“Aurora and I will be staying here until I get better,” he answered.

“I won’t agree to that!”

“I’m not asking for your approval,” he said decisively.

At this moment, Vicky wished that she had stabbed him to death so that she would never have to dealwith him ever again.

“You just don’t know how to leave me alone, don’t you??”

Tyler shot her a look and mocked, “You severely injured someone. Did you not think about theconsequences before doing it?” ’

“Arrest me for my crimes and send me to prison, then.”

“What, have you developed a taste for prison now?”

Vicky said coldly, “Between having you stay here and going to prison, I’d rather choose the latter.”

Vicky rolled her eyes and scoffed.

“My foot is fine.” Vicky disregarded. “There’s no need for medication.”

Vicky knew that Aurora wanted to discuss Tyler’s situation and stood up. “Okay.”

In the guest room, Aurora said helplessly, “Vicky, you already know about my parents’ situation. I can’tgo home right now, and I can’t stay with Tyler either, but the thing is… He’s heavily injured and needssomeone to take care of him…” As Aurora spoke, she observed Vicky’s expression. “Tyler’s

Vicky was speechless for a moment before saying, “You want to keep Tyler here? Aurora, aren’t youconcerned that I might take advantage of the situation? Sometimes, being so casual about things canlead to a lot of trouble.”

“You’re right.” Aurora nodded earnestly and said with a naive smile, “But you and Tyler are exes. Sinceyou’re exes, it means that you’re not suitable for each other anymore.” 1
