Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3171 Helen Flips Out

"Mr. Larson, we need you urgently in the Martial League." A disciple from Basha's Sacred Mount, dressed in black, entered the room and respectfully addressed Matthew.

"What for?" Matthew, who had been feeding Sasha an orange, looked puzzled as the disciple approached.

"A body was found in the river outside the city, covered in wounds. It appears to be a case of assault followed by murder."

Matthew nodded and replied, "You all head back. I'll check it out in a bit."

"Understood. We'll leave you to handle it, Mr. Larson." The disciple gave a knowing look before leaving the room.

Helen, who had been watching from a distance, immediately stiffened at the disciple's departing words and the look exchanged between them. As soon as the disciple left, she stormed up to Matthew, her face livid. "Matthew, what's going on here? What kind of relationship do you have with that man?"

The disciple, who had just reached the courtyard, paused for a moment and exchanged glances with the others. Though they were elite disciples of Basha's Sacred Mount and didn't appreciate Helen's loud voice, they remained silent. After all, this was a family matter for Matthew. Even if they felt slighted by Helen's outburst, they wouldn't say anything. If it weren't for Matthew's status, anyone who insulted them like this would've lost an arm by now.

Inside, Matthew was just as bewildered, looking at Helen's furious face. "He's just a disciple from Basha's Sacred Mount, Mom, but it's complicated. It's hard to explain it all at once."

Even though Matthew had refused Lucius' forced marriage arrangement, the entire Basha's Sacred Mount still insisted on calling him 'Mr. Larson,' likely because of Lucius' orders. But there was no way Matthew could explain to Helen that he had been kidnapped and nearly forced into marriage, so he tried to steer the conversation away.

"Don't play dumb with me! Why is he calling you Mr. Larson with that kind of look? I think you're just tired of Sasha and have a mistress outside!"

Helen's sharp voice echoed throughout the villa. Matthew took a deep breath, suppressing his frustration, and calmly said, "Mom, how about you sit down, and I'll explain everything to you."

Helen continued to shout, "Explain what? He's already giving you looks openly, and you think there's still something to explain?"

"It's really just a misunderstanding,"

Matthew said, helplessly trying to explain It felt like Helen wasn't listening at all. No matter how much he tried to clarify, she refused to hear him out.

"Huh, you've really grown a pair, Matthew. You're fed up with Sasha, aren't you? Fine, I'll take Sasha with me today, you ungrateful jerk!" Helen's voice grew more piercing, and her words became increasingly harsh.

Matthew clenched his fists but eventually let them drop. At the end of the day, Helen was Sasha's mother, and no matter what, he had to endure it. Seeing Matthew remain silent, Helen's voice grew even louder. "Didn't you say you wanted to explain? Go ahead, say something! Or are you too guilty to speak?" Amid Helen's sharp and grating voice, a soft voice interrupted.

Ugh!

Sasha, who had at some point crouched by the trash can, was retching uncontrollably.

Matthew quickly moved from the sofa to her side, gently patting her back. "Sasha, what's wrong?"

After a moment, Sasha lifted her head and took the warm water Matthew offered to rinse her mouth before speaking. "I don't know. I've been feeling dizzy and weak for the past couple of days. I can't stand greasy food; it makes me nauseous, and I only have an appetite for sour and sweet things like oranges."

Hearing Sasha's description, Matthew compared her symptoms in his mind, and a thought filled with joy suddenly popped into his head. "Morning sickness!"
