Chapter 130

Madelyn would eventually send Elena to jail. However, she didn’t think it was the right time, as the latter still had the many things that her maternal grandmother, Clara Tate, had

left for her.

Those items would fall into Amelia’s hands if Elena were

hastily sent to prison.

Whatever Amelia and Caleb had didn’t matter to Madelyn, but she could not allow anyone else to take what Clara had left for her.

“Why are you in such a hurry? We have the upper hand

anyway,” Madelyn calmly remarked when she didn’t get a response from Rowan.

That was the moment Rowan understood that Madelyn’s gentleness was only reserved for Andrew.

As for the people around her in the past, she was determined to make them suffer.

Madelyn truly lived up to Jason’s description of her. She

was a devil that could suck one dry. She hadn’t changed – she merely switched sides.

Before, she stood with the Garcia family to bleed Andrew dry.

And now, she was standing with Andrew to drain the Garcia

family’s resources.

“Then do you need me to keep an eye on the Garcia family?” Rowan asked.

Madelyn shook her head.

“Nope!”

She was well aware of what they could do, and since she knew what they were capable of, there was no need to keep an eye on them.

Since she had said so, Rowan didn’t insist on it and went to see Andrew.

When Madelyn was alone in the office, Janet brought her some snacks and coffee. After eating, Madelyn felt drowsy.

Since around 1:00 pm, her phone had been ringing nonstop. Angeline and Amelia had called her, but she didn’t answer a single call.

As Andrew exited the conference room, Janet approached him and respectfully said, “Mr. Miller, you have a guest waiting for you in the meeting room.”

When Andrew heard her, he glanced at his watch. He

nodded, thinking it might be Wilson before heading to the

meeting room.

Yet, when he opened the door, Krista from the Garcia family was there, not Wilson.

Chapter 130

Although he hadn’t interacted much with her, he knew the Garcia family all too well. His face darkened.

He asked Janet, “What’s going on?”

Janet sensed the murderously cold aura from him and was. frightened to the point of tears.

“Ms. Garcia has been waiting here for you for a long time.”

“Mr. Miller, please don’t fault her. I was the one who insisted on waiting here for you.”

Krista spoke as she stood up.

Dressed in a white dress that accentuated her tall figure, she carried a hint of elegance amidst her cold demeanor

Andrew had always disliked the members of the Garcia family. Krista wasn’t the first woman from the Garcia family,

to seek him out, so he was used to this.

He turned to Janet and said, “Go get Mrs. Miller.”

“Yes, sir.”

When Krista heard Andrew asking for Madelyn to be there, her expression changed.

As Janet turned to leave, Krista asked coldly, “Mr. Miller, are you perhaps afraid of Maddie? Or are you worried about what a weak woman like me might do to you?”

Andrew’s face darkened.

Janet held her breath, trembling as she looked at Andrew’s back.

“Mr. Miller, should I still get Mrs. Miller?”

Andrew didn’t respond. He merely glanced at Krista and stepped inside.

Krista gave Janet a look, which scared the latter. Although she was frightened, she still closed the door and left.

With only Krista and Andrew in the meeting room, Andrew noticed that the blinds had been lowered.

Moreover, Krista’s dress had a very low neckline. Andrew was faithful to Madelyn, but that did not mean that no one had ever tried to seduce him.

Krista’s intentions were evident to anyone who understood such matters.

In a cold and mocking tone, Andrew commented, “As expected of someone from the Garcia family–no prestigious school can turn any of you into respectable people.”

Krista paled, the humiliation in the atmosphere palpable.

Her hand trembled as she held a folder, and she couldn’t decide whether to hand it to Andrew or not.
