Flashback!!

“You had my number all this but never contacted me. Why?” Tiara asked, helping Wylder in the Kitchen when they finally met on the weekend at Wylder’s place.

“Ara, please!! I don’t need your help.” Wylder said, getting scared as he saw the knife in her hand. Hell, he was scared from the moment since she offered her help in the Kitchen. She and Kitchen was the worst combination ever. Either she ended up burning herself, making something fall on the ground, or cutting her own fingers.

“But I want to chop salad,” Tiara whined. She didn’t like that Wylder was busy with cooking, and she couldn’t help him with anything. She couldn’t stay in the Kitchen because she used to start feeling hot and she didn’t like sweating a lot. There were a lot of lists of why she used to stay away from there. And one of them was she didn’t know a thing related to it, not that she was interested.

“No! You will end up kitting your fingers again, and this time, I can’t take the risk.” Wylder said, taking the knife from her hand.

“Just because Dora is not here?” Tiara asked in a low tone.

“I… I’m sorry!! I shouldn’t have said it that way.” Wylder said, and keeping the knife aside, he cupped her face. “But you know that with Dora or without Dora, I can’t see you in pain, even if it is a small cut.” Tears dwelled in Tiara’s eyes. She couldn’t say it was because Dora wasn’t with her or because of Wylder’s words.

“I know.” Tiara gave him a small smile, and they both kept staring at each other before realizing their position. Wylder was quick to pull his hand away from her and started chopping salad like a professional.

“Why did you learn cooking? I clearly remember that you weren’t fond of cooking either. So, what changed?” Tiara asked, looking at his skills.

“I learned this for my girl.”

Tiara nodded her head and thought he was talking about his fate. Little did she know that it was her; it was always her. When he started learning how to cook, it was Tiara who was in his mind.

“Lucky girls!!” Tiara chuckled. “Theo, too, had started to learn how to cook from mom to woo Lee!! Something that he had never done for me.” Wylder pressed his lips tightly, hearing his name. He was the reason behind her tears.

“What exactly happened between you two?” He asked.

“You didn’t answer my question. Why did you never contact me when you had my number?” Tiara asked with a scowl on her face.

“Because the bar that you set in front of me was too high to jump and come across you,” Wylder replied, and immediately Tiara became silent, thinking about the insult that she did to him. “I was busy making money, building an image, gaining respect, and ten more other things that you wanted in your friend. But I’m still not as rich as y..”

“Wild, I’m sorry.” Tiara apologized, cutting him in between. “You don’t have to be rich to become my friend. I just wanted to push you a little away from me so that you could focus on your career and yourself. I’m sorry, I….”

“It’s okay.”

“Let me apologize properly.”

“I have known you for all my life, Ara. And I can’t get fooled by your act. I won’t lie by saying that your words didn’t hurt me, but at the same time, I always knew that your intention was never to hurt me because you already knew how it feels when you become the reason behind someone’s pain.” He added with a smile, but Tiara couldn’t. She understood Wylder was talking about the incident when Liara fell into depression because of continuous bullying and mental torture.

She never meant to do that intentionally, and by that time, she understood how badly it affected Liara. She was left to deal with guilt and regret.

“Don’t apologize to me because I know that whatever you did, your intention was good behind it. Apologize to her for the things in which your intention wasn’t good.” Wylder spoke.

“I… I don’t know what you are talking about.” Tiara muttered, looking away.

“Ara!! You definitely know what I’m talking about right now.” Wylder spoke in a no-nonsense tone. “I learned what you did do with Lee when she had a date night with Theo. I don’t like sugarcoating things, and at the same time, I’m not that friend who will approve of everything I do and won’t tell you whether you were right or wrong.”

‘You don’t need a friend who changes when you change and who nods when you nod. Your shadow does that much better.’ Tiara recalled her mother’s words when she had once complained that Wylder didn’t stand by her side when she got in a fight with a girl, which was Tiara’s mistake, to begin with.

“Fighting over a guy with your own sister? Seriously? I expect much better things from you.” Wylder spoke and signaled her to walk toward the dining table. “It wasn’t that she was stealing your mate. You both were his mates.

“Stop scolding me, okay? If you have any problem with me, then I’m leaving.” Tiara snapped at him.

“I dare you to take a step, and I promise I will drag you back.” Wylder threatened. Tiara narrowed her eyes and started leaving and sensed him behind. She quickly started running.

“Aaaa…” She screamed when she was thrown over Wylder’s shoulder like a sac of potatoes. “Put me down!!” She started, wiggling in his grip.

“What do you think that if you will threaten to leave, then I will stop showing you the mirror, huh?” Wylder asked, taking her back to the dining table.

“Leave me, Wild.” With that, she started wiggling again, only to get a tight spank on her a*s. Her eyes widened in shock while Night enjoyed spanking her. Wylder scolded him for doing so, but he didn’t care. To be honest, he wanted to spank her at least ten times, considering Dora wasn’t there.
