Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3258 The Gloam Division's Redemption

As the first light of dawn crept over Montiria, its citizens were met with an astonishing sight. The streets, televisions, and radios were suddenly filled with a scene that left everyone in disbelief. Gloam Division agents had appeared everywhere-masked and holding signs high above their heads.

"Former Commander Kurtis Hale of the Gloam Division committed numerous atrocities, unjustly accusing Cathay Summit Warden Matthew Larson, and inflicting harm on our own citizens. These actions led to economic and social turmoil throughout Montiria. Here, the new Commander Rocco Santon of the Gloam Division acknowledges that, given Montiria's current state, we must..."

The message blared from loudspeakers that echoed across every corner of Montiria, leaving the public stunned. There were two key points from the lengthy broadcast.

First, the once-feared Gloam Dogs were now bowing to the public will.

Second, the new commander, Rocco Santon, didn't sound like a tyrant they had come to expect.

Thus, despite Rocco's reluctant approach, he was beginning to redeem the notorious Gloam Division's tarnished image.

High above the bustling streets, Mortimer and a cadre of wealthy businessmen observed the unfolding spectacle in a luxurious hotel suite. Mortimer's eyes narrowed as he turned to Maurice, who was leisurely sipping wolfberry tea. "Have the Gloam Division forces withdrawn from Thorneville?"

Maurice crunched a wolfberry between his teeth before replying, "Yes, Mr. Zedler. Our sources confirm that Thorneville's utilities have been fully restored, and not a single Gloam Division agent remains."

Mortimer's lips were filled with a satisfied smile. "Excellent. We can finally contact Matthew and have him come over." He pulled out his phone and dialed Matthew's number.

"Mortimer," Matthew's voice crackled through the speaker, "have the issues in Montiria been resolved?" At that moment, he was at the foot of Basha's Sacred Mount.

Delmont had called Matthew while

he was still in Hulwin the previous

night, informing him that everything had been settled. The Gloam

Division soldiers had wel.ne

from Thorneville, and the long-disrupted utilities had been restored.

Although Matthew was still unclear about the details, he suspected it was related to Mortimer and his chamber of commerce. With his urgent quest to replace Sasha, he traveled swiftly toward Montiria's

border and arrived at Basha's Sacred

Mount.

"Are you done with your matters?" asked Matthew.

"Hey, Matthew," Mortimer replied, his voice tinged with triumph, "everything has been settled. The Gloam Division has cleared your name. You're free to come and go in Montiria as you wish."

Though he had anticipated some resolution, Matthew couldn't suppress a small smile. "Thank you, Mortimer. How did you manage to resolve it so quickly? What's the current situation with the Gloam Division?" Mortimer's laugh was cold and sharp. "Let's just say that when night falls, even the fiercest dogs can be tamed if you take away their food."

Matthew fell silent, unsure how to respond, but Mortimer seemed in a rare mood for jesting.

"Ha! You haven't changed a bit. We now control 30% of Dominion Bank's assets. We simply cut off their funds if they don't meet our terms. Under such pressure, their new commander had no choice but to agree to our demands."

Matthew hung up the phone as the

conversation wrapped up, his thoughts turning to his missing wife, Sasha. The latest reports had placed her somewhere in Montiria, and now, with the way clear, he could finally track her down. He needed answers-why had she left? What could have been so severe that she couldn't face it with him?

With resolve hardening in his heart and a whirlwind of questions in his mind, Matthew set his sights on Montiria.

Montiria, I'm coming.
