Chapter 88

"Why should I listen to you?"

"I swear you will regret it for the rest of your life if you do nothing."

Rowan was stunned by her threats. "Where are you now?"

"Lotivale."

Realizing Andrew was also in Lotivale and understanding his purpose there, Rowan was taken aback upon learning Madelyn was there, too. Moreover, she had asked him to relay such a message to Andrew. After a moment of silence, Rowan figured out the reason. "Are you outside the warehouse?"

"Yes. Please don't tell him. I don't want him distracted."

Rowan had known Madelyn could be impulsive, but he didn't realize she was so audacious to follow Andrew to the warehouse. But he didn't have time to deal with her antics now.

Rowan took a deep breath and asked, "What do you see?"

"There are many men in black."

"Got it." Before Rowan ended the call, he added, "Make sure you hide well."

With that, he ended the call abruptly without waiting for Madelyn's response.

Madelyn observed the men around her, a flicker of danger crossing her eyes.

Meanwhile, a car arrived with someone holding the

documents. It was the Miller Group's lawyer, Josiah Hart.

In that instant, Andrew's eyes narrowed as he sensed danger.

Josiah approached and handed the documents to Andrew." Mr. Miller," he said respectfully.

Andrew didn't accept the documents. Instead, his gaze raked the car with a cold intensity.

Josiah looked back and said, "Mrs. Miller isn't in the car."

Just then, a call from Elijah came through. Andrew answered

but remained silent.

"Sign the papers, Andrew."

"You want more than just my signature, don't you?"

Elijah remained silent. The air thickened with suppressed tension.

Ever since replaceing out that Lance didn't leave anything for Elijah in his will, Elijah had harbored a deep resentment toward him.

Josiah's sudden appearance today laid bare his intentions to end their long-standing rivalry today.

"Where's Maddie?" Andrew asked.

"What a pity that you still care for a woman who betrayed you. at this moment."

Changer

His tone dripped with undisguised sarcasm as he continued, If our father knew he was handing over the century-

old Miller family's business to someone like you, he would surely regret his decision. Don't you think so?"

Meanwhile, Madelyn answered Rowan's call. "What did Andrew say?"

"He didn't reply to my message. I tried to call him, but it won't get through. I think the signal inside is jammed."

"Are Benson and others inside?"

"Benson and Jason would usually be with him in such

situations."

Madelyn looked at the warehouse with a concerned expression. Her palms started to sweat slightly.

Benson and Jason were by Andrew's side, while Rowan was

abroad.

"Do you have any men in Klago City right now?"

"What do you plan to do?"

"Find Easton and call Elijah."

Rowan hesitated for a moment. Though he didn't understand why Madelyn was making these requests, he knew that she was outside of the warehouse.

At this moment, Rowan had no choice but to trust Madelyn. Even if catching Easton meant trouble, he would have to take

the risk and get through the ordeal
