Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3339 It's Raining

It was raining in Dewsbury.

The sky quickly darkened, and a drizzle started to fall, catching pedestrians off guard. People hurried their steps to avoid getting soaked while ants scurried around, washed away, and left homeless.

The ants seemed confused, as they hadn't felt any moisture before the sudden downpour. The trees lining the streets looked revitalized, their leaves shimmering with the rain. Birds settled on the branches, seeking cover from the shower. On Cobblestone Lane, Matthew, clad in white, carried a black umbrella while strolling with Cole.

Tap-tap... The rain created a soothing rhythm.

Cole peered through the thin veil of rain, excitement dancing in his eyes as he reached out to touch it. The chilly water startled him, and he quickly pulled his hand back.

"Mr. Larson, aren't we going back to the hotel?" Cole asked, noticing they were going in the wrong direction.

Matthew glanced up at the rain and replied, "I have some important business at the Martial League. You'll need to stay inside and behave while I'm there."

Cole nodded, understanding that he would only be a distraction if he followed Matthew.

The scent of rain filled the air, growing stronger as the drizzle turned into a heavier downpour. It felt like the world was anticipating an approaching storm. Meanwhile, the air was filled with a frantic scream from within the Mirren Estate.

"Why does Matthew always come out on top? Why does he have everything going for him? You're all nothing but worthless trash! Just a bunch of spineless cowards relying on the family legacy handed down to you!"

Glaucus' eyes blazed with fury as he pointed an accusatory finger at the heads of the families surrounding him.

"You, from the Watson Family-do you really think you can climb to the top in Dewsbury? That's ridiculous!"

"And you, Leigh Family? What a letdown! Your new generation is full of losers, and your family is bound to crumble when you're gone!"

He continued his tirade, showing no concern for the sour looks on their faces. "Calbhach, even your staff are useless! They can't even handle a simple task without screwing it up!" The heavy rain pounding outside only fueled Glaucus' anger.

He fixed a heated glare on Calbhach, asking, "Now tell me, what are we supposed to do? Will your worthless staff choose to die rather than give up your secrets?"

Fear etched itself deep in Glaucus' eyes. He was scared-scared of continuing this fight against Matthew. He was running out of options.

When the representative from the

Cathay Watkins Family heard Glaucus rant, they didn't hesitate to leave. They only said a cold warning, "You're destined to lose. Just wait for your downfall."

Stunned, Glaucus watched them walk away.

Calbhach saw the panic in Glaucus' bloodshot eyes and pressed his lips together, unable to speak. He knew his staff too well; they were only loyal for the money. If danger struck, they'd bail on him without a second thought.

That was the risk of building on such shaky ground-he had no real allies. He feared that his so-called loyal staff had already turned against him.
