't shown up. When she gave him a call, she found out he had gone back to Aura Entertainment.
It dawned on Natalie that this wasn't a gift from Andrew but a clear severance of ties. She didn't understand how to run a company. With
Leonard gone, everything had fallen into chaos.
Natalle hadn't expected the mornings scandal to enrage Andrew. She received numerous calls from the family but hadn't dared to answer
once
Natalie had looked for Andrew earlier to discuss Starlight
Entertainment's situation and to address the family's concerns.
Andrew, however, had refused to help with either.
Madelyn turned to leave, and as Natalie watched her retreating figure, her eyes burned with frustrated tears.
When Madelyn stepped into the office, Andrew's cold demeanor instantly softened. He stood up and walked over to her.
Noticing the sweat on Madelyn's forehead, he grabbed a tissue and gently wiped it away. "Benson wasn't with you. Did you take a cab?"
"Nope. Stella gave me a ride."
Madelyn knew she would be in for another scolding if Andrew found out she'd taken a cab in this heat.
Andrew scrutinized her expression, then glanced toward the door. His anxious look made Madelyn smile inwardly at how endearing he could be when he was worried. "Stop looking. I met her," Madelyn said.
Andrew took a deep breath, his grip on her hand tightening.
Madelyn reassured him, "No need to explain. I trust you."
"Darling," Andrew murchured, deeply moved. He wrapped his arms around her and spun her around the office.
Her simple statement of trust meant the world to him. In the past, they hadn't even had feelings for each other, let alone trust. Now, not

only did she have feelings for him, but she also trusted him.

Andrew kissed Madelyn's cheek tenderly and asked, "What did she say to you?"
Madelyn thought back to what Natalie had said in the office.
In truth, she had shattered Andrew's perception of women. He had always thought Natalie was pitiful, especially since her mother was no longer around. Before Andrew's grandfather, Lance Miller, passed, he had urged Andrew to care for Natalie. He never imagined she harbored such ill intentions.
"She said you handed over Starlight Entertainment to her and that I mean nothing to you," Madelyn replied.
Their bond was unique, as they were both lovers and family. Madelyn knew Andrew wouldn't hurt her like that.
"Don't listen to her nonsense," Andrew said, his face darkening at the thought of Natalie spreading lies.
Andrew didn't know of Natalie's true nature due to their infrequent interactions. But now, even with Lance's request, he didn't want to bother about her anymore. Act Fast: Free Bonus Time is Running Out!
