Chapter 93

The jet landed in Klago City.

Andrew took Madelyn back to Serenity Villa right away. Once they entered, they saw David busy dealing with the medical

team.

Though Madelyn had spent most of her time on the jet with Andrew and rarely saw the team, she still immediately recognized that they weren't the same people as on the plane. "What's going on?"

Noting the flash of panic in her eyes, Andrew reassured her gently, "We need to perform a thorough checkup on you

tomorrow. Don't worry."

Madelyn's chest tightened. "It's just a mild injury. Aren't you overreacting?"

He wasn't this overwhelming in her previous life, right?

Andrew didn't answer her and carried her back to their room instead. She had eaten on the plane, so she wasn't hungry at the moment. He helped her bathe, exercising great care throughout the process.

Madelyn clung to his neck. "Send those people away. I don't need any checkups."

It was just an insignificant injury. Despite the hospital saying that it was a mild one, he still made such a fuss and brought

an entire medical team.

Andrew held her close and kissed her. "Be good and listen to me."

"No, I won't! This is my decision to make."

After bathing her, he wrapped her in a towel and ensured that her wound didn't get wet.

Seeing that Andrew refused to comply, Madelyn frowned. As he was about to leave after placing her on the bed, she suddenly grabbed his collar.

"Is there something else going on?"

He wouldn't be making such a big deal out of it if it were just an injury. The hospital must've discovered something wrong. with her when they examined her for her injury, so he wanted to perform a thorough ch Was it related to infertility?

Noticing her anxious expression, Andrew said, "There's nothing else."

"Then I won't go for a checkup!" Madelyn was equally adamant.

Andrew was exasperated, while Madelyn's heart also sank when she remembered how many contraceptive pills Elena had given to them last time.

Judging by the number of people who struggled for a child, it was evidently difficult to treat infertility. Could she possibly end up like those people?

A sense of anxiety prickled at Madelyn. She hadn't considered having children before, but now she really wanted to have a

child with Andrew.

"Madelyn," Andrew crooned, stroking her hair affectionately.

"I won't go for the checkup if you won't tell me," she replied. stubbornly.

Feeling helpless, he took her into his arms. He hadn't planned to tell her. But seeing how unyielding she was, he sighed and said, "Have you ever been seriously injured before?"

He couldn't recall her suffering a severe injury, at least not during the ten years she was at the Miller residence. When could this have happened? Did it take place after she returned to the Garcia family? Recalling the Garcias' attitude toward Madelyn over the years, Andrew turned sullen.

Madelyn shook her head. "I don't think so. I don't remember."

"Some blood clots are discovered in your brain. Judging by the degree of coagulation, the doctor said it's not from this recent injury. It's likely caused by an old one." Madelyn's breath hitched. "Blood clots?"

Andrew nodded. "Yes."

"Is it very serious?"

Andrew fell silent.

Oh dear, she was so oblivious that she wasn't even aware of the graveness of her condition!

"Have you felt anything unusual over the years?"

Chapter 93

"No!" Madelyn answered, utterly bewildered. She really didn't remember suffering any past injuries.

Over these years, she felt perfectly fine besides the occasional cold or headache. Or could it be that the cold and headache

were caused by the blood clots?

But she recovered every time she took some cold medicine. It didn't seem like a big deal at all.
