"It's almost time for our lectures, guys."

Zach had checked his wrist watch and informed the rest of us. It was almost three o'clock, time for our scheduled lecture. We had finished eating for a while now and had just been having a chit chat. I forced myself to focus on what was being discussed. I did not want Aaron to become suspicious of me. He had been staring at me, this time it was affecting me the wrong way. I did not know how to avoid this class. Should I pretend I was sick? But how was I going to do that? I had just pretended a sickness, pretending another one was just drawing attention to myself. Especially the boys. They were not going to be fooled. Oh my goodness, Mother of the Moon, how was I going to replace my way out of this one? My history did not just want to remain history. It was planning to return to me in full force.

"Let's go guys."

It was time. The boys stood up and carried their bags. We had not attended any lecture for today so we still had our bags with us. I had never missed class but ever since I came to live with the Salvatore boys, I had missed twice. The last one was not their fault though.

I followed them and we started walking out of the cafeteria.

"Are you okay?"

Aaron was at my side. His eyes were concerned and inquisitive.

"Yes. I'm fine."

"You don't seem fine"

"But I am. I am fine"

"Are you sure? Because I noticed your countenance changed when that information was passed. Is it about that?"

"No. It's just I did not know they had classes like that here."

"You did not have such classes in your previous school?" "No, we did not."

I lied. It was because of this same class that Moon Rock had hated my mom and I. They made sure we suffered and treated us like outcasts. Having the same class again was going to cause a lot of issues. It was going to be disastrous. My hand went to my bracelet and began rubbing it.

"I notice you always rub that bracelet whenever you're nervous or something?"

What was this guy? A god or something? How did he know that? No one had ever pointed it out. I knew I did it when I was nervous but it was uncontrollable action. It was reflex and I just gave in to it. I was scared but I could not tell anyone. Maybe mom would have been a better person to talk to because she was already aware, she was familiar but I couldn't. I did not have the heart to. That would be worrying her and she'd start fretting over and over again. I could not do that to her. Not when she was just beginning to enjoy life here. A place where she was respected. A Luna who had a mate who loved her. No, that would be wrong and it would not sit well with my conscience. I had to replace another alternative. But was there really? Was there another alternative? There were the times I wondered why ill luck seemed to follow me around, never giving me a moment of peace or rest. I still did not know who had taken my clothes from where I had hidden them, now this Wolf-It class.

"I guess I replace it comforting."

I hope he had not noticed the unsteadiness in my voice. I hated that I could not control my emotions and at the moment I might fall on my face if I did not hold myself up well and steady.

"Something is wrong with you and I'm guessing it's the Wolf-It class. Beta Mark is not a mean lecturer. He's gentle and kind and if he notices your fear, he'll always replace a way to calm you down." "Have you seen anyone scared to transmute before?"

"Yes. A lot actually. Many have never really transmuted before others and those are the shy ones or scared ones. They think the fear or pressure of showing the public your werewolf abilities might make your wolf shrink back into your head and refuse to come out."

"Those are for students who have shy wolves, right?"

"Exactly." "Uhm.."

I was uncertain about this question I wanted to ask but it had come to me and suddenly I wanted to know. The rest of the guys were behind us.

"What is it? Ask questions, I'll answer them to the best of my knowledge. I know as a new comer in the pack and school and also, this is your first time engaging in public transmutation, you'll need all the help you can get." "Well, have you ever witnessed someone without a wolf before?"

"No, I don't think so. I have only seen students whose wolf took a while to surface but never a student without one. I mean, in college, you're already expected to have your wolf in you."

"Yes, of course."

I emitted a nervous laugh. So it has never happened. It just gets worse.

"But you have a wolf, right?"

He looked at me.

"Yes, I do. Of course, why won't I have a wolf? I'm a werewolf, aren't I? I mean, what's a werewolf without a wolf, right?"

Stop it Katherina. You're beginning to make him look at you like you've lost it. Stop babbling and replace a way out of this, I berated myself. I could not shake off this depressing feeling. My life was even over before it started. "Hey."

He placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him. "You'll be fine. I'll be there. I mean, my brothers and I will be there to cheer you on, okay?"

His voice was so calm and reassuring that it made me almost forget my dilemma. But the weight of my missing clothes and this class that was coming up in four days times kept eating away at my peace, steadily exposing me to despair. "Hey, we're at your class, Katherina."

"Oh."

I had not even realized when we got to my class. True enough, we were standing before the second year's class. Students were already beginning to take their seats, there was not a lecturer in sight yet. "Alright, have a great day girlfriend."

Lucas kissed my cheek and gave me a tight side hug, another time I might have laughed and enjoyed it.

"Take care, hot legs."

"Bye Zach, Lucas, Trenton."

"Stay calm and everything will be fine, okay?"

Aaron comforted. Only he did not know exactly why he was comforting me.

"Thank you. Have a nice class."

He raised a brow. "Have a nice class?"

I chuckled lightly. "That sounds nerdy, I'm sorry."

"Yes, it does. But it was needed too."

"Okay then. Bye."

"Bye."

Our gazes were locked again.

"Hey Aaron."

Katelyn's voice brought me back to my senses and I went out of his hold. She was at the door.

"Hey Kay. See you later."

He smiled and waved her a bye, then headed out with the rest of the boys.
