Luna's Rejected Vengeful Mate
Luna’s Rejected Vengeful Mate Chapter 14

Blake

My jaw dropped when Natalia’s wolf emerged from behind the tree. She was a white wolf, one of the few legendary Moon Goddess descendants. Through the ages, it was said that whichever pack had a white wolf was considered blessed by the Moon Goddess. The same was noted if someone mated with a white wolf.

But what about me? I had forced Natalia to marry me and planned to impose myself on her and make her my chosen Luna, mating and marking her against her will.

The turmoil of my messed-up feelings confused Aries, and my wolf stood frozen, watching Natalia walking towards us in her wolf form.

Her wolf’s taunting voice brought me back to my senses, and through Aries, I reacted growling, not accepting her remarks. No matter what, I was still the leader of all Alphas, and it needed to stay that way if we were going to succeed with our plans.

Stepping forward, Aries stood in front of the white female wolf.

“I will be in charge of the attack. White wolf or not, Natalia is still not trained to fight, and I will not take any chances that might put her life in danger. I understand that you are a special kind of wolf, Leia, but that’s something we should discuss after the attack. Please stick to our plan and the promise Natalia made to Blake. Don’t get her into fights that might force her to shift to her human form tonight.”

Leia’s dark blue eyes turned to gold for a moment. She was the most mesmerising she-wolf I had ever seen.

“Don’t worry about me, Aries. I can take care of myself and Natalia. I ask you not to reveal my talents to the other Alphas tonight. What I can do must stay a secret. I will inform you and no one else when I replace any information, okay?”

“I can understand and accept that, Leia. If possible, I don’t want you to get too close to those rogues’ hideout tonight.”

That said, Aries took the lead and moved towards the deep forest, Leia following him.

We soon found Lucas and the other Alphas gathered with their warriors, waiting for us. Their first reactions to Leia’s presence were exclamations of surprise, but they soon realised she was MINE! My scent was on her, and I proudly stood beside my woman. I knew what I was doing when I kissed her back in her room.

“Alpha Hunter, we have been waiting for you. The rogues seem to have gathered in the caves under the cliff at the end of the forest. How should we proceed?”

One of the oldest Alphas, an enormous dark grey wolf, Alpha Samuel of the Green Valley pack, took the initiative and asked.

“To start, we must approach from a safe distance and try to spy on them. Maybe the rogues will say something that can help us with our plan.” Leia’s suggestion made me turn my head and face her. She had retaken the lead, and that wasn’t good.

“Alpha Blake has already thought about this, and I’m just mentioning it on his behalf,” she continued, mind-linking me.

“Ask Lucas to stay here and my uncle James and me to follow you, Blake. We are the ones you can trust the most. Those are the caves we used to play in as kids, remember? We need to move fast, however. I feel that the rogues will talk about their plan, and I don’t want to miss the opportunity to replace out what that is.”

Leia was right. It was not the time for my ego to cloud my judgement. We needed to act fast.

“I need you to stay here, Lucas. I want Beta James and Leia to follow me. We will be back soon and decide how to proceed. If anything happens, I will contact Lucas immediately.”

After the Alphas agreed with my decision, we headed toward the cliff at the end of the forest.

“How will we hide our scents from the filthy rogues when we reach that cliff?” my question was valid, but Leia snorted and just asked James and me to stop and get close to her face. Curiosity made me take the first steps and move closer to Leia’s snout.

Leia exhaled, her hot breath touching my face and then she moved towards James’s wolf and did the same. She then stood in front of us, and her eyes turned gold.

Soon the smell of rot filled the air around us. James and I took a defensive stance to protect Leia, looking around us for rogues.

“Stop wasting time. We are the ones that smell like rogues,” Leia giggled, seeing the expression on our faces.

“Why are you looking at me like that? It was the only way we could approach the cliff without being noticed. Now let’s get it over with, okay? Just be careful not to make any sounds and reveal our presence.”

“Fu.ck, Leia, how many more tricks do you have up your sleeve?”

“Shut up, Aries, and let me do my thing.”

Blocked as I was in my wolf’s mind, I was stunned by Leia’s attitude. My wife’s wolf was not just sassy; she was an arrogant she-wolf, and I liked it. It turned me on. Was Natalia like that as well? If she was, things might turn out more interesting than I imagined.

“Blake, you are confusing me, you a*s. Keep your horny thoughts under control. I need to stay focused and spy on the rogues. You are not helping me when you think like that”, Aries swore at me, and I was embarrassed beyond measure when Leia giggled.

Suddenly, Leia stopped and pointed her ears up, listening to something. Her eyes went gold, and for a moment, spots of dark violet appeared in them.

“Aries, tell Lucas that we need to attack immediately. Their leader is with them, and if we make it quick, we may be able to catch him. That scumbag has devious plans for both our packs,” she muted her low growl by digging her snout into my fur.

“Leia, what did he say? Why are you so upset? Who is their leader?”

“Aries, for heaven’s sake, I will explain later. Just do as I say and tell them not to pay attention to what they smell on their way here. We don’t have time,” Leia mind-linked with my wolf. He did as she said, and I was confused about what Leia had heard the rogues say.

“Lucas, gather everyone and follow us here. We will attack.”

Leia turned, facing the route Lucas and the rest were taking. Aries followed her; I was curious to see what she was up to now. Her eyes turned gold again, and soon, the same smell of rot filled our surroundings, more intense this time.

I realised what Leia was doing. She polluted the air with the smell of the rogues to cover our team’s scents so they could approach without being noticed. My wolf immediately informed Lucas of the scent they would smell to avoid any mistakes on their behalf.

Leia stood there, still, until the last warrior showed up. She then turned my way and came over to us.

“Aries, tell them there are two hundred and thirty rogues, including their guards. Twenty of them are patrolling near the creek and ten around the caves. We need to take those down first, but I will need your help. I want you to lead me down there; the rest is on me.”

“What’s on your mind? Unless you tell me, I won’t take you down there. I want to know to make sure that you’ll be safe.”

“I need to get closer to ensure that the scent I have already spread in the air doesn’t evaporate. That way, we can attack and protect our warriors at the same time.”

Natalia

I listened to my wolf discussing the attack with Aries, utterly surprised by my dear Leia.

What surprised me the most was that Aries followed Leia’s advice and repeated her exact words to the rest of the Alphas and their warriors.

Aries took the lead, walking cautiously and leading me down the cliff. He would stop from time to time and check if I was following.

Leia’s eyes changed colour again, and she spread the rotting scent of rogues again. That wolf of mine was amazing!

“Stop praising me, Nat. You are making me lose focus,” Leia scoffed, and I smiled. She had taken her role seriously.

In the meantime, with my uncle’s help, Lucas quietly positioned the warriors and Alphas where Aries had ordered them to wait. The primary purpose was to attack simultaneously, creating confusion and not giving our opponents the chance to counterattack. We outnumbered the rogues, and that made things much more manageable.

The thick grass and the rotten scent Leia had spread helped us move without causing any suspicion.

Near the creek, the guards were in their human forms, talking carelessly about how their leader would have possession of my and Blake’s packs in a few days. He had promised them he would create a new pack and take them all under his protection. Until now, they had no other relationship other than the fact that they were all outcasts. After that, they could communicate like the other wolves, using a mind-link. At the moment, that was not yet possible.

My uncle, some Alphas, and warriors positioned themselves and waited for Aries’s signal. Aries, Lucas and the rest of the warriors took their places near the caves.

I asked my wolf to stay behind as Aries requested. I didn’t want to create any distractions at such a critical moment.

“I will stay back as you say, Natalia, but if I see something fishy, I’ll jump in.” Leia was not very pleased with my and Blake’s request but did as we asked.

With Aries’s signal, the attack began. The first screams of pain were heard from the brook as the guards, taken by surprise, tried to escape and transform into their wolves. Before they realised what had happened, most had drowned in pools of b***d. Their dismembered bodies were gruesome and made me want to throw up, upsetting Leia.

“You’ll get used to it, Natalia. Being away from your roots for many years has made you weak, which is why you react this way. We are doing it for our safety, Nat-it’s them or us.”

Leia was right. I was a female werewolf, and I should get used to it-I had to grow stronger for my father and our pack’s sake.

A commotion came from the caves below the cliff as soon as the rogues heard the first screams. The guards outside immediately shifted into their wolf forms.

Anxiously, I watched as Aries led the attack, with the rest following his actions and jumping the rogues that had just shifted.

When Aries, with just one bite, severed the carotid artery of one of the rogues that confronted him, a huge stinking wolf attacked him and tried to bite his right hind leg. Whipping around, Aries caught the rogue when his canines were about to sink into his thigh. He swiped at the rogue’s head with his left paw and dug his claws into the rogue’s eyes, blinding him.

B***d poured down his face as the rogue tried to flee, screaming in pain. Biting his tail, Aries threw the rogue like a rag doll against the cliff face, breaking his bones and killing him.

On the other hand, Lucas was dealing with two rogues that had cornered him, baring their canines and drooling disgustingly. Aries ran toward his Beta and gripped one of the rogues by the tail. Spinning him around like crazy, he threw him into five other rogues who attempted to attack some of our warriors. Watching the rogue flying toward them, the other five rogues stepped aside to avoid getting hit, and the flying rogue’s head bashed into a tree trunk. He was dead before his body hit the ground.

I watched as our men took the rogues down one after the other. Some of our warriors were wounded, but it was nothing serious. They kept fighting the rogues, keeping their spirits high despite their wounds.

Movement in the caves caught my attention- a muscular dark brown wolf stood still at the cave’s entrance, watching Aries fight two rogues simultaneously. His eyes were fixed on Aries and his movements. The brown wolf opened his mouth, and his canines were visible. A low growl escaped the rogue, and I thought he would attack Blake’s wolf.

Leia took a step forward, but what happened next stunned us both. The brown wolf turned the other way and ran, trying to escape. Leia hid behind the tree and watched the brown wolf. As if he knew someone was watching him, the wolf turned his head toward the tree and continued running away, ensuring no one was there.

As he ran, Leia heard him swear, “you won this time, Blake, but I’ll get you next time. That damn rogue must have told you about the attacks I planned. You can rest, for now, dear brother. I will not attack your pack tomorrow. Be prepared, however. Your dearest Drake will show up again, and nothing you can do can stop me from claiming what’s mine.”

“What the he.ll? Drake?”

I froze inside Leia’s mind. The name I had heard the rogues mention before I told Blake to attack was correct. I didn’t tell Blake anything because I thought that name mentioned was a simple coincidence. All my doubts vanished into thin air! That wolf was Blake’s younger brother, and he was the rogue leader!
