Luna's Rejected Vengeful Mate
Luna’s Rejected Vengeful Mate Chapter 65

The Dark Moon pack, California

Blake

I left Drake and Elisabeth in the room and headed to my office with Lucas. I had to deal with the culprits one by one and I would start with Ace. I informed my Beta of the recent developments and explained the new plan to him.

“Lucas, get me the alliance contract Ace and I signed,” I said before taking a seat behind my desk. I had to call that a*s. hole and pretend that nothing was wrong. He shouldn’t suspect anything.

I picked up the contract, gave it a look and then called Ace.

“Hello? Blake?” Ace sounded wary on the other side of the line. Was he still suspicious? If that was the case, I had to act well to deceive that piece of s**t.

“Hey, Ace. Sorry I took so long to call you back, man. I had too many meetings with the insurance company about the accident we had a while ago. They pester me all the time, trying to reduce the amount they have to pay to the victims. Unbelievable what others do for money,” I concluded and waited for his reply.

“Oh, I see. I hope everything goes well,” Ace replied and I snickered.

“Thanks, Ace. Back to our business. You said you needed the money transfer sooner than agreed. When do you need it?” I asked casually and there was dead silence on the other side of the line.

“Ace?” I smiled viciously. The guy wasn’t expecting my reply.

“Em, how soon can you make the transfer, Blake?” he asked cautiously.

“I can talk to my banker tomorrow morning. I don’t think it will take more than a couple of days, two to three days at most. Would that be okay with you?” I continued with the same attitude and I felt Ace relax.

“That would be great. Thanks, Blake. You are a lifesaver,” he replied and I sneered inside.

“Don’t worry, Ace, I will save your life for sure,” I mocked him mentally.

“Okay then, I will be in touch after I talk to my banker tomorrow. I’d better leave you now, Ace. I have work to do,” I said and ended the call.

“That went well,” I told Lucas and then called Jacob, my Gamma into my office and briefed him about everything.

“I am going down to the pack dungeons and I want you to bring Emma to me. Lucas, go to her and tell her that a prisoner we caught today isn’t feeling well. And Jacob, you make sure that there are no guards around for at least an hour,” I instructed.

After my men left, I headed to Fabrizio’s room. I wanted to check on the older man. He had been very upset after Natalia left the packhouse with Elisa.

On my way to the second floor, I had an encounter with my father. He had returned from the Moon Howler’s pack where he had visited Natalia’s father.

“Hey, son, what’s the rush?” he asked when he saw me storming up the stairs.

“Nothing, dad. I wanted to check on Fabrizio. He wasn’t feeling well today,” I lied.

“Where’s Natalia, son? I haven’t seen her around,” my father asked.

“Mm, she went out with Elisa, dad. They might only come back late tonight,” I replied and walked away. I didn’t want to keep lying to my father.

I entered Fabrizio’s room and found him pacing like a caged animal. The moment he saw me, he rushed over.

“Are the girls all right? Did anything happen to them?” he asked anxiously.

“Yes, Fabrizio, they are fine and settled at the motel; and we solved the misunderstanding. Don’t worry. They’ll be staying there for a few days, but they are safe. Massimo stayed with them,” I assured him.

“Massimo? What if Teresa sees him, Blake?” Fabrizio was worried.

“Don’t worry, Fabrizio. He won’t show his face. Teresa won’t know he is staying there.”

“Blake, Emma is down in the dungeons. We are waiting for you,” Lucas mind-linked with me.

“I’ll be right there,” I replied and turned to Fabrizio.

“Something’s come up and I need to leave again, Fabrizio. I promise, nothing will happen to Natalia or Elisa,” I said and walked to the door.

“Ah, Blake, your friend the doctor came and I told him of what happened. Sorry if I put you in a difficult position. I was too upset at that time,” Fabrizio told me and I smiled at him.

“You have been a great help, Fabrizio. Thank you.” After leaving the room, I headed to the dungeons.

I found Jacob waiting for me at the entrance.

“I’ll stay here just in case someone shows up,” he informed me and I agreed.

Lucas and Emma were inside a cell waiting for me. Emma seemed frightened.

“Blake what…”

“Shut up. I ask the questions here,” I growled and Emma lowered her head in submission.

“Now, why don’t you tell me where you met Ace Jones? What did he promise you to help him, and betray your Alpha?” I used my Alpha tone on her and she cowered in fear in a corner.

“Who’s Ace Jones?’” She whimpered and I took two steps closer to her, pinning her to the wall, my hands around her neck.

“Don’t you dare lie to me bit.ch! You know very well who I am talking about. Now, talk. Where did you meet him?”

“I don’t know the man Blake, I swear. I never met him,” Emma cried and I squeezed her neck, choking her.

“Don’t lose it, Blake. I believe she is telling the truth. Something else is up. Let her speak and then you can do whatever you want with her. Let’s see what she knows first. And what she exactly said to Ace,” Aries advised.

This was the first he had spoken to me since he told Leia off back at the motel. My wolf was right. I shouldn’t let her suspect that I knew she was Ace’s snitch. Releasing her throat I continued.

“Who asked you to spy on me, then? What’s his name?”

“How do you…”

“I said I ask the questions here, mutt. Now talk, who asked you to snitch on me?” I half shifted to Aries and Emma pissed herself in fear. Disgusting. And to think I f****d that woman, I thought.

“His name is Drake. Blake, you shouldn’t trust Natalia so much. I will be honest with you, okay? Just don’t kill me. I will tell you everything. Timothy told me what happened between you and Natalia. That Drake guy Natalia mentioned today approached me at your mating ceremony and promised to help me get you back. I know it sounds stupid, but I trusted him,” she said in one breath, her eyes full of tears.

“All he wanted from me was to report Natalia’s movements to him,” she continued crying.

What on earth was she talking about? Drake never showed up in my pack, especially during my mating ceremony.

“Ask her what he looked like, Blake. I have the feeling that Ace faked Drake’s identity,” Aries told me, but I didn’t need my wolf to figure out what happened.

“What did he look like, Emma?” I asked, holding my breath, disgusted by the smell of her urine.

“He was short and ugly with tiny eyes. Since then, he has been threatening to tell you that I had become his snitch. And now your wife asked for his help. Blake, there must be a connection between him and Natalia,” Emma tried to come closer but I stopped her with a growl.

“I was right,” Aries said. “Ace used Drake’s identity to fool that bit.ch.”

“And all that time, Emma thought she was reporting to Drake. So if she got caught like she did today, she would accuse Drake and Ace would be off the hook,” I concluded my wolf’s thoughts.

That cunning bast.ard, I thought.

Ignoring Emma, I turned to Lucas.

“Lock her up and put silver chains on her wrists. I don’t want her running away before we finish what we started.”

“What are you going to do with me? Blake, no. Please don’t. I am sorry, okay? Please forgive me, Blake. All I did, was out of love for you. Please.” Emma’s cries followed me to the exit.

“What are you planning to do with her?” Lucas asked when he caught up with me outside where Jacob waited.

“That’s for Natalia to decide. I will give my wife the pleasure of dealing with her,” I replied.

“Jacob, I want the dungeons sealed. Only you, Lucas and I will enter for now. Tell the guards to take a few days off. We don’t have any prisoners besides Emma, anyway,” I instructed and Jacob double-locked the iron doors.

I turned to Lucas.

“Take Jacob and go back to Elisabeth’s room. Jacob, I want you responsible for her safety. Go see where she is staying and arrange our most trusted men to be on guard. Don’t hint about what’s happening to anyone. The rest of the rooms are empty on that floor, so they can stay in the one that interleads to Elisabeth’s room,” I told my Gamma.

“Don’t worry, Alpha. I will get to it right away,” Jacob replied and left with Lucas.

I needed some time alone. That dirtbag, Ace, had thought of everything. If something went wrong with his plan to take me down, he would blame everything on Drake and free himself of any suspicion. And he would get the chance to plan another attack.

“I will kill the son of a bit.ch. I will rip his heart out and eat it,” Aries growled menacingly.

“Soon, Aries, soon,” I told my wolf and proceeded to the packhouse. Drake had to leave and go back to the motel. I would tell Lucas to drive him to his car.

I entered the packhouse and proceeded to Elisabeth’s room. Jacob and Lucas were standing in the corridor, waiting for me. I walked to them.

“Is everything settled, Jacob?”

“Yes, Blake. I have informed our men. They will come to your office for further instructions in half an hour and watch over Elizabeth as you asked. I thought I should give you time to clear things up here first. You know what I mean. How can you stand being in the same room with him, man? The way he betrayed you…” he hissed.

“Jacob. Don’t forget what we said. No one must replace out about this. We will talk after things settle down,” I stopped my Gamma. He had every right to be upset with Drake. Jacob, Timothy and Lucas stood by my side, not backing off until I was back on my feet again after what had happened back then. He had watched me being miserable and broken. That was why I allowed him to talk like that.

“Lucas, go to my car. I will bring Drake there. Drive him to the company’s private parking lot. He needs to go back to the motel tonight,” I explained.

I entered the room and found the doctor examining Elisabeth.

“You must leave now, Drake. Lucas will drive you to your car. We need to move fast before anyone sees you,” I told my brother and waited for him outside.

When Drake came out, I led the way to the back door walking in long strides. I felt Drake walking at the same pace behind me. I turned the corner in the corridor and suddenly there was silence. Drop dead silence. What the hell? I turned back and Drake was gone. Where did he go? He was behind me seconds ago.

A muffled sound led me to the room it came from. I barged in just in time to stop my father from attacking an already injured Drake. He must have punched him in the face.

“Dad, stop,” I told my father.

He turned to me, his eyes full of fury.

“How dare you bring that traitor back into our house, Blake? Have you forgotten what he did to you, to us?” His body trembled with anger, or shock at seeing my brother after such a long time.

“Great, just great.” I rubbed my nose, annoyed.

“Dad, let me get him out of here and I promise I will explain everything to you, okay? Trust me on this one. I know what I am doing,” I told my father.

“Get him out of my sight,” my father growled and I saw pain flushing in Drake’s eyes.

“Come, we need to move,” I told my brother who stood up and walked towards the door with his head lowered, not looking at our dad.

We walked in silence. When we were finally out of the house, I checked my brother’s face. There was a bruise where my father punched him.

“If it doesn’t heal by the time you are back at the motel, tell them you fought with someone at the hospital for taking your turn to see the doctor,” I said indifferently. Drake nodded and entered the car.

“Please don’t let dad hurt Ellie and the baby, Blake. Let’s win this and he can do whatever he wants to me. But not to Ellie and my baby,” he begged, tears running down his face.

“Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to them. I give you my word,” I replied and entered the packhouse.

“And now, I must deal with my father,” I whispered exasperatedly.

“That will be a tough one,” Aries said and I couldn’t agree more.

s**t! Why did it have to be now?
