“Now you’re behaving like a pup.”

“Who knows if I’m indeed a pup of five years old? I don’t remember anything.” Arabella said stupid things to prove her point, to which Wylder scoffed.

“I will buy you a new phone if you will tell me your problem.”

“What do you think I am? A gold digger?” She questioned him, getting offended. Wylder sighed, not knowing what he should do with this girl. She was stubborn. He knew that he had to replace out about that problem on his own to solve it because she wasn’t going to tell him anything.

“You’re unnecessarily picking things to fight with me, Ara,” Wylder said, pushing her away from her and standing up on his feet. “I’m already dealing with a lot of things in my life. I will appreciate it if you will help me in solving those things rather than increasing them like a spoiled princess.”

“I’m not PRINCESS.” Arabella snapped.

A small smile tugged at his lips when he heard that line again. He knew how much someone used to hate that word.

“From now onwards, I will not create any trouble in your life if I won’t be there to solve any,” Arabella spoke sincerely, hating the fact that she started missing his touch all of a sudden. “I will try to paint the images of the rest of the people.” She added next because she too didn’t want to be the reason behind Wylder’s tension.

Wylder didn’t comment on that part and observed her for a while and tried to put 2×2 about how she had scoffed when he had mentioned “our room,” and she was mad when he came in the morning.

“If you’re mad at me because I didn’t return to our room last night, then it’s because I was in the hospital as you threw Tiara with so much force that her shoulder dislocated.”

“What?”

“Yes, you…”

“So, you weren’t busy with f*****g her?” She asked, cutting him in between. She ignored the fact that what happened to Tiara Tiara got what she had started.

“What? Nooo.” Wylder shook his head. “Don’t tell me that you thought that I was with her when I wasn’t here.” He asked and saw her smiling sheepishly. “I can’t believe you.” He added in disbelief. Now he understood why she was behaving like that. Why didn’t she let him touch her?

So that was the reason because of why she cried and was upset.

“Can you blame me? You both are mates and Mates don’t leave a chance to jump on each other.” She pointed out.

“Still you were upset? Even after knowing that she is my mate.” Wylder asked, to which Arabella looked away. She knew that truth but couldn’t digest it. There was something between them that she couldn’t name yet. And it wasn’t one-sided. She had seen him reacting for her in the same way.

“How will you feel watching me with some other man?” She asked in a low tone. The way, his eyes turned blue within a second, and she got her answer.

“I’m not a man who entertains two women at the same time, Ara,” Wylder responded. “You might have sensed that Night is a thing for you that’s why you pulled that stunt outside in the swimming pool. But I will appreciate it if you don’t repeat something like that again.”

“Long story short, you’re allowed to f**k your mate while I’m not allowed to go anywhere near any male. F*****g hypocrite.” Arabella said, crossing her hands around her chest. Not that she was planning to pick anyone and sleep with him.

“I didn’t say that I will do anything like that with her,” Wylder said in a deadly serious tone. “I want Tiara and I won’t deny that.” He added, recalling the short f**k moment with Tiara in the office. But at the same time, he regretted f*****g her and letting her get into his skin using Dora’s name. The cherry on top of the fact that Arabella saw them together made him feel guilty.

It was like that one moment he was high in pleasure and in the next moment, he was hitting his lowest point.

“But at the same time, I won’t f**k her until I clear my mind about what exactly I want,” Wylder added. He always thought of himself as a man who knew what he wanted. This time, he wouldn’t let a witch or anyone play with his mind. Both Night and he was going to work together to sort out this problem.

“You won’t?” She asked getting surprised.

“No, I won’t. No matter how hard this will be, I will resist it,” Wylder said confidently. He remembered his self-control around Tiara when he acted like her best friend. History would repeat itself. “And I will expect the same from you, Ara. Don’t tempt Night intentionally, because if that happens, you will be the one who suffers the most. I know the pain of physically getting involved with someone who happens to love someone.”

“This pain will break you beyond repair.” So, keep your heart protected.

‘What if I want to take the risk?’ Arabella wanted to ask but kept her mouth shut.

“You’re my breeder, and for now, let’s just keep that relationship between us,” Wylder said, to which Arabella nodded her head. Wylder left the room without saying anything else because he had already said a lot.

‘We have now had eleven days.’ Night muttered.

‘I know, buddy. I know.’ Wylder responded, recalling the conversation that he had heard between his mothers. It wasn’t that he was planning to, but he couldn’t help with his listening power. So he was aware of the fact that he was about to get married to Tiara.

Now he had one more reason to solve this puzzle as soon as possible. He knew that she was staring at his back, so before disappearing, he turned his head, and that was when their eyes barely met for a couple of seconds.

Arabella gave him a small smile before he finally disappeared. At least he deserved this after the tantrum that she threw in the morning. She had a hard time believing that this Alpha was indeed a gem in a world full of stones.

As much as she hated the fact that he wasn’t her. She admired the fact that he was one woman’s man. He was a keeper. He valued the mate bond and didn’t want to do anything which he might regret later, unlike those stupid people who recklessly take any decision in anger.

like her, to be honest.

He admitted that his beast had some sort of feeling for her and was planning not to f**k his mate until he sorted out this issue.

‘I have started respecting this Alpha.’ She thought about it and walked towards the door to lock it. ‘Or maybe you started falling for him too.’

She shook her head, kicking these types of thoughts away. She knew she should be more focused on her work now.

She had to replace out who the hell she was.
