“Hush, baby,” he muttered, placing his finger on her lips. “You won’t be able to do anything because, in our world, women are extremely weak during pregnancy. And after the stunt you’ve played tonight, You will need at least a day to get your energy back.”

“Zahir..”

“Ssshh… I don’t want to hear your voice. So, now you know that I won’t let my pups anywhere near you. You can return to your sister and are allowed to do whatever you want with her because, after transferring my pup, I will reject you. Just wait and watch.”

A lone tear escaped from Breda’s eyes at that threat. Breda knew only one person could stop this from happening.

‘Alpha,’ she thought, linking Wylder.

‘Are you okay, Breda?’

‘Zahir said that he would transfer my pup into someone else’s womb.’ She informed me in fear. There were already four omegas in the omega quarter that Wylder purchased from the auction. Anyone of them would be ready to become a breeder of Beta’s pup. She didn’t hear Wylder’s response after she informed him of this news: ‘Alpha?’

‘You tried to kill me, Breda. That’s a huge crime, and I’m not sure whether you’ve even opened your mouth until now or not. Anyway, I will make sure that Zahir wouldn’t do anything like that until the pup is born or you do anything wrong, whichever situation occurs earlier.’

Wylder closed the mental link and looked at the sleeping figure in front of him.

“Don’t touch me.” Arabella whimpered, trying to fight with no one in real life but maybe her demons were in her dream.

“I’m here,” Wylder whispered, caressing her hair. “I’m here.” He muttered. He couldn’t help but wonder how Liara stopped him from searching for Tiara’s soul.

Why did she do that?

It was a clear indication that she wanted me to say that I should mind my own business.

‘Wylder?’

‘Yes, Mom’

‘I had to inform you about something that happened in the morning when you brought Tee to the pack house. I had called Brandon to inform him about Tee’s situation.’ Wylder shut his eyes when he realized that he had totally forgotten that part. He mentally thanked his mother for covering up that part. “At that moment, Sofi received the call and…”

Eden narrated everything that happened at that moment. Wylder thanked her before closing the mental link.

“It means Aunt Sophia knows.” Night said, praising her talent.

It seems so; the only reason she might be silent is because this fake Tiara would have threatened to harm Tiara’s body. And we all know how much Tiara loved herself.’

‘Yeah!!’

Wylder let Arabella sleep and planned to visit his best friend, who needed someone beside him for sure. He used his nose to replace where Zahir was. After searching for a while, he finally landed in the gym, where his beta was throwing punches at the punching bag, hard and non-stop.

He reached Zahir, and he wasn’t crying and throwing punches at the same time. Wylder knew that both he and his wolf were deeply hurt by Breda’s lies. And these tears were a sign of his preparation for rejecting his mate.

“Wanna talk about it?” He asked calmly.

“She never loved me.” With that, Zahir punched the punching bag and looked at Wylder, only to get hit by the punching bag in return. “Everything was just acting for her,” he growled, looking at the punching bag that had hit his bag a moment before.

“We all know that she did, Zahir. She still does. Words can deceive you but not action. You’re mad at her, I understand that part but at least don’t question her love.”

“She is Zelda’s half-sister and came here with the purpose of keeping an eye on you.” He informed. Though this revelation shocked Wylder, he masked his expression because he didn’t want his beta to ruin his relationship with his mate just because she was the sister of an evil person.

“And soon her purpose changed when she fell in love with you.” Wylder pointed out the way Zahir glared at him.

“She is a witch; fooling anyone isn’t a big deal for her. And the fact that she used black magic shows that she is far from a virtuous witch.”

Wylder didn’t dare say a word about this because he knew Zahir’s words were true. That was the reason he never sensed that she was a witch.

“But I wonder why she did anything like that tonight? I mean, we’ve all known her for the last four years. She had never played this stunt before. What makes her do anything like that all of a sudden? Was she forced or threatened, or did she do this willingly?” Wylder questioned. “There are a lot of questions in our mind, and only Breda has the answer to that question.”

“Use your brain calmly instead of taking any decision in anger. I know I shouldn’t be suggesting this, but you can even use the mate bond to get your work done. Hmm?”

Zahir looked at him sharply before slamming his lips against Wylder’s lips.

‘What the hell…?’
