Jaxon sent Anastasia a message, asking if she needed help.

She quickly replied: [No, thanks. I'll be right back.]

She collected her thoughts. As soon as she walked out, she saw Romy, who had stood up and was about to leave.

The moment their eyes met, Romy's expression changed.

She knew Anastasia had heard everything just now.

Anastasia wanted to walk over as if nothing had happened. But Romy grabbed her arm, her calm expression showing a bit of nervousness, and her eyes were wandering. "Ms. Graves, what have you heard?"

Just as Anastasia was about to speak, she saw Jaxon walk out from inside.

"I was worried if you were in trouble. Glad to see you are fine," he said.

As elegant as before, Anastasia smiled naturally and said, "I met an acquaintance on the way. We talked, so I got delayed."

Jaxon checked the time on his watch and said calmly, "It's almost time. Shall I take you back?"

Anastasia nodded.

Romy wanted to say something else, but Anastasia didn't give her this chance. She left with Jaxon.

She was not interested in the secrets between Romy and Beatrice. Naturally, she wouldn't have any interaction with them.

"Emma, when did you come? Do you need anything?"

She said bluntly, "Anastasia, why were you out with Jaxon alone? Shouldn't you distance yourself from him?

"Why did he open the door for you? If you go in and out together like this, people will misunderstand you. Don't you think you have failed Chris?"

Anastasia put away her smile, looked at her quietly, and said with an alienated attitude, "I've said it many times. I divorced him a long time ago, and I won't fail him no matter who I'm with!"
