Chapter 177 A Terrible Drama

Lamia's face gradually turned icy, unable to control her emotions any longer.

How could Anastasia, that vile woman, play a more aggrieved role than Lamia?

Lamia had intended to tread on her to create the image of a loving mother-in-law, but Anastasia ruined it!

Lamia's face turned pale with anger. She glared at Anastasia and approached Jane, putting on a hypocritical smile.

"If it were you, you would surely get along with me. You come from a good family and are capable, and with you at home, Christian would feel secure in dedicating himself to his work." "When you two get married..."

Before she could finish, Christian's cold voice suddenly sounded from behind, filled with restrained anger.

"Who's getting married?"

Lamia paused, turning her head to look at him, and said,

"Christian, this is Ms. Martinez I told you about. She's a pianist, and despite her young age, she has won countless awards.

"You went to pick her up last time. You must have gotten along well..."

Christian impatiently cut her off, and said,

"The driver picked her up last time. I was busy. I didn't have time to go."

Lamia was shocked, and just about to get angry.

Jane immediately smiled and said, "What's important is the matter. No matter who picks someone up, there will always be another chance to meet."

She smiled at Christian, her eyes betraying an unusual emotion.

"Christian, do you remember me? I'm Jane Martinez, your high school classmate."

Christian's eyes darkened, his tone cold.

"No, I don't remember."

He finished, turning to look at Anastasia, who had not yet come out of her role, especially her reddened eyes. Christian's heart tightened.

He walked over and grabbed her wrist, glaring coldly at Lamia.

"I've said it before, who I marry is my business and no one else's."

With that, he left with Anastasia.

Lamia was furious, unable even to hold her wine glass steady.

Jane's face, however, turned awkward and gloomy.

People around looked at each other.

"That Anastasia knows what she's doing!"

"Exactly, still hooking up even after the divorce. She's quite something!"

"Jane, you won't lose to her!"

Jane forced a smile, looking at their retreating figures, not saying anything, only a feeling of jealousy growing silently inside her. Christian had divorced Anastasia, broken up with Beatrice, and his illegitimate child was gone. Wasn't it the best time for her now? She raised an eyebrow and said to the crowd,

"Excuse me."

Christian led Anastasia away, and the quiet corridor lights twinkled.

He initially thought she had been bullied to tears by a group of people, so he was furious.

He turned and looked at her. Her eyes were cold as she frowned at him.

Christian pinched her soft wrist, but before he knew it, she had pulled away and went to the women's bathroom to wash her hands.

Christian's heart turned cold.

At that moment, he heard the front suddenly erupt into chaos.

Emma shouted, "Chris, that vile Beatrice is here!"

Christian's eyes darkened, and he hurried to the front.

Anastasia heard the commotion and followed.

She saw Beatrice tearing at Jane's clothes like a mad woman.

Jane, delicate and frail, was no match for her.

Suddenly,

Beatrice fiercely pushed her onto a pyramid-shaped stack of wine glasses, sending them crashing to the floor.

Jane lay amidst the broken glass, her dress, and arms stained with blood.

It was a terrible drama.
