Chapter 89

Madelyn had been staring at the time after she hung up on Rowan. Time had passed, yet the person she had been

anticipating still hadn't turned up.

Instead, a few suspicious cars came into view. The men near the factory stirred once the people from the car emerged and entered the factory.

Even Madelyn could hear the noises coming from the factory despite being at a considerable distance.

Her phone rang-it was Rowan. She picked up the call. "Hello?"

"Easton's not in Klago City!"

Madelyn's heart skipped a beat. But Rowan continued immediately, "But he was caught in Felasko by Jason's men.

Jason's men? Wasn't Jason supposed to be with Andrew?

Something flashed in her mind. Her pupils were blown wide. and her breathing grew labored. She remembered now.

It was today when Andrew was severely injured, yet Jason was with her in Klago City in her previous life.

They had changed so many things in this life. Why was Jason

still not with him?

Without much thought, Madelyn screamed, "Call Elijah now! Tell him to stop immediately if he wants his son to survive.

She tossed her phone aside and revved the engine. Her car

shot out of the woods and barreled toward the factory.

Meanwhile, Andrew and Wilson were staring at the chaos. before them sullenly. They might have failed to notice something was amiss, but they weren't unprepared. Such a huge stash was involved, after all. Spending strenuous efforts to retrieve their goods was inevitable. And to Andrew, Elijah was certainly a surprise.

The chaos showed no signs of subduing. Just then, a man in the lead answered a call and shot a defiant look at Andrew.

"Retreat!" he roared at the chaotic crowd.

Andrew's menacing gaze flicked toward him. Before he could speak, Wilson snarled, "None of you can leave!"

Hearing this, the man was furious.

The moment Madelyn turned up at the entrance, she saw the man aiming a dagger at Andrew's back.

Her heart raced as she jammed on the accelerator. A

deafening crash was heard when the man was three feet away from Andrew.

He was sent flying in the air, and Madelyn's car also swerved and collided with the van.

Noting the loud crash, Andrew and Wilson spun around.

Andrew spotted Madelyn at first glance despite the tainted car window.

His heart stalled as he dashed toward her car.

In a daze, Madelyn was plopped against the airbag. Her

breathing was weak, and blood blurred her vision while tuggin on her senses.

Andrew was greeted with such a scene as soon as he opene the door. His breath hitched

Why was she here? Wasn't she with Elijah? Did she not escap

with Easton?

Recovering from his shock, Andrew called out to her anxiously "Maddie!"

Madelyn struggled to meet his gaze when she heard him. Seemingly wanting to say something, her lips trembled.

When Andrew bent down to pick her up, he heard her murmuring, "I'm glad you're fine.)

He was rendered speechless. The distress and fury that had been pent up overnight dissipated instantly.

Andrew froze, but he soon recollected himself. Carefully hoisting her out of the car, he roared, "Call the ambulance!"

The signal was jammed, making it impossible to make phone calls. Elijah would only turn off the interference when he felt like calling him.

Wilson was also dumbfounded when he came over and saw Madelyn. He tossed the car keys to Andrew.
