“Who is she?” Eliam asked when he heard the change in Wylder’s heartbeat. It was clear that Wylder realized who could be his mate. If he was not sure, he might have guessed that question.

“I’m not sure. I had visited Coven that day or maybe someone from them. Or who knows you might have mistaken to pick that scent as your mate’s scent?.” Wylder said.

He didn’t want his so-called sister to mate with his Gamma. First, she hated werewolves with passion. He didn’t want Eliam to get hurt because of her. And second, Eliam was a playboy who couldn’t control his d**k. There was no way he would ever let a person like Eliam around his sister.

“My wolf can’t make a mistake in sensing that smell.” Eliam said, and at the same time Zahir walked in, “Just like I can say that he is coming from the washroom right now.” He added.

“Excuse me?” Zahir muttered, looking at both of them in shock.

“I can smell that too,” Wylder said in a bored tone.

“He is using Citrus Fresh air fresheners in the washroom.”

“Excuse me?” Zahir glared at Eliam for discussing this.

“I can smell that too,” Wylder said.

“Before that, he got roses for Breda,” Eliam said. Now Wylder raised his hands because he couldn’t smell that. “Before that, he was in the garden, picking natural flowers for his mate. Before that, he cooked egg muffins with veggies and sausage for his pregnant mate.”

“What the hell, man? Why are we discussing this?” Zahir asked in confusion.

“He was around Gavin and one other person in the kitchen while preparing breakfast for Breda.” Eliam kept speaking, “Before that….”

“I swear, I will break your nose if you don’t stop this show,” Zahir growled at him, getting irritated. “Everyone knows that you can smell things around any person for around two days as long as he or she doesn’t take a bath, but why are we discussing this?” he asked, looking at them.

“He knows something about my mate but is not telling me.”

“Are you sure that that scent belonged to your mate?” Wylder questioned him.

“All I know is that that was the most amazing scent that I had ever smelt,” Eliam said.

“Who knows that Tiara might have changed her perfume that day?” Wylder questioned him again.

“Then go and ask your woman which perfume she used that day,” Eliam said desperately.

“Okay!! Okay!! I will ask her.”

Eliam didn’t show any sign of excitement because he didn’t want to get hurt later. “Great, I will go and check on the security of the pack.” Saying this, he walked out of the office.

“Why did I feel that you knew who his mate was but tried not to share that with him?” Zahir asked.

“I’m not sure about it yet,” Wylder replied hesitantly. “Moreover, I didn’t want to give him any fake hope.”

“I believe you if you say so,” Zahir muttered, not prying much on this topic. “Remember, mates are a blessing from the Moon Goddess, and keeping them apart is a sin. One shouldn’t take anyone’s decision on someone else’s behalf unless that person is a pup or in a state where they can’t take decisions.” He added.

“Did I ever tell you that you’re the best beta I could ever have?”

“Yeah! Multiple times.” Zahir said, shrugging his shoulders. “I should get back to work to keep the position of the best forever.”

“I want an A-Z report of Tiara from the previous year.”

“I will try, man.” You know that she has a habit of keeping her personal life private. I will see what I can do to it; until then, try to get as much as you can from her.” Zahir said before getting back to his work.

Wylder went to the hospital to check on Tiara and found Eden with her.

“Great job, Mom.” Thank you for getting as much information as possible from her. He mind-linked her and smiled at Tiara.

‘I don’t understand why you are doing this, son! She said it but didn’t question him.

Tiara started to leave the bed to jump on Wylder and hug him tightly when he stopped her and picked her up in his hand.

“Time to go back to your room.” He spoke softly, and she smiled brightly.

“Oh, Wild…”

“Stay within your limits if you don’t want Night to drop you.” He added it quickly because she would have started using the mate bond. Eden didn’t follow them but instead dialed Brandon’s number, knowing that her son might have forgotten to inform them about it.

“Hey, Brandon. I called you to share some bad news with you.” She spoke directly to the point, knowing that he didn’t like beating around the bush. “I know I brought your princess with us yesterday, but yesterday itself, her shoulder got dislocated and…”

“As long as her neck doesn’t break. There is no need to share any news related to her with Hunter.” There was a reply.

“Sofi?” Eden’s eyes widened in shock. Not because Sophia received her call when she called Brandon, but because of her words.

“Hi, Eden!! I’m sure Wylder can handle her perfectly. I will request that you don’t inform Hunter or me about her for a couple of weeks. We’re actually going through a lot of things, you know.”

“Umm.. uhh..” Eden wanted to ask whether she was drunk or had hung her head somewhere. But she didn’t. Asking for anything on the phone wasn’t safe in the werewolf world. “Okay.

“Great. I will talk to you later.” With that, Sophia disconnected the call.

“That was weird.” She muttered, and she could sense something wasn’t right. She had informed Wylder. With that, she followed his scent.

“Do you remember this painting?” Eden heard Wylder asking when she entered the room. She smiled, looking at the beautiful painting of Sophia and Wylder that was painted by Tiara.

“Of course. How can I forget this painting?” Tiara said with a big smile. “You asked me to paint two similar paintings.” She added before frowning. “But I don’t remember ever painting another painting.”

“Seriously? You don’t remember that? Don’t tell me that you lost your memories after you hit your head.” Wylder asked, looking at her suspiciously.

“Maybe. That can be possible. Because I really don’t remember painting this painting twice. But then, there is no way anyone else can paint this except me.” She added confidently, and Eden watched Wylder move his hand back and tighten his fist.

He had a habit of doing this or inserting his hand into his pants when he didn’t want to hit someone.

“I really wish your shoulder wouldn’t have been dislocated now so that you would have painted something for me.”

“I wish the same.”

“I will see you later, on Alpha’s duty.” Saying that Wylder kissed her forehead and started leaving from there. “Let’s go, Mom. Let her rest.” He said this and held her wrist to bring Eden out of the guest room.

‘What’s going on, Wild?’ Eden asked through the mind link.

‘Just act natural, Mom.’ He responded, dashing out of the pack house. He had to take his anger and emotions out, or he would burst like a bubble at any moment because of what he had recently learned.

‘I want to kill that bitch, right now, right here.’ Night growled in anger. Wylder didn’t give a damn about his clothes and shifted into his wolf form, running into her with four paws instead of two. He was scared that Night might use his hand to harm someone if he shifted into Lycan form.

‘Don’t lose your mind, Night.’

‘How can I not after learning that she is not our Ara?’ Night growled loudly, running into the forest, ready to eat, kill, and rip anything or anyone in his way.
