Married By Mistake
Chapter 13

LUNA

“I’ll fetch you,” Dylan says authoritatively on the other line. I went to a salon branch because I hadn’t visited the salon for a long time.

“Don’t. I know you have a lot to do in the office.” I said. I waved to the taxi that passed and it stopped in front of me. “I’m okay.”

“Well, I’m not. Your car is in coding, I’m not comfortable with you commuting.”

I took a deep breath. I’m already in the taxi. “I’ve done this so many times, D.”

“I’m on my way.” I heard the engine of his car sound.

“Huh? I’m already in a taxi.”

“so? get down.” I gasped when I noticed the irritation in his voice. “Go back to the boutique.”

“But your office works.” Okay. I’m trying to be in denial.

“All I have there are f*****g useless papers. I want you safe. Now, do what I say. I’ll spank you when I don’t catch you at the boutique.”

“Oh, I’m so scared. Okay, fine.” I sighed. I looked at the driver. I didn’t take my phone away so Dylan could hear me following him. “Manong, please go back to the boutique.”

“Yes ma’am.” Manong immediately turned around.

“Satisfied?” I said to Dylan.

He chuckled. “Yeah. Give me three minutes.”

I paid the taxi driver before getting off. I sat on the bench and waited for Dylan. I watched the young people go in and out of the newly opened bar, not far from where my shop stood. Teenagers.

I turned my gaze to the black car parked in front of me. I didn’t wait for Dylan to get off, I immediately got in his passenger seat.

“Let’s go,” I order.

His forehead furrowed. “Are you mad?”

“No.” I simply said. Nothing. I just want to annoy him with my monosyllabic.

He placed his arm on the headrest of my chair and one of its hands touched my hand that was above my thigh. “How’s your day? Are you tired?”

I shrugged. “Good.”

“You’re mad.” His l*p came close to my ear. I felt him smell my hair. “Why are you mad at me? You don’t want me to take care of you?”

I grab his polo. “D, I just don’t want to bother you because I know you’re tired.”

“Is that it? You are worried about me? Good God, Luna.” I held my breath as his head went down my neck. “You’re overthinking.”

“I’m not.”

he laughed softly and stepped away from me.

“Come here. Sit on my lap.”

My eyebrows met. “I’m not your dog.”

“Again, don’t overthink things, sweetheart.” He pulled my two arms and sat me on top of his thigh. He wrapped his arms around my waist. “Let’s talk… Tell me how mad you are.”

“Mad enough —-” He moved closer and kissed the hell out of me, his tongue sliding into my mouth. I was gasping for air when he finally pulled away, surprised by his take-charge attitude. I placed my hands on his shoulders and leaned closer to brush my lips over his.

“I miss your sweet lips. What did you eat? I can taste chocolate.”

“Hershey cake.” I fail to say.

I m****d as he inserted both hands into my blouse and squeezed my chest. “That’s too much sugar. Calories. Let’s get you to sweat.”

“Wait —” I whimpered, clung to the back of his neck. His mouth tasted like peanut butter and alcohol, and his hair smelled like lavender, the sweet scent teasing my senses. “N-No ..”

“You don’t want me to touch you?”

I moved away from him a bit and kissed him on the cheek. “Not really. I have red days.”

“When’s will it stop?”

“Sunday,” I said softly.

“Four more days?” He leaned back in the chair. He caressed my cheeks. “You have cramps?”

I shook.

“So that explains why you’re so moody and love eating chocolate.”

“It’s natural.” That’s really how women are. It’s normal.

“Let’s go home and take a rest.” He slaps my butt softly.

I adjusted my seat and he started the car. I talked about the rising sales of my shop because of the many people who wear their wedding dresses with us. When will I be able to wear that? We also ate outside so I wouldn’t have to cook. He doesn’t want me to get tired. When we got home Dylan immediately went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. I have prepared his boxer shorts and sleeping shirt.

I looked away when my phone rang. I immediately approached to answer that.

Unknown number?

“Hello?”

“Hello, my sweet Luna.” Sky!

“Skyler?” Why is he calling me?

“Glad you still recognize my voice.” He sigh. “By the way, I took your number from Trey. I just called to say … ‘Good Bye’. I’m going back to the states tomorrow because we have a contest. Can I see you now?”

I can’t. I sat on the bed with the phone in my ear. “Sky, I wish you luck. I will always watch your match and support you. But… I can’t see you right now.”

“Why? Why don’t you want to leave your husband’s side? He’s always hurting you, always making you cry. Luna, you’ve suffered enough.” I heard the agony in his voice.

I was to blame for why he was hurting.

I sighed. “Skyler, I love my husband. I don’t want to hurt you but that’s the truth. Please, understand.”

“I don’t know you anymore. I’m the one you run to when people around you hurt you. I’m always by your side. Why can’t you love me back ?! I did everything!” His voice trembled.

“I don’t deserve you, Skyler.” It’s the truth.

“Why don’t you f*****g deserve me ?! Tell me, Luna. Why ?! I love you so much it hurts. Please, come with me. I can make you so dam-n happy.” He Shouts it out.

“I’m sorry.” I looked up to avoid tears in my eyes. “You’ll replace a lot more other women, Sky.”

“I’m stuck with you. I can’t move on. I love you that much.” I heard his sobs. “Please, come with me, babe.”

“You … You’re a good guy, Sky. I’m so happy that I met you. You’re the greatest best friend I ever have. Good luck with your big game. Have a safe trip.”

Before he could speak, I put down my phone and turned it off.

“That’s melodramatic.”

I gasped. I looked at Dylan who was now standing by my side. I cleared my throat. “Are you still there?”

Oh, no. Is he mad? But, I… I’m not flirting with Sky. How far did he hear? Is he going to hurt me?

“Don’t be nervous, Love. I’m not mad besides I’m so dam-n happy. You choose to be with me than to be with him. Thank you, Love.” He sat next to me. I felt relieved when he said that. He’s not mad. I’m glad. He raised my hand and kissed me. “Can I k**s you now?”

I raised an eyebrow and hovered over its body. He’s half-naked and only a towel around his waist covers him. “You’re naked.”

“I want to sleep naked. It’s so hot right now. Does it bother you?”

“No, of course not.” I faked a smile. “You’ll sleep on the floor.”

He stood up and let go of my hand. “Where did you put my boxer shorts? I can’t replace it.”
