As Brielle approached the assortment of medications, a lot of things around the place seemed familiar, except for this particular collection of drugs. She had no recollection of them whatsoever.

Folic acid, a necessity for pregnant women, and mifepristone, used for medical abortions, were an odd pair to replace together.

Brielle's head started to ache from all the thinking.

After a night's sleep, she got up for breakfast, still pondering over the matter, but Dustin had already left early.

A few days before, he had paraded Brielle in front of the butler, Seamus, giving the impression that Raymond was not welcoming of his daughter. For the past few days, Seamus had been trying to curry favor with Raymond in Dustin's presence, suggesting that Dustin should pick a fight with Raymond now and then. It would potentially speed up the chances of Seamus making a move.

After all, with Seamus having managed to stay under the radar within the Lynch family for so many years, it was unlikely he would easily show his true colors.

Before leaving, Dustin made a point to tell Brielle, "Don't worry about the Lynch family's affairs. You've been out and about yourself these days, so I guess you must have found some leads. If there's something you want to check out, go ahead, but don't forget to have someone watch your back."

A spark of determination flashed in Brielle's eyes, though she still felt uneasy about Dustin.

Seamus was in cahoots with the professor, and Kenzo was on that side too. Their goals were probably only known to King. In essence, everything traced back to King.

King seemed to despise her now because Max had used his body to date her for a while.

Now that King had taken over and was vaguely aware of those memories, he already had another woman in his heart. He probably couldn't wait to humiliate Brielle thoroughly.

But Brielle was out of options. King was not someone to bow to threats. To uncover the truth, she had to approach him proactively.

Death did not scare Brielle. If he had wanted to kill her, he would have done so already. There was no need to fear his underhanded tactics.

So, at noon, when the sun was at its peak, she visited the villa again.

The same servant opened the door for her.

"Ms. Brielle, can I help you?" the servant asked, her face looking a bit pale, prompting Brielle's concern.

"What's the matter?"

"The master has gone out, and the young master has locked himself in his room, refusing to come down for food. He's been in there since this morning." "Has he done this before?"

"We're not sure. The young master is quite independent. Besides, he's only recently come to stay in this villa and isn't familiar with us yet. He's probably still wary." As Brielle slowly walked forward, gathering information about the young boy, she inquired, "What's his name?"

"Isaac, but the master usually calls him 'Little Cricket'."

Only when he's upset does he call him Isaac by his full name.

The nickname was quite endearing.

Brielle smiled, reaching the villa's entrance when a woman appeared, one she had seen twice before at the main gate.

The woman, evidently a regular visitor, was making herself coffee and raised an eyebrow upon seeing Brielle enter. "Who's this?" she asked.

"The master's friend," the servant replied with respect.

The woman's gaze briefly lingered

on Brielle before she indifferently looked away, seemingly

disinterested. "Where has King gone off to now?"

"He left early this morning," the servant answered.

The servant then led Brielle to the sofa, asking her what she would like to drink.

Meanwhile, the woman with the coffee sat back down on the couch, her gaze scrutinizing Brielle.

"Thank you, but I won't have anything," Brielle declined with a smile.

The servant proceeded to the kitchen, returning with a tray, mably to continue her a

Isaac upstairs. Contempt

The woman stood up, taking the tray from her.

"Little Cricket causing trouble again? I'll take it to him. He won't eat anything you guys bring him."

A look of relief flashed across the servant's face.

"Ms. Kailee, thank you for your help."

Kailee smiled, "Little Cricket's issues are my own. I hope to build a good relationship with him, especially since I'm going to be his mother."

An awkward expression appeared on the servant's face, who remained silent.

With that statement, Kailee turned her attention to Brielle.

"Make sure our guest here is well taken care of."

She positioned herself as the lady of the house, emphasizing Brielle's status as a guest.
