Luna Abigail
Chapter 14

Abby’s P.O.V

“Why would you kidnap the Luna of Silver Mist? This is crazy, even for you Keres.” Selene states.

“Wait, wait, wait.” I say, as I step forward. “She is your sister?” Selene nods in my direction, but never takes her eyes off of Keres.

“Yes, she is the fourth sister, actually. Me, Ophelia, Monica and Keres. But you already know this, Abby.” I think back to the children’s stories my mother used to tell me, and remember one of the four sisters, goddesses and creators of our realm. To hear the stories, and then be confronted with the truth of those stories, is something else entirely. I also recall the conversation we had when Ellie and Willow first came to the pack. As crazy as this is, I’m in the middle now, and will do my duty to my people as their Queen. I sigh.

“Enough of this small talk. I brought her here because I knew you wouldn’t be far behind. I am surprised Ophelia didn’t come with you. Normally you two are tied at the h*p.” Keres says in a mock concern voice.

“You’ve got me here. Now let Abby go home.” Selene states, crossing her arms. Keres looks amused and taps her finger on her mouth as if she is thinking it over.

“Yeah, that will be a pass at that. I rather like her, and maybe I will…” But she does not get to finish that sentence before I feel a pull and the meadow disappears. The last thing I hear is Keres swearing. “Those meddlesome witches..” And then everything goes dark.

I land on something soft, and the surrounding voices speak in soft tones. I recognize some of them, but one stands out entirely. Matthew.

“Is she alright? Why isn’t she waking? I’ll kill whoever took her.” He growls at the last part, and I can hear his wolf is on edge.

“Will you relax already, Alpha? Being summoned by a goddess will take energy from everyone, but she is okay. Keres summoned her, if I am reading this right and we brought the Luna back against the goddesses will. She will wake soon.”

This is the last thing I hear before darkness takes over again.

Third person P.O.V

It has been three weeks since they brought Abby back from the meadow. But she has not wakened yet. Her body keeping her in a comatose condition. Matt has not left her side much since they brought her back, and all his tries to get Selene or Ophelia to show themselves has been for nothing. The witches and doctors keep saying nothing is wrong with her, but why isn’t she waking up then? These thought has been playing in Matt’s head ever since she landed in that bed.

Fall is slowly giving away for winter, and today Matt has that meeting with Alpha Balck, but he does not want to leave his mate’s side. Even though he knows Ellie, Jason, or someone else will be at her side. He has not left her for long in the three weeks, only for a bathroom break or a nap. The naps don’t really count, seeing as Matt has been sleeping in the room on a sofa brought in by the staff. Thanksgiving has come and gone, but Matt didn’t want to celebrate. He spent the night with Abby and the others came to visit. Willow demanded them to have dinner together, and they all eat together in the hospital room. Matt was grateful for them. All of them, but he really just wanted his mate to wake up.

Sometimes Abby would trash and turn, like she was having a nightmare or inner battle. These times, Matt would crawl into bed with her, hold her close and tell her how loved she was by everyone. Especially him. His wolf has been eerily quiet ever since Abby came back from the meadow. Almost like he is hibernating until his mate is back. Matt can still feel his presence, but he is not speaking or moving.

“Matt, the Alpha of white mountain is here.” Kaiden says from the door. He hates seeing his Alpha like this, but understands. He would be the same if it was his mate laying there.

“Will you sit with her?” Matt’s hoarse voice asks. Kaiden is torn, he wants to be there for Matt in the meeting, but knows Matt wouldn’t leave Abby with anyone else for as long as that meeting can last.

“Of course. I will stay by her side until you return from the meeting and mind-link you with any change.” Kaiden concedes. Matt stands up, k****s Abby on the forehead, and turns. The haunted expression in his eyes was clear. He sighs, looks at Abby one more time before he leaves the room.

“Alpha Black, if you will follow me in here. Is this your mate?” Matt asks the dark man in front of him. The Alpha nods.

“Yes, this is my Sami. She is a hybrid, turned by me after I marked her. She is half vampire and half wolf now. Originally born as a vampire princess.” Matt sends the girl a tired smile.

“Alpha Blue, we can come back some other time. You seem distressed and tired?” Sami’s soft voice speaks up. Matt shakes his head.

“It’s just Matthew or Matt. I never was keen on the title thing. And I am tired, Luna Sami. My mate.. She is not well, and..” The words won’t come out. His hope is still that she will wake up, but he knows that by now the chance it is slim to none.

“Matthew, you can call me Benjamin and my mate Sami. We are here to help and bring forth an alliance. We stand on good terms with the Hamilton family, seeing as Sami is related to them. But if you need us to come another time..” Matt shakes his head again. He knows how important this meeting is, and Abby would want him to do it.

“I just.. I miss her, and it’s been three weeks already. I know any hope I have left, it’s a small one. Maybe a fool’s one.” Tears threaten to spill, but Matt holds them back. This will not help Abby.

“Can I see her? I don’t know if I can help her, but.. Wait, your mate’s name is Abby? What is her wolfs name?” Sami asks, eyes wide.

“Her wolfs name is Galaxy. Why?” Matt answers, not knowing why she wants to know.

“Please take me to her. Maybe I can help. If only there were others.. But even if it is just me..” The last part was said mostly to herself, but Matt catch on quickly, the star wolfs.

“You are a star wolf, aren’t you?” He asks and immediately knows he is right. Sami nods.

“Come with me.” He says and stands. He mind-links Brandon to bring Morgan to the hospital with him.

When they arrive, Morgan stands outside Abby’s room. Already prepared for the task at hand. She sensed the other star wolf when she arrived on the territory. When Matt, Benjamin and Sami arrive, Sami stops in the tracks. There before her stands another hybrid, another star wolf. Her sister in every way but b***d. They lock eyes and know they have to wait a minute before entering.

Ellie has told no one, but she and Jason finished the mating and marking. After her talk with Abby, seeing her sister being kidnapped by a goddess, return and be in a coma left her not wanting to wait. She talked to Jason a couple of days after Abby returned. She told him about her talk, her fears and her doubts. Jason was the sweetest. He listened to Ellie speak for the longest time before he silenced her with a passionate k**s.

No more words were necessary. They made love and Jason marked her. The pain was nothing like what she imagined, but worse. It started suddenly and disappeared just as suddenly. Her head then hurt a lot, like someone was banging from the inside, and then she heard the voice.

The voice had presented herself as Vega, after the brightest star in the northern sky. She was sweet and sassy, just like Ellie, and not at all disgusted by her counterpart being a demon. Vega was curious, but nothing more. She could see the true nature of her counterpart, and knew how much goodness was inside of her.

About three weeks after Abby returned, Ellie feels a pull towards Silver Mist’s pack grounds. That is not weird, since Abby and Galaxy are there, but this pull is a lot stronger.

Ellie ignores it for some time, but suddenly Vega howls of joy in her head.

‘They are here. Our sisters! We need to go to them. Together we will bring back our Queen from the claws of Keres, the dark goddess.’ Ellie runs, not even thinking or hearing as Jason yells after her.

Jason sees Ellie’s eyes glace over how they shine when her wolf speaks to her and then she is off. Jason tries to yell after her, but she clearly does not hear him. He runs after her, even though his wolf states she is needed somewhere and is not in danger.

Ellie enters the hospital only in a couple of minutes and moves to Abby’s room.

There in the hallway stand Morgan and an unknown young woman. She locks eyes with them both and knows she is home. These two young women are her family, her sisters and her soul friends. It is like their souls reach out to one another and then seek inside of the room of their leader and Queen. Ellie moves to the women, takes their hands and moves to the door. It swings open and they enter, ready to fight for their Queen and bring her back. Kaiden moves out of the room just as they enter. Feeling the strange and powerful aura emitting from his mate and the two others, he knows he can’t be in the room with them. This is not his battle, nor is it Brandon’s, Jason’s, Matt’s or the newcomer he does not know.

The door slams shut when the girls enter, and will not open before the battle has been won and the Queen is returned or all the Star wolves are gone yet again. They can hear the desperate calls from their mates, even though the guys know it is pointless, and they keep moving towards the bed.

Keres cackles.

“So, you will try to retrieve the little Queen from my world? How nice, but she is staying here where I can monitor her.” As the words leave Keres’ mouth, all three girls shift simultaneously.

They are bringing their friend and Queen back home.
