Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call -
Chapter 160
Chapter 160 A Misunderstanding
While Anastasia was still hesitating, Romy immediately said, "I won't hurt the child. It's Christian's son, and I don't dare." Anastasia pressed her lips and said, "Let me think about it."
She pushed the door open and left. After coming out of the hospital, she was a little absent-minded.
A black Bentley car was parked on the side of the road. Its rear window was suddenly rolled down.
"Anastasia."
Anastasia saw the solemn and noble Christian in the car.
"Has he been waiting here?" She thought.
This time, Christian got out of the car instead of sitting in the car and waiting stupidly.
But before she could speak, Anastasia walked over, bypassed him, and got on the seat on the other side.
Christian's heart skipped a beat, and a smile played on his lips.
He was overjoyed, thinking she finally couldn't help getting back to him.
But she asked him coldly, "Have you seen Beatrice's mother?"
Christian's smile faded away in an instant.
He stared at her and said, "You still mind her. She will go abroad in a few days and won't bother us anymore."
He thought she mentioned Beatrice because Beatrice could still hurt her feelings.
So he stated his plan directly.
Anastasia looked at his stern side face and said, "You have been together for so many years. You should have seen each other's parents, shouldn't you?"
Christian's face fell. He thought she still minded Beatrice.
He didn't want to bring up the past and replied coldly, "No."
He had indeed never met Beatrice's mother and only knew that she had settled abroad and married a foreigner.
Beatrice was alone, which was one of the reasons why he had taken so much care of her back then.
Anastasia paused, hesitating whether to tell Christian what had happened just now.
But Christian grabbed her wrist and said with a low and restrained tone, "Anastasia, let bygones be bygones, okay? I'll let her leave here, and please don't always care about it. Let's understand and tolerate each other, okay?"
Anastasia suddenly felt Christian thought she couldn't let things go and was being dramatic.
She thought, in Christian's mind, she was narrow-minded and drove away the woman he couldn't be over.
She thought Christian was asking her to tolerate Beatrice.
Anastasia felt an inexplicable annoyance.
"Christian, what's your problem? Don't send her away if you don't want to. I won't object to you marrying her. Don't act like you have sacrificed too much for me and feeling wronged. I won't thank you either." Christian's face was sullen. He stared at her with complicated emotions and a bit of fatigue.
After a long time, he suppressed the sadness surging up in his heart, stared at her, and said slowly, "Okay, I made my own decision. Anastasia, you should be fair. How much more should I pay for my mistakes?"
Anastasia smiled suddenly and showed an unprecedentedly indifferent look.
She said, "No one asks you to pay. As I said, we're even."
She didn't want to dwell on the past because it was unfair to be miserable alone.
There was a dead silence in the car.
The driver dared not make a sound and just drove slowly.
Anastasia suddenly said, "Is your son with Beatrice now?"
She worried that if she didn't do it, Romy would take the initiative to replace that child.
As a result, Christian misunderstood.
Christian's eyes became gloomy.
"Anastasia, don't get the child involved in the adults' affairs. Don't touch him!" he said, and his tone was tinged with little unhappiness and nervousness.
Anastasia frowned and gave him a serious yet unfamiliar look. Then her face turned cold.
He first suspected that she would do something to hurt his child.
In his mind, she was probably a vicious woman who would do anything for revenge!
She didn't expect that she would be so bad in his eyes.
It seemed that they couldn't even live in peace.
She knocked on the car door and said indifferently, "Stop the car."
