Luna's Rejected Vengeful Mate
Luna’s Rejected Vengeful Mate Chapter 56

The Dark Moon pack, California

Blake

We arrived home after our conversation with Drake and I followed Natalia up to our room. She seemed exhausted. I helped her to the bathroom and went back to our room to call Dylan. I needed his help desperately.

“Hey Blake, what’s up?” Dylan’s pleasant voice came from the other side of the line.

“Hey, Dylan. I need your help, man,” I cut to the chase, no time to lose.

“Blake, what’s the matter?” Dylan asked.

I briefed Dylan on the situation and asked for the antidote.

“I will have it prepared and deliver it to you tonight, Blake. Don’t worry,” Dylan assured me, and I disconnected the call. Natalia came back into the room, wearing a set of silk PJs. Her hair was still dripping wet.

I rushed over to her, helped her to the bed and with a dry towel, helped her dry her hair.

“Baby, please never act as irrational as you have today. Never again,” I whispered, kissing her earlobe. Natalia m****d in pleasure and ran her slim fingers through my hair, pulling me closer.

“Mm,” was all I got as a reply.

I nuzzled her back and lifted her chin, locking eyes with her.

“I mean it, babe. What if something happened to you? Don’t forget you are carrying our pup and Leia’s powers might be affected. You won’t be able to shift if something happens to you. Sorry about that, Leia,” I told my wife’s wolf, trying to avoid bickering with her.

Before Leia had the chance to react, I continued.

“Natalia, you are my most precious gem, baby. Seeing my brother today made me realise that if he hadn’t eloped with Elisabeth, I would never have had the chance to be with you. I should thank him, you know,” I told my wife and she looked at me, eyes wide open.

“What? Natalia I love you, sweetie. I love you in more ways than you can imagine. Just the thought of losing you drives me crazy. Please promise me you won’t try anything dangerous on your own, please.,” I begged, touching her rounded belly and my eyes filled with tears.

“Blake, honey, I…” she tried to explain, but I captured her lips and her words got lost in my k**s. I pulled her closer to me, deepening the k**s. Our tongues entangled, fighting for dominance. I couldn’t get enough of her. I stopped when I realised she was fighting to breathe.

“I love you too, Blake. I never thought I could love you so much, but I do. Sorry if I made you worry, baby. I promise I won’t do that again,” she whispered, breathing heavily.

“The Moon Goddess may not have fated us to be true mates, Natalia, but I would choose no other to be my mate and Luna,” I confessed and a rogue tear escaped Natalia’s eyes.

“I’ve loved you ever since I was a teenager, Blake. But then you claimed Elisabeth as your mate and that broke me. And then…”

I kissed her again, cutting her off. I let her go only when she patted my back; her face was all flushed. Again, I overdid it, kissing her continuously and leaving her without breath.

“Let’s leave the past behind and focus on our future, sweetie. When we settle everything with Ace and Teresa, let’s go on a honeymoon trip. We could go wherever you want. Just name the place and I will take you there,’ I suggested, holding her in my arms and smiling.

Natalia rested her head on my chest, her arms wrapped around my waist, pondering my words.

“What about Elisa, Blake? I can’t leave her alone and go on honeymoon,” she protested and I poked her nose playfully.

“Massimo is coming baby. Have you forgotten? He will be with us in a few hours. Keep your hopes up that he and your bestie will work things out,” I replied and helped her lie down.

“You should try to rest, baby. You had a stressful day and we will have a guest tonight. No two guests. Dylan is coming as well,” I told her, keeping Fabrizio’s arrival a surprise for her. Now, was it going to be a pleasant surprise or a bad one? Only time would show.

I waited for Natalia to fall asleep and went back to my office. Lucas and I had to talk things over and see how we would proceed after Massimo’s arrival.

We worked nonstop and soon it was time for Lucas to leave for the airport. I felt exhausted. The tension of meeting my brother, and the anxiety about Natalia’s safety left me a total mess.

I went back to our room and checked on Natalia. She was still asleep so I entered the bathroom and had a quick shower. My eyes were closed as I lay beside my wife. I drifted to dreamless sleep and woke up when Lucas mind-linked me that they were outside our territory.

I put on a pair of dark blue track pants, Natalia’s favourite, and a white t-shirt and left the room. Massimo was no stranger, and neither was Fabrizio.

I entered my office and waited for them to arrive. When they showed up and after the pleasantries, I briefed them on our replaceings. I hesitated at first, not knowing how Fabrizio would react.

The old man was determined to protect Elisa. I realised that after Massimo asked to meet her. I sent someone to call Elisa and watched as Fabrizio stood by her side, caring for her when she met Massimo. Fabrizio followed me out of my office leaving Massimo and Elisa alone, but his mind was on her. He was worried about her reaction.

“Don’t worry that much, Fabrizio. I trust Massimo,” I tried to console him and to change his mood, I went upstairs to wake Natalia up. I told my wife we had a guest and she put on a beautiful dress which flattered her rounded belly and followed me downstairs.

As soon as she saw Fabrizio in the living room, she rushed to him and hugged him, crying with joy.

Fabrizio held her in his arms, crying too, but I knew his tears were tears of joy and guilt altogether. I patted his shoulder, and he gave me a sad smile.

“How is my baby girl?” he asked Natalia and led her to sit beside him.

“I am great, zio. I missed you so much,” Natalia admitted, laying in his arms like a little girl.

“I missed you two, my child,” he replied caressing my wife’s hair.

As if remembering something, Natalia looked at me and mind-linked me.

“Does my uncle know about…”

“Yeah, baby. He knows, and he is here to stop her,” I replied and Natalia hugged Fabrizio tighter.

“Uncle…” she tried to say but Fabrizio stopped her.

“Not now, Natalia. I know what you want to say, but let me enjoy your presence tonight. We can talk tomorrow, he suggested and my wife obeyed instantly.

“Wow, Fabrizio. You should teach me how to do that with my wife. She never obeys me that way,” I teased and Natalia pulled her tongue out and snuggled in Fabrizio’s arms, who laughed wholeheartedly.

Lucas came into the room, informing me of Dylan’s arrival. I left with Lucas and returned to the living room with Dylan.

“I see your beautiful bride is happy today,” Dylan teased a smiling Natalia and she smiled back.

“Dylan, let me introduce you to my uncle. Fabrizio took care of me when I went to Italy. He is my dad’s best friend and a second father to me,” she announced proudly.

“I can see the connection,” Dylan smiled and turned to me.

“Blake, can I have a word with you?”

We went to Natalia’s office since Massimo and Elisa occupied mine.

Opening his briefcase, Dylan took out a respectful number of vials and handed them over to me.

“Here are the vials with the antidote, Blake. I have prepared three doses for each of you. Starting tonight, you must take one each. My grandmother said that Elisa should take the antidote too. She is carrying a werewolf’s baby and the antidote will protect the baby and her. Her vials are slightly different,” he said and gave me three vials with a different liquid inside.

“Elisa is human and my grandmother added extra ingredients to the antidote made for her,’ Dylan explained and I took the vials separating them from the rest.

“Massimo arrived with Fabrizio, Dylan. He is talking to Elisa as we speak. If he clears the misunderstanding with her, he will convince her to take the antidote. He and Natalia are Elisa’s closest people,’ I told my friend.

“What about Fabrizio?” Dylan asked and I gave him a sad smile.

“Fabrizio is Teresa’s father, Dylan. His daughter’s betrayal devastated him and he came with Massimo, determined to stop her from harming Elisa and her baby,” I explained.

Dylan’s face revealed the shock he felt at my explanation.

“I know what you are thinking, Dylan. I share the same thoughts with you, but Fabrizio’s behaviour toward Elisa shows nothing more than pure fatherly concern. His intentions are pure,” I assured my friend and he patted me on the shoulder reassuringly.

“Don’t worry Blake. Whatever you need, I will be by your side. And so will my grandmother, you know that. Let’s talk about your plans after dinner. That way I will know what you need and my grandmother and I will help you pull it off,” Dylan proposed.

“I can’t thank you enough, Dylan,” I told my friend and we returned to the living room where Natalie was with Fabrizio.

I found my wife chatting with her uncle. She had a smile on her face and my heart leapt inside my chest. She looked like an angel. My angel.

I went to her and kissed her forehead.

“Are you having a good time, sweetie?” I asked and she smiled, her eyes shining.

“Yes, baby, thanks to you,” she smiled and I kissed her again.

“I better check on Massimo and Elisa,” I said, leaving my wife alone with her favourite uncle and Dylan.
