Mated To The Twin Alpha Heirs
Melissa Took Them

I was just so tired and exhausted. I'd cried myself to weakness. As soon as I and Baron had come home, and the little episode with mom that just brought about more lies. According to Baron, we could not tell her the truth. He had left me in my room to go to his. As soon as he'd gone, I'd broke into heart wrenching tears and cried my eyes out.

It had hurt. I'd wondered what I had done to Aaron. I know he thinks I was a thief but I felt so bad hearing him call me that to my face. Even though he had not directly called me a thief, he'd implied it with that question of his. That the phone was found in my bag, didn't mean that I was the thief.

But then again, what would prove me otherwise? There was no evidence to clear my name from this evidence that had smeared my name. I never believed a day would surface when Aaron would stand beside Katelyn in support against me. I had thought even his anger would have some limit when it came to me.

But Baron was the only person who stood by me. He had challenged his brothers and supported me. My fingers trailed the stone on my bracelet, wondering what would have happened without this bracelet? If I was going to be respected

more.

"Where's your maid?" Baron walked in with a tray of food and drink.

He was comfortably dressed in a pair of black shorts and plain white Tee. He had gone to freshen up, while I was still in my clothes I'd worn to school this morning.

"I don't know where she is, and I don't care honestly." I was tired of Melissa's attitude, she could be anywhere for all I cared. Right down this minute, I did not care anymore.

"Where do you think she's gone to?" He inquired, dropping the tray on the bed.

I raised a curious brow at him. "What's wrong? Has Melissa done anything to you?"

"Depends but I just need to know where she is." He pushed the tray towards me, encouraging me to start eating.

Though not really hungry but for his sake, I began eating. I took a considerate drink from the tall glass of juice first, then started on the Ravioli. It was quite delicious, I felt my stomach opening, my appetite growing.

"I don't know." Few seconds later and I noticed he was not eating, he was only drinking the wine he'd put in the tray. "Are you not hungry?"

He shook his head. "Nope. I'm good with filling my stomach with wine for now." He smiled, then patted my knee. "You keep eating, you need the food."

I scooped pasta and forced his mouth open to receive them. He chuckled and almost choked. I gave him water and continued the back and forth feeding of himself and myself.

"You're crazy." He said after a while.

"Glad you could notice. Now say ahh." I brought another forkful of food. He smiled then opened his mouth to receive it.

"I wish you would be this way to people outside." He told me.

"Be how?" I scooped some onto my own mouth.

"As you are now with me. Stubborn, strong willed and crazy."

"I'm neither of those." I said without looking at his face. Somehow, his words had made me emotional, struck a chord in me. I inhaled deeply, paying attention to the drink before me.

He stared at me, and even though I was not staring back, from my peripheral vision, I could see he was. I swallowed and took a much needed drink of my cold juice. "You said you don't know where your maid is?"

"No. Why do you keep looking for her?" What was up? He'd been asking of Melissa ever since he got in here, what happened? Had she done something wrong to him?

"You know what? I'm coming." He walked out of the room.

Suddenly very curious, I wondered more what could be happening. Not long, he came in with a black bag, I fixed my curious gaze on it. Was that why he was looking for Melissa? What was in it? "What's that?" I asked.

But he didn't say anything, only opened the bag and brought out a pair of clothes. My eyes popped in shock when I realized they were my clothes. The ones I'd been searching for. Baron had not even been here when I lost them, and I never told anyone about them. So how come he was in possession of the clothes?

"Shocked, huh?" He dropped my ink stained clothes on the bed. They kind of reeked. How long had they been wrapped in that bag.

"Yes, I'm very shocked. First off, you had not come when I began searching for these clothes. Secondly, was this why you're looking for Melissa? Thirdly, where did you get them. I mean how?" I was so confused at this point that I could stare at him.

"I saw Melissa two nights ago dropping something hastily in a garbage can, and I wondered what it was. Going close, I saw this. I wanted to talk to her first but then again, she's your maid and I decided to come to you, the maid owner." "What?!" All this time? It had been with Melissa? But why? What did she need my clothes for? Moreover, how had she known I hid them there? I know she was my maid and all but she could not have seen these clothes, they were well hidden and even if she had seen them, why had she kept it with her and just decided to discard of it two nights ago?

Was she paid to do it? But who would pay her to take my clothes, hide them and then go discard them in a garbage can? Or was this all her own doing? Did she know something? Or was she just trying to make things more difficult for me by pulling this on me?

"I need to talk to her." I told him.

"Don't." He said. "I'll talk to her myself."

"Why?"

"I have my reasons, Kathy. Please let me do this."

I sighed, then nodded.
