Leaving the place, we ran out to see what was happening. Aaron had brought out the boys and was pummeling the boys. They did not have the strength to even dodge or move away from the blows.
"Who sent you?!" He kicked Greg, then picked Bryan as though he was some weightless body and punched.
It was the weak grunts that would make one know these two were still alive.
I rushed to him. "You'll kill them, Aaron."
"Let me. Look at that girl's life hanging on the balance." He raged.
I sighed, taking in the boys' faces, they looked pitiful. They whole school had gathered on the field. I went to the guards. "Why would you release the boys to him?"
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. But he came with such anger that we could not refuse him."
It was not their fault anyways. If they had tried to stop him, Aaron would had dealt mercilessly with them. I walked away from them, back to where the boys were. I roamed my eyes for one person, but I was yet to see her. I searched the crowd for the second time, there she was.
Not bothering to hide my contempt for her anymore, I glared at her when our eyes met. I remembered Baron had collected the phones of the boys, I turned but could no longer replace her. I noticed that even lecturers had come out to watch the Salvatore boys.
They were careful not to involve themselves in this issue. They watched the scene unfold from afar. Drama had ended whatever class that was supposed to hold today.
"Katelyn, step out." Baron used his most commanding voice.
"What have I..."
"Come out!" He growled, cutting off her question.
She stepped out, defiance in her every step.
"I will ask this twice because I know you will deny if asked once." Baron did not bother to conceal his hatred for this girl.
"What is this question?" She asked.
"What crime have you committed against Katherina?"
She cut me a glare, then returned her confident gaze on Baron. "Nothing."
"I will ask again, what crime have you committed..."
"And I said nothing. No crime." She replied, before he could finish asking for the second time.
The confidence in her was alarming, I wondered how she was able to answer so confidently, forgetting she had done some many evil. Or was she so sure of herself that she had done nothing wrong? How could she live like this knowing someone was currently fighting for their life in the hospital just because of her evil.
What was she thinking when she embarked on this journey of evil and manipulation? How could one person be responsible for such heinous crimes? And to think she was still young and had a long way to go in life. Because of what? Did she know me for anything? What had come to her mind the day she had seen me? Was it to kill me? To bully me? But how?
She never knew me until I joined this school, so why? Why the unexplainable hatred? The unnecessary jealousy? The unwarranted bullying? Why?
"Do you know these boys?" Lucas asked her. He too, did little to conceal his hatred for her.
She pretended not to see Greg and Bryan. She noticed Aaron, her expression turned innocent and pouty. She walked towards him. "Aaron, see what your brothers are doing to me and in public. The humiliation, the embarras..." "Don't touch me." Aaron's voice had enough chills to ice a person to death. "Answer the question."
She sighed and stomped angrily. She turned to Lucas, then the boys. "No, I don't know them." Then to Aaron. "See, I've answered his question. Can you take me out of here?"
"I want your phone, Katelyn." Zach demanded.
She eyed him. "For what? Why should I do that?" She walked closer to Aaron.
"I will not repeat myself." Zach steeled his tone.
"I don't care."
"Guards!" Zach had been the one who commanded them. They came immediately and went to grab Katelyn. One forcefully pulled the phone from her.
"What is happening here?" Beta Mark entered the scene. Had he been in the school all these while? Or he was just coming into the school?
"Do not come close, Beta Mark." Lucas warned.
"Stay out of this, else you'll both pay for her crimes." Baron issued his own stern warning.
"Crimes?" Beta Mark sounded surprised.
"Are you trying to say you are not aware of what your cousin has been into?" Trenton's glare was enough to make the guilty confess.
"I have no idea, Your Highness." Even Beta Mark was intimidated and scared by the look but he was trying to hold his confidence.
"Cousin, see what they are doing to me." Katelyn pulled on her manipulative face, pretending to cry.
I looked at Beta Mark, he was lost and did not want to involve himself especially when the Alpha's boys were involved. At least, he was smart enough not to cross the boys.
One of them took the phone but as he was about to bring it to Zach, Katelyn kicked it out of his hands and quickly stepped on it. It broke into pieces. This girl was a devil. She broke her own phone to hide her evil deeds? "You destroyed your phone just to hide all the atrocious acts you have been committing?" Aaron stared at her in disbelief.
"You have no proof." She casually replied.
"Let her go." I said. I had not said anything for a while now, just watching.
"But why? She might run." Zach reasoned.
"Katelyn will not run. Not when there are people everywhere. Let her go." I told the guards.
They let her go. She sneered at me.
"She had destroyed the evidence on her phone. Baron, what's the next?" I asked him.
"Everyone, to the event hall."
I had never gone to the event hall before but as soon as I stepped my feet in there, the only thing I could say was...wow!
